Young NTR has once again stressed that he is not cut to play the role of his legendary grandfather.

Despite multiple requests from Mahanati team, NTR denied playing cameo as Late NTR in the biopic of Savitri.While Naga Chaitanya had no qualms over playing ANR’s role, Tarak said that he has no guts to attempt it.

Tarak has made it pretty clear that he wouldn’t be attempting to play NTR’s character forever. This firm statement from Tarak has become a talking point as Balakrishna is currently on a mission to do biopic of NTR.

The film that took off few weeks ago has hit a roadblock as director Teja walked out of it. Team NTR is currently searching for a director that can handle the mega project.

While experienced directors like Raghavendra Rao are against the idea making a biopic of the legendary actor-politician, Balakrishna is determined to give a tribute to his father with the film.

Although NTR Jr.’s statement got nothing to do with Balakrishna’s film, people are reading between the lines and saying that the young actor is giving a subtle warning to his Babai.

In the film industry, things change with just after sunset each day. And that is how some films get a kickstart and some get called off. Looks like one producer has now dropped his two upcoming films. Here is an inside snippet.

Producer Anil Sunkara makes films with both 14 Reels and also on his own production banner AK Entertainments. But in the recent times, while 14 Reels scored a disaster like “LIE”, even Anil’s own production house lost big betting on “Kirrak Party”. Quite surprisingly, now Anil is said to have dropped two interesting projects after these developments.

Actually, Venkatesh and Teja’s film was supposed to take off but for reasons unknown, the film didn’t happen. Later Venky moved to Fun and Frustration to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. And then Rana’s rumoured biopic of Stuartpuram notorious robber “Tiger Nageswara Rao” under the direction of Vamsi Krishna Akella is also Anil’s movie only. But this film is also not happening any soon.

Some say that Anil Sunkara dropped the two projects due to some financial constraints, while some say that his friends starting “14 Reels Plus” without him as a partner led to dropping of these two films.

Mahesh Babu’s “Bharat Anu Nenu” is being appreciated by many including the likes of Megastar Chiru, Ministers KTR and Nara Lokesh and Loksatta JP as well. All these people are praising the movie because they feel that it presented the present-day politics, scenarios and issues in an honest way.

After making such a film, one should feel more responsible about their next steps. Otherwise whatever they have achieved will be like an ash poured into the river. Other day at the Bharat Anu Nenu success meet, the prime sponsor of the event is none other a private junior college owned by one of the biggies from Andhra Pradesh. And that’s what triggered ire of some netizens now.

When Mahesh took such long classes as CM Bharat over the way education is being sold and taught in private institutions. On the reel, Bharat takes action to close such private corporate schools and colleges, but in real life, Mahesh is getting ads and sponsorship from similar educational institutions. Probably Mahesh and Co might have just went ahead with the promotions but would have never expected that some audiences will take it this way.

For a while, there is absolute silence on TV channels with no presence of Sri Reddy. Neither she has come up with anything sensational to make sure that her presence will be felt. After scolding Pawan Kalyan with abusive words, the actress faced severe backlash and the entry of PK through Twitter made almost the all the channels put these Casting Couch debates on hold.

But after taking some break, Sri Reddy is back now. Today she has held a press conference at Press Club, announcing her further plans about Casting Couch issue. Earlier an audio tape was leaked where Sri Reddy is heard saying that she will see the end of Pawan Kalyan, and now the actress accused that Tamanna leaked it.

The visuals of “Mahanati” are creating a storm at the moment as director Nag Ashwin perfectly reflected the vintage looks through his vision. And Keerthi Suresh is also convincing in the role of legendary actress Savitri. But she’s not the first choice for the role.

When the news of this biopic broke out, many felt that a Telugu girl should do the role as that happens to be Savitri’s role. That may not be a right demand, because we’re the country that watched Hollywood actor Ben Kingsley playing Mahatma Gandhi on the silver screen. The first pick for Mahanati is none other than Nitya Menon and her presence would have surely created more intensity and hype for the project. However, she lost the role as she doesn’t want to cut the fab. Yes, director Nag Ashwini is said to have asked her to slim down a bit to suit the role, but she doesn’t want to lose weight.

Generally, heroines feel unhappy when directors/producers ask them to put weight but that will not be true in the converse. Nitya Menon has, however, no qualms about losing the role and she has earlier said that ‘dates’ issue didn’t allow her to pick this Mahanati.

Every director has their own strength and star-director Trivikram is known for his magical word spells. They are rhyming, enchanting and thought provoking. But it looks like mega director wants to bring a new change to his work now.

Can you imagine that Trivikram is now hiring a new dialogue writer for his next film that features Jr NTR in the lead? Yes, he’s doing. And that doesn’t mean he wants to hire a writer such that there will be a huge change in the presentation, but he’s hiring one for a reason.

Penchal Das, the folk singer-writer who wrote and sang Nani’s “Daari Choodu” song from Krishnarjuna Yuddham is now onboard NTR-Trivikram movie. The reason is that NTR will be uttering Rayalseema (Chittor based) slang dialogues in the film for the fuller length and Trivikram thought its better to hire someone that himself taking all the stress. Though he has written beautiful Chittor slang dialogues for Kota Srinivas Rao in Attarintiki Daredi, the star director now wants to focus on direction rather writing, they say.

Already shooting for this film is underway where the unit completed a single schedule by canning some crucial action sequences.

Ever since the news of Teja’s walkout from “NTR” broke out many are eagerly waiting to known who will helm this most awaited biopic. Later news broke out that Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is essaying the role of his father legendary NTR, is himself directing the film. Now, there are mixed reactions to this move.

The moot question is, will Balayya be able to direct the film like a professional director is what many people ask. That said, are all these big directors making terrific films only due to their own merit? It’s not like that. They are always supported by an able team and Balayya too has one including art director, cinematographer and editor. For the kind of experience Balayya has as an actor, he’s worthy enough to direct this biopic without any second thoughts.

After breathing cinema with more than 100 films in his kitty, surely Balayya knows better than many young directors when it comes to composing a shot, staging and blocking, shot division and narrative flow. All that experience now comes pretty handily to direct this film. And he will perfectly know which emotion to be exaggerated and which one to be toned down, opine film experts. So it will be a cakewalk for him to handle the direction.

The only thing Balayya should worry about is, all this time he will be focusing more on emulating NTR on the silver screen, while the director (Teja or anyone) will take care of rest of the characters. But now, Balayya has to take care of not just his character but the whole lot.

A couple of days ago already director Koratala Siva and producer DVV Danayya felt happy to share that Megastar Chiranjeevi called them and appreciated for Bharat Anu Nenu. Now the man himself reveals about it.

During his interaction in Dallas, TX, Megastar Chiranjeevi confirmed that he watched “Bharat Anu Nenu” on the first day itself at his home. “Our whole family is a huge favourite of Mahesh. We like him well. In fact, we watched the film Bharat Anu Nenu on the first day at our home” he said.

So how is the film? “They didn’t pollute the film for commercial aspects. I called Mahesh and appreciated him for that quiet and riveting performance. They have given a wonderful message in a contemporary setup”, Megastar added. He’s, however, more praises for the press-conference scene.

“Especially that press conference scene is amazing. I myself got involved in the scene and clapped when Mahesh questions the journalists. That’s a terrific scene in the film” said Chiranjeevi.

Needless to say, many times the personal life of Chiranjeevi became a hotly debated topic on TV channels. Especially Srija’s initial marriage episode became fodder for media rather the good work done by the Megastar. Maybe he has connected to that scene strongly due to that emotional quotient.

In an exclusive update from a source in the know, we have come to know that Mehreen is said to have been roped in as the leading lady in Nithiin’s next film. This project will be directed by Venky Kudumula, who had made a successful debut with Naga Shaurya’s Chalo.

Apparently, Venky felt that Nithiin-Mehreen’s pairing will bring in the freshness to the movie and zeroed in on the young actress. The movie will be produced under Nithiin’s home banner. The project will be launched soon after Nithiin wraps up Srinivasa Kalyanam’s North Indian schedule.
