For a long time, both the brothers Surya and Karthi are struggling to score a masala hit at the box office. However, Karthi recently surprised with Khakee and walked away with both good collections and honours for acting. Now, he wants to give another raw treat to audiences.

Karthi is all set to turn “Chinababu”, as he’s coming up as a farmer under the direction of Pandiraj. The film deals with a village’s story where the protagonist is a farmer and what happens when these food makers suffer from certain issues. Looking at the posters and the title, one would get a doubt if this film is Karthi’s Rangasthalam. That’s how the rustic feel is.

needless to say, mass masala films didn’t do well for Karthi any time but whenever he took to some method acting for some rugged and realistic characters, those films worked out. It looks like he has another winner on hand with Chinababu.

While Imman’s music is an asset for the film, director Suriya is producing the movie for his brother. And then we have “Akhil” fame Sayesha Saigal as the leading lady.

Mega brother Naga Babu, who had mired into neck-deep debts after his production venture with Ram Charan, Orange, turned out to be disaster, has made interesting yet shocking comments.

“More than the result of Orange and the losses incurred with Orange, what had upset me more was I couldn’t give a hit to Ram Charan despite producing a film with him soon after his blockbuster Magadheera. Even releasing after his Magadheera, I couldn’t deliver a hit to Charan. That has pained me more than the losses of Orange,” Naga Babu said.

Naga Babu said it had raised doubts on himself. “At times, even I had felt that whether I won’t fit as producer. That’s the reason, I had stayed away from films and moved onto TV serials. But, Jabardasth has changed my life altogether again.”

Naga Babu, who is presenting Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya that is releasing on May 4, recalled how it happened. He said one day Allu Aravind has come to him and told him that he should turn producer again. He said he felt whether it is necessary again. But Naga Babu was convinced by Allu Arjun himself. “Allu Arjun has come to me and told me that it would be good if I take part of the film’s production. I readily agreed,” shared Naga Babu.

Naga Babu said he doesn’t need to put a lot of effort as by then the film’s story, director and rest of the things have been finalised. He said he didn’t need to strain much and he said he has enjoyed the making of Naa Peru Surya. On concluding note, Naga Babu said NPS has given him boost, inspiration to produce more films in future and continue as producer.

Salman Khan’s physical fitness trainer Rakesh R Udiyar is going to train Ram Charan. Mumbai-based celebrity fitness expert and trainer, Rakesh R Udiyar, who also trained Aamir Khan for Dangal and several other noted Bollywood celebs, has been zeroed in on by Ram Charan and Upasana. Ram Charan has personally recruited Rakesh for his physical fitness. The overall pre-release business of Telugu theatrical rights is close to 58+ crores in Telugu states and 7 crores in Karnataka. And, overseas rights fetched 6 crores only, thus making the total theatrical business to 72 crores. Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film are sold for 1.5 and 2 crores respectively.

In the current scenario, with holidays around, an above-average talk will help Allu Arjun easily overtake this figure and paddle all his distributors to safe shores. In the recent times, we’ve Bharat Anu Nenu sold for 100+ crores and the film might end up a little short of this. Rather giving blows to distributors in that way, it’s better a film gets for fewer rates like Rangasthalam. Seems like Allu Arjun played this safe game well.

At a time when the casting couch industry has lowered the opinion of many people on Film Industry, what if a heroine falls in love with a person who has no good opinion on films? It’s not a good or bad timing, but director Mohan Krishna Indraganti has come up with similar stuff.

“Sammohanam” and like the title sounds, really the trailer is so attractive, mesmeric and intriguing. A common man (Sudheer Babu) who thinks that literature will live forever but not cinema, falls for a movie starlet Sameera who happens to be a beautiful and top heroine. And then the drama starts.

The guy thinks that her beauty will fade in time but the actual person in her will stay for long. The girl asks him if he thinks that she too got compromised for career and success. A beautiful montage of emotions carved by Indraganti, Vivek Sagar’s soul-stirring background score and PG Vinda’s marvelous visuals made this trailer truly catching and touching.

Looks like after “Ami Tumi”, Indraganti moved to a beautiful love story rather coming up with a romantic comedy. And, did we mention that Sudheer Babu is looking so uber cool and Aditi Rao Hydari is just magical? They are!!

A few months ago, the makers of Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya were at loggerheads to grab the April 27 date to release their movies. No party was keen on forgoing the long weekend advantage.

However, both the parties had a gentleman’s agreement and BAN released on April 20th, while NPS is scheduled to release on May 4th, with a healthy 2 weeks gap. This compromise is now proving to be a huge advantage for both the movies.

Hollywood superhero flick Avengers: Infinity War released on April 27 and is wreaking havoc not just in America but even in India. The film has collected over 125 crore gross and has set a new opening weekend record for any Hollywood movie ever released in India.

Infinity War’s storm at the box offices in North India and all the major southern cities like Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, including many other A centres down South. The film’s box office tsunami in North America (grossed over $250M in its opening weekend) is anybody’s guess.

This means that either BAN or NPS would have been battered severely in the hands of Infinity War had any of these movies released on April 27. But by skipping the date, both Mahesh and Bunny had made a wise decision and their movies have escaped the Avengers scare to land in a safe zone now.
