ANR Biopic: Here Is A Rumor And The Reality
The whole country is now roaming around biopics of famous people and Telugu cinema lovers are also excited to see three biopics in the coming days. While the first of them is Savitri’s “Mahanati”, second will be NTR’s biopic “NTR” and another one is YSR’s biopic “Yaatra”. And here is an interesting snippet.
If at all biopics are to be made, it could be any celebrity’s story. We’ve now Sanjay Dutt’s biopic coming up in Bollywood with Ranbir Kapoor in lead under Raju Hirani’s direction. If “Sanju” is coming, then Tollywood could come up with biopics of many other legendary film stars from LV Prasad to Chiranjeevi, ANR to Brahmanandam.
Buzz has that Akkineni Nagarjuna is quietly working on the biopic of his father, legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Few of the Annapurna Film School students are said to be working with some senior writers and journalists to develop a concrete script for a film on ANR, say some rumours.
Sources from the Annapurna Studios revealed that there is no such plan on Nagarjuna’s mind at the moment. Currently, he’s focused only on releasing ‘Officer, wrapping his film with Nani, and finalising the script of Akhil-Venky Atluri movie.
Probably that idea of making ANR’s biopic might get triggered only after one sees how Savitri fares at the box office. This is the first time Telugu audiences are going to give their verdict over a biopic, so wait for the reality check.
Case Against Pawan For Video Tampering!
Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who has been waging a war against certain media houses owing allegiance to Telugu Desam Party for the last few days, landed in trouble on Friday with the police filing a criminal case against him.
Pawan was booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly tampering with a video telecast by TV9 and also for instigating protests against some media houses.
Telangana Union of Working Journalists has lodged the complaint with the Banjara Hills police station.
The police registered a case under IPC sections 469, 504 and 506 against Pawan and his associates whose names were not mentioned in the first information report (FIR).
The police, in their investigation, found that the evidence produced by TV9 stating that Pawan, president of Jana Sena Party, had tampered with the video was tampered with.
The video pertains to a vulgar comment and a filthy gesture made against him by an aspiring actress Sri Reddy a couple of weeks ago.
The channel claimed that it had muted the alleged foul comment made by Sri Reddy and also blurred her gesture. However, Pawan allegedly posted on Twitter the unedited video attributing it to TV9.
For the last few days, Pawan had been attacking Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh alleging that they, in collusion with a section of media houses were using Sri Reddy to malign his image.
Tuni-Type Conspiracy Against Pawan?
Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan was supposed to tour parts of Chittoor district on April 21, 22 and 23 and is also scheduled to visit parts of Bapatla in Guntur district on April 30.
However, he cancelled both the programmes. Reason: intelligence department sources indicated to him that there is a possibility of anti-social elements disrupting his programmes and resorting to violence so as to create troubles for him.
This was indicated by Jana Sena Party sources on Thursday. According to them, Pawan was supposed to tour Settipalli village in Chittoor district to study land acquisition issues and Chittoor town to interact with the people who were affected by highway construction.
At the same time, he is scheduled to lead a rally to honour commonwealth games gold medallist Venkat Rahul from Stuartpuram to Bapatla, where the latter is supposed to be felicitated.
“However, both the programmes have been cancelled following alert from intelligence department,” JSP sources said.
According to them, the department warned that there was a possibility of some vested interests indulging in Tuni-type of violent incidents (In Tuni, some miscreants set fire to a train during Kapu agitation three years ago) during Pawan’s tour.
“The police alerted that some selfish forces were consulting hired goondas from neighbouring states to create violence,” the party sources said.
Pawan told the party workers not to get disturbed by such plans but continue to plan the party programmes to expose the failures of the TDP government and highlight people’s issues.“No force on the earth can stop me from meeting the people,” he said.
Why is Pawan Behaving So? Sabbam Has Logic!
Anyone who closely follows Andha Pradesh politics would know about Pawan Kalyan’s often confused statements, frequently-changed stands on various issues. Reasoning his approach, ex MP and neutral politician Sabbam Hari has given a perfect logic.
Calling Pawan as a clever politician, Sabbam said Pawan is willingly keeping everyone in confusion. “Once he attacks BJP, later he supports BJP. Earlier, he had supported TDP to the core. Now, he is against TDP. He is sailing with communist parties but he doesn’t talk anything against BJP now. All these he does to keep everyone around him in confusion. This seems to be his strategy. But we never know if he would support TDP post 2019 elections or not. But one thing is for sure, TDP will not join NDA,” said Sabbam.
Explaining why Pawan had initially attacked BJP and later patched up with the Lotus party, Sabbam said, “I heard Pawan had issues with Venkaiah Naidu. So, he had attacked BJP then. Later, Venkaiah has been given constitutional post by sidelining from mainstream politics. This is what led to Pawan-BJP’s patch-up. Pawan is impressed with the move. So, he is now positive towards BJP. This is the inside talk.”
Sabbam said TDP and YSRCP remain the top contenders in 2019 and are favourite.
IPL Slaps hefty Fine on Kohli
Indian Premier League (IPL) has imposed Rs 12 lakh fine on Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli for maintaining slow over-rate during the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.
Besides a hefty fine, Kohli also received an official reprimand for slow over-rate throughout his side’s innings in the clash, which Chennai Super Kings won by five wickets.
An IPL release said that “as it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh.” CSK defeated RCB by chasing the target of 206 runs with the help of Mahendra Singh Dhoni (70 not out off 34 deliveries) and Ambati Rayudu’s 53-ball 83. After the defeat, RCB stood at the sixth position with just four points in their account. It won only two matches so far.

Director Appreciates, Vijay D Offers Drink
Keeping aside his arrogant nature and snobbish attitude, Vijay Deverakonda is a true performer. He displayed his versatility as an actor in very few films he did so far.Vijay is presently working for a bilingual political drama film NOTA under the direction of Anand Shankar.
The title NOTA stands for ‘None Of The Above’, an option that allows the voters to participate in the voting process but not choose any candidate.
Apparently, Anand Shankar is bowled out by Vijay’s acting prowess. The director informed Vijay to have stunned one and all including Sathyaraj present on the sets by performing a three page intense Tamil dialogue scene in one take.

Kathi Mahesh: My Security Pawan’s Responsibility
Controversial film critic Kathi Mahesh now demands that Pawan Kalyan should provide him protection.Kathi Mahesh says that his life in danger with threats from Pawan Kalyan’s fans.
Well, he said same thing few months ago but he stopped bringing this topic after he became darling of media as Channels gave him huge coverage and made him a star as he made some startling allegations against Pawan Kalyan.
At one time, he made studios of TV news channels as home address and they have encouraged him by inviting for any discussion.But when Pawan Kalyan started exposing the smear campaign that these channels have been doing against him at “behest of Lokesh”, the channels went in defensive mode.
Since Pawan Kalyan tweeted against the “Yellow” channels, Sri Reddy has stopped appearing on TV screen. Likewise, Kathi Mahesh is also not being invited. His social media accounts were blocked.
Now he has created new Twitter account and has posted a video saying that he is getting threats from Pawan Kalyan fans. Kathi demands that Pawan Kalyan should rein his fans in. “My security is Pawan Kalyan’s responsibility,” he concludes.

They Refused, I Resigned – Lakshmi Narayana
A day after Maharashtra government approved senior IPS officer VV Lakshminarayana’s resignation who was working as the Additional DGP (Planning and Coordination), he has met local farmers in Guntur district’s Yazali village. Lakshminarayana said he had sought the government to post him in National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) to serve villages, but the government refused him saying he is an IPS officer and what he would do in villages.
Lakshminarayana said he has resigned his job to serve villages on his own. He said he would love to serve farmers who bring light into the lives of many. He questioned why farmers won’t get any increments.
Lakshminarayana said he would do his best to farmers if he is made Agricultural Minister. He added he would serve as a social worker if he is not made agricultural minister. With this, it is very clear that Lakshminarayana’s entry into politics is almost confirmed and only a formal announcement is awaited.
#PawanKalyan Effect: Rating Option Removed
Motivated by the tweets posted by Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, his fans have done an unthinkable which is now worrying some media houses. At a glance, PK’s fans how started complaining about Kathi Mahesh’s twitter account that has lakhs of followers and after reviewing the content, Twitter deleted it. Here is their next adventure.
Some enthusiastic Pawan Kalyan fans have started rating apps of the said TV channels on google play, app store and also on their Facebook pages. A big channel’s app rating used to be 3.6 stars but now it has fallen to 1.5 stars on google play. And then Facebook pages also have the rating option where the channel’s rating has fallen to 1 out of 5 stars.
Guess what, unable to beat this heat, as the ratings that hit low paint a bad picture altogether, a couple of channels have removed the rating option on their official Facebook pages. One channel has cut down the live telecast on YouTube as fans are seen indulging in a war of words, exchanging vulgar words and scolding the channel badly.
Perhaps that is the reason some channels slowed down on Pawan Kalyan episode as fans are creating unwanted messy stuff on social media. However, this aggressive behavior of fans may not help Janasena president in the long run.
