Ever since actress Sri Reddy made accusations of casting couch on ace producer Suresh Babu’s younger son Abhiram, there is a ripple of uneasiness splashing in the film industry. And the actress went on saying that Abhiram cheated her on the pretext of marriage and also lured her by promising some film offers. Sill, there is no response from Suresh Babu.

And then the likes of Allu Arvind clarified that Suresh wants to abide by the land of the law and want a legal recourse into the whole issue. But for the first time, Suresh appeared before media other day. He didn’t come in person but has made his name splash across social media with the latest poster of his upcoming project.

“Pelli Choopulu” fame Tarun Bhaskar is all set to come up with a new film titled “Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi?” and Suresh Babu is the presenter of the film. Yesterday night after screening a test show and getting a terrific response for it, Suresh’s very own Suresh Productions tweeted the first look. That’s how the ace producer made his presence felt.

On the other hand, Tollywood is slowly recovering from the blows given by the likes of Sri Reddy which always projected the industry in a bad light for months. Now they are enjoying some super successes of new films and first looks.

“Sorry Varma!! But you did a great job!!” is what many mega fans are saying right now, in the wake of the director’s claims that he instigated actress Sri Reddy to blast Pawan Kalyan with a cuss word.

Like we all know, this particular incident erased all the so-called differences in the mega family. Especially when there is talk that Pawan Kalyan is miffed with Allu Arvind and Allu Arjun not going sweet with Pawan Kalyan fans, the incident totally changed all the dimensions. Mega heroes collectively stated that family is family when it comes to tackling ‘personal attack’. In the end, they should thank Varma for doing such huge favour, though what he did is wrong.

Commenting on this happening, some ask, who will play Ram Gopal Varma for Nandamuri family. Known thing is that all is not well between Balakrishna and Jr NTR from a long time. Though everyone is feigning ignorance, NTR is not invited for many Nandamuri functions and his absence at “NTR” movie launch further confirmed that the differences are not solving any sooner.

So if someone plays something like a Varma, fans feel that even Nandamuri family will get united. But let us expect that these ‘peacemakers’ don’t instigate someone to utter cuss words to unite families.

Other day, popular news channel TV5, which is facing the ire of Janasena president Pawan Kalyan rather openly, has come up with a small bulletin that stunned everyone. Apparently the ‘Business News’ bulletin of the channel was noticed saying that ‘Telugu heroes are not even zeroes, they are negative’.

While industry folks haven’t responded till the evening, somehow the clip caught the eye of Manchu Manoj by the evening. Wasting no time, Manoj tweeted, “Is this Business Breakfast or Comedy Breakfast?? Nice & funny, well industry inka announce cheyaledhu ga, appude antha avesham odhu”. He seems to have got miffed with program which is aired with a view that Film Industry decided not to give ads to TV channels.

Adding more, Manoj said, “Okkati Gudhutadu anta seriously? Nuvve gudhi nuvve padipothav. Cool babai..End of the day we all r brothers” (Seriously do you want to hit us? You will fall down by trying to hit us).

Reacting on the same, Sai Dharam Tej added, “Babai Manoj, let’s wish him a speedy recovery… get well soon sir”, through his tweet.

When many film industry biggies are staying silent on the whole thing as they don’t want to rub the wrong side of the media, it looks like this Manchu and Mega hero don’t want to stay like that.

There are various incidents of Asifa rape and murder, Justice Loya case, CJI impeachment and many startling national politics that actually need the attention the public. But for two months, Telugu TV viewers are bombarded only with one particular program: Casting Couch.

Led by Sri Reddy and debated by the likes of Babu Gogineni and Mahesh Kathi, this particular Casting Couch allegations made by the actress and her set of friends became prime time news every day. And each day, Sri Reddy started revealing new names, satires, demanding theatres for small films and much more. With the involvement of Mahila Sangams and Ram Gopal Varma, the incident took a big turn.

Thanks to Pawan Kalyan finally, now there is no single debate or unwanted news story on this particular thing. From last few days, almost all the TV channels are conducting debates on Child Rape law and implementation, impeachment and other important issues. Though there is no denial that casting couch issue is not a small thing, glorifying it with everyday debates bough headaches to audiences. And now they are relieved.

While few channels are still conducting debates on Tollywood they are sticking to topics like ‘ban’ and ‘control of ads’ but not casting couch and Sri Reddy. And others are busy talking about some new issues.

Writer and director Koratala Siva has scored his fourth successive hit with Bharat Ane Nenu. He has already placed himself in the league of the top five directors in Tollywood. His next project is said to be with Allu Arjun, and Siva may announce it officially after a 3 month break.

Meanwhile, Koratala Siva has grand plans. Apart from his directorial ventures, the star director is also planning to turn producer in near future. Siva himself has confirmed it in a recent interview.

Siva is planning to set up his own production house and encourage new talent. “There are exceptional aspiring directors and writers. I may like many stories but I may not direct them all due to time constraints. That’s why I am planning to give all the bright, young talents a chance to prove themselves. I’ll make a formal announcement when the time is right,” Siva said.

Jr NTR enthralled every one at again as he attended the muhurat event of Kalyan Ram’s latest movie. To be directed by noted cinematographer KV Guhan, this film is a suspense thriller that will have two heroines, Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey and beautiful mallu girl Nivetha Thomas.

Cut to Nivetha, she has earlier impressed everyone with her performances in films like Gentleman and Ninnu Kori and later she romanced Jr NTR as well as Jai Lava Kusa. However, she’s not going to romance Kalyan Ram in this movie and that part will be taken care by Arjun Reddy girl Shalini only.

Buzz is that Nivetha plays a key role in the movie which is not in any relation to the hero. Once their paths cross, the film will take a new turn, says a source. Apparently, thriller films need terrific cinematography work and now that a cameraman himself is directing the movie, we could expect something terrific. And let us see how Nivetha’s role will the carved out.

Meanwhile, Kalyan Ram’s recent picks including Na Nuvve and this thriller are sounding pretty new. Looks like he wants to shed his mass image and reinvent himself.

“Mahanati” is the upcoming film that will unveil the true life of mega heroine Savitri on the silver screen. As everyone is waiting for this biopic to hit cinemas, here comes a talk that is going on the film industry.

When the name of Samantha is first announced in connection with this film, actually many felt that she’s playing Savitri’s role. But Keerthi Suresh bagged the title role and of course, she impressed everyone with her perfect portrayal of the vintage starlet. But the presence of Samantha is what creating unwanted diversion feel many.

From a couple of weeks, the makers are busy revealing the posters of Samantha in her Madhuravani role and they have come up with ‘gold spot’ poster of the actress where she posed with Vijay Devarkonda. Surely there seems to be some love track in the movie and that is making Mahanti lose its focus to Samantha. Is this good for the film?

There is a love story in “Titanic” as well, but that being a tragic incident involving a ship, the love story of Jack and Kate fared superbly. But here when we are showcasing Savitri’s life, the love story of a journalist researching her case may not sound that good except acting as a speed breaker and sideliner.

Directed by Nag Ashwini, Mahanati is set for May 9th, 2018 release.
