All these days not even single detail has come out about the upcoming biggest film that could take Tollywood by a star cast for the presence of two big stars in it. Baahubalian director Rajamouli’s latest bonanza #RRR is what we’re talking about and here goes a confirmation from producer DVV Danayya about it.

In fact, with both Ram Charan and Rama Rao on the board, definitely, Rajamouli has done a terrific thing already. Now DVV Danayya revealed that the film has almost 300 crores budget. “Rajamouli garu already narrated the story to me and other chief technicians. We’re pretty excited. Already art directors are erecting sets in Hyderabad and you’ll be stunned to see them. The film will be made with a budget of 300 crores” he said other day.

None expect Rajamouli to make a 20 crore budgeted film after Baahubali and investing 300 crores on him yet again is not at all a risky fare. But with budget confirmed by the producer himself, one wonders, what is the type of story they are coming with. Is it a science fiction? epic? Historical flick? or fantasy project?

Meanwhile, DVV Danayya is eagerly waiting for his latest venture “Bharat Anu Nenu” to hit cinemas about which he says, “My dream to work with Mahesh Babu came true with this project and Koratala Siva is going to tell  you a terrific story with a message”.

Ever since Telugu Film Industry’s big wig Dasari Narayana Rao breathed his last, Tollywood has been mired in several issues. Controversy after controversy is rocking the Telugu film industry. The latest is Sri Reddy’s alleged casting couch allegations and that translated into verbal war between two groups that divided in industry.

After Sri Reddy’s fresh comments and personal abuse against Pawan Kalyan and his family, the issue has now gained more heat with fans, supporters of Pawan started rallying against Sri Reddy and her abuses.

Many seniors in film industry opine that if Dasari is alive today, the situation wouldn’t be so out-of-control like this today. Initially MAA acted very strongly and subsequently they gave up due to pressure mounting from various corners, but after Sri Reddy’s fresh comments, now MAA is once again gearing up to give counter to Sri Reddy. It is buzzed that the whole issue has not been tackled well by the MAA and other big wigs of industry.

Considering that it is a sensible issue, the industry people should have acted in advance and wise and should have formed committee like CASH in advance. Many film folks opine that after Dasari passed away, no other biggies in industry are leading them wisely due to which there is said to be several confusion and several groups in Telugu film industry. Let’s hope Tollywood would soon overcome this issue very quickly.

Young hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas new film Saakshyam in Sriwass direction has got its teaser out. As promised and clued in posters about nature being the prime witness for all the sins committed by mankind, the teaser emancipated same with magnanimous visual effects.

Dialogue writing by Sai Madhav Burra highlighting the fifth direction of Karma Siddhantha to follow our good and bad deeds is visually depicted in protagonist’s chase for villains. Saakshaym appears to have got star studded casting including Pooja Hegde as heroine. Then Sai is looking stylish while camera work by Arthur A Wilson is absorbing catching the grandeur in foreign locales, thanks to mammoth production values from Abhishek Pictures.

Shakthi Kanth Karthick’s music is a blend of fantasy and devotion. Finally, the 1 minute odd Saakshyam teaser promises a new concept based action thriller with fantasy element intact.

Finally, after days of silence, Telugu Film Industry chose to respond in a big way by breaking the barriers and directly addressing the protestors who are a bit genuine but still slinging mud at the film industry.

While friends and family, including his beloved wife, asked director Koratala Siva to stay silent on the whole issue of #SriReddyLeaks, the director refused to do so, because he felt that unnecessary gossip will sink the heart.

“When some allegations came, you need to check with people, ask friends and other technicians about the character of those accused and then come to conclusion. But how come media and social media talks about them so cruelly?” is what Koratala asked in his clarification speech.

At the same time, both Jeevitha and Nagababu claimed that they have sent their daughters to this industry as actors because they believe in what is happening here.  They have asked everyone to not paint Film Industry in a bad light. The way they pointed out how some forces are trying to malign the reputation of this industry is highly touching. And their take on Telugu actors in Telugu films is also logical.

“You’re in India and Government of India through its constitution provides you with the basic right of going anywhere in the country and working in any field you like. So how come you will ask only Telugu actors be placed in Telugu films? MAA might request producers, but we can’t demand that only Telugu actors be roped in” said Nagababu, pointing out that all the celebs sitting in MAA press meets are Telugu people only.

Both Nagababu and Jeevitha felt that at the time when producers lose money, a crore or so, neither MAA nor any actor will repay them. So it is producer’s call to rope in any actor/actress of his choice.

One should say hats off to these celebs because they are able to call a spade a spade. If more and more do the same, then those masked rationalists who are doing hungama on TV will pack bags.

“Mega family is so powerful that we can bear any accusations or abuses being made by unethical persons. But don’t take our silence as our inefficiency. If you test patience, then you may face sequences” warned Nagababu today, indirectly hitting out words at actress Sri Reddy and critic Mahesh Kathi who are bringing Mega family and Pawan Kalyan into every single discussion.

So what is the reaction of the Mega family on the cuss words said by Sri Reddy? “Can anyone of you from media tolerate that cuss word said to her? Can you do that? But our mega family could that. We could tolerate because we’re powerful people” stressed Nagababu, confirming that he discussed the whole fiasco with his mother as well.

“I asked my mother about her reaction and she just laughed off. Today before coming to my press meet, I took my mother’s permission to speak about this. She told me to not blame that lady back and asked me to ignore her comments. I don’t want any more discussions on this, it’s better if TV channels also end the debate” he said.

“As they can’t face us strongly in the limelight, these people are trying to assassinate the character of Pawan Kalyan. If my brother does a mistake, he will stand in public and agree to it. Can you do the same?” he asked, confirming that he didn’t meet Pawan in last six months and the Janasena president might scold him for this press meet.

Does that mean no one should condemn or question Pawan Kalyan? “You can criticize Pawn Kalyan, but that should be limited to his political agenda and if any mistake he does. How come you invade into his private and personal space to make cheap allegations? Very soon, he will teach you a lesson” Nagababu says, adding that he’s neither Janasena member nor into any political thing.

Also, Nagababu conveyed his gratitude for actresses like Madhavi Latha and others who have come in support of Pawan Kalyan and Mega family when it comes to facing these abusing words.

“To raise your TRPs, you have our programs like Jabardasth, discuss them. But don’t talk about individual lives and insult industry” he concluded.

“If media also gets spoiled, no one could save common man. If media gets motivated politically, they could show an innocent as a villain and a cunning fellow as a saint. Please don’t do that” said Nagababu today, requesting the media folks.

In what could be called as a ‘mega’ retort by Telugu film industry, actor-producer and mega brother Nagababu today followed in the lines of Jeevitha Rajasekhar. He blasted out media and those critics who are blatantly and unreasonably attacking the Mega family and also film industry.

“Many actresses who are star heroines here have not gone through casting couch. They have come respectably here and gained their stardom with talent. For your personal gains, don’t throw mud on Film Industry” said Nagababu today, blasting some debate-holders who are constantly blaming Tollywood. “If you believe films are spoiling you, don’t watch our movies. And if you’re accusing that people are taking only bad, then ask people why are they not taking good” he added.

“Why Pawan Kalyan should come and address everything? Why Chiranjeevi garu, Balayya, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh or NTR should come to talking about this issue? It’s not needed. I’m enough to talk on behalf of the film industry. When there are much bigger issues, those stars will definitely come” said Nagababu, answering to a question why big stars are not talking about casting couch issue and once again asked media to not blame film industry.

On trolling of fans: “Today for my speech and this press meet, fans will troll me too. We cannot stop them. A person with a phone in his hand has his right to express his feelings. How could we handle each of them?”

Also, he stated that film industry is working out on setting up of CASH committee and also discussing wages and minimising the impact of co-ordinators.

Although Bharat Ane Nenu is set against political backdrop, it is learnt that there will be no over-dose of political drama and the film has been laced with all the commercial ingredients in the right amounts.

A close source from the film’s unit revealed that the film has a racy Rayalaseema episode during the second half which is the film’s major strength. The Chief Minister will be forced to travel to Rayalaseema which will be followed by an action episode and a song which are the major highlights of Bharat Ane Nenu. The entire episode has come out very well and Mahesh was extremely impressed with the way Koratala Siva presented him in the role.

Expectations have been riding high on the film and fans of Mahesh are eagerly waiting to see their favourite matinee idol on big screen after a while. As the film is all set to open world-wide on April 20, it needs to be seen what the film has to offer.

Yesterday’s discussions with Digital Service Providers and others have gone very well says Vishal, president of Tamil Producers Council, as they discussed with all parties from morning 11’o clock to evening 9 and then called off for the strike.

For the starters, Digital conversion companies agreed to bring down the VPF from 22,000 to 10,000 (Qube) in Tamilnadu and that made the call off the strike. And today morning, they are going to finalise the new release dates of all movies as films got postponed their dates. Here is an update.

Actually, Rajanikanth’s Kala is one big film that is targeting April 27th and that movie will not be postponed if we have to go by reports. In that case, the film is releasing exactly in between two Telugu biggies, Bharat Anu Nenu and Naa Peru Surya is going to pose trouble when it comes to occupying screens in AP and Telangana. That’s the reason, Tollywood is on alert now.

Some big Telugu distributors say that Telugu producers should actually stop the release of Kaala in Telugu states until our own summer releases clear out. Because for 27th, films like Achari America Yaatra booked their slot as Rajni is out of the race all these days. What about them now?

Kiara Advani has denied rumours surrounding her role in her Telugu debut Bharat Ane Nenu where she pairs up with Mahesh Babu who will be seen as Bharat Ram, a chief minister. Contrary to reports that she would be playing the role of a personal secretary to chief minister, Kiara says that she plays a girl-next-door in the film and how she gets involved in Bharat’s political journey is said to be interesting. Kiara will be seen as a Hyderabad girl in the film and the movie is in fictional backdrop of united Andhra Pradesh with Hyderabad as its capital.

Apparently, talk is that the first half of the film has some good romantic scenes between both Mahesh and Kiara which said to have shaped up very well. Director Koratala said to have taken extensive care to make the on-screen chemistry, bond between the lead pair work. There’s an engaging and cute love story between lead pair in a political drama.  Although it is Kiara’s Tollywood debut, she said to have a prominent role assigned throughout the film. Her role takes the story of Bharat Ane Nenu in a proper way, say sources close to the development.

The film is tipped to be a topical film with an inherent message and deals with issues like education system.
