#CastingCouch.. One TV Channel Getting Applause

Share

More than the debates that are happening on TV channels, the ones that are taking place on social media are getting more attention these days. Because it gives a direct feedback from people and their true feelings, whether good or bad.

One particular user has started a debate as to which media house is not airing these cheap debates on casting couch and other stuff in the name of one actress. Everyone started throwing their comments and explained about different media houses and how they indulged in the TRP hunting. Surprisingly, the name of one top news channel is missing from the debate.

Few intellectuals who noticed this have found that this particular channel didn’t air any one-sided debates neither they started pouring mud on Film Industry in support of some unethical claims. Wonder why?

An input editor of this channel is said to have shared with his Facebook friends that their boss asked them not to sling mud at Tollywood by taking words of few untrustworthy fellows into confidence. The channel owner is said to have told them the guests who are attending channels to take part in debates are the ones who are actually indulging in cheap things.

Taking a cue from this information, many netizens are hailing that channel for its stand.

No Cash in ATMs, FM Says Temporary Shortage

Share

Ahead of Karnataka Assembly elections, there is a severe shortage of cash in ATMs in several parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. While common people are suffering heavily due to run out of cash, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has called it as a “temporary shortage”. He attributed it to the huge demand in the last three months.

What’s more? Jaitley claimed that there is “more than adequate” currency in circulation. Jaitley, who has been away from office since April 2 due to kidney ailment, said he has reviewed the currency situation in the country.

“Overall there is more than adequate currency in circulation and also available with the Banks. The temporary shortage caused by ‘sudden and unusual increase’ (in demand) in some areas is being tackled quickly,” Jaitley said in a tweet.

The government is checking with banks and the Reserve Bank of India to ensure adequate supply of currency. A statement by the finance ministry confirmed reports of cash shortages and some ATMs running dry of cash or becoming non-functional in some parts of the country. “There has been unusual spurt in currency demand in the country in last three months,” it said.

Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla said the government has formed a committee to address the problem of currency shortage in certain states and the issue would be resolved in next 2-3 days.

“The Government has set up state-wise committee and RBI has also formed a committee to transfer currency from one state to other because for money transfer you need the permission of the RBI. It (the shortage) will be solved in 2-3 days,” he said

Saaho Brings 100 Crores Profit Already?

Share

One of the hot cakes film markets are eagerly waiting for to chew is none other than Prabhas’ Saaho. The Baahubali star is shaking Bollywood markets as well with this film related news and that’s the reason a big production house like “T Series” is presenting the film in Hindi arena.

While we have already revealed about the combination, now a big news is coming up about the figures involved in this sweet deal. After all the bargains, it is heard that “Saaho” non-South India rights are acquired by T Series at a whopping price of 300 crores, say some insiders. This includes theatrical rights and digital rights of the film. Now from selling it to satellite to digital providers, from releasing in theatres in India and abroad, T Series will own every bit of it.

Interestingly if this deal is true, then Saaho makers are already in a profit zone. Including the high-end visual effects, for the scenes that will be canned in Abu Dabhi, Dubai and other European countries, for all the huge star cast that is part of the film, the budget is estimated at 200 crores for the first copy. In that case, Hindi rights alone fetched 100 crores profits for UV creations and whatever money they make from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions is additional income.

Owing to the craze of Prabhas whose Baahubali 1 and 2 made such staggering figures at the box office, this business of Saaho is really terrific. Directed by Sujith, the film has Shraddha Kapoor as leading lady and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the main antagonist.

What Wrong Did Pawan Say?

Share

The kind of language that Sri Reddy used against Pawan Kalyan is totally uncalled for. Besides, what wrong thing did Pawan Kalyan say?

All he made was a sensible suggestion that she should approach the cops instead of the media to get justice done. That is a perfectly valid point made by Pawan.

Why then did Sri Reddy need to use that kind of language against Pawan Kalyan? Did Pawan abuse her? No! Did he speak demeaningly of her? No! How then is this outburst from Sri Reddy justified?

Especially, after having earlier addressed Pawan as Anna (brother) and thanking him for his suggestion, on social media?

In a bid to stay in the news regularly, Sri Reddy is just resorting to outrageous acts like stripping at Film Chamber and now this vulgar language against Pawan, unbecoming of a human being.

She raised the issue of Pawan Kalyan being married thrice.  Pawan Kalyan may have married thrice, but each time, he did it legally. In other words, there is no question of exploitation involved at all!

It is difficult to believe that Sri Reddy made this U-turn all on her own. Surely, there has to be someone powerful backing her but whoever it is, it is clearly a person of cheap character.

Pawan Kalyan surely deserves an apology from this woman and the people instigating her.

Star director Puri Jagannadh is hoping to reclaim his position as top director with Mehbooba.

He is launching his son Akash as hero with Mehabooba, which is a high budget film set in 1971 Indo-Pak war backdrop.

Mehbooba has created a strong impact with an impressive trailer and Dil Raju who bought the distribution rights of the film says that it is surely going to be a blockbuster.

According to buzz, Puri Jagan had to sell his house for making this high film.

He has reportedly sold his old house for Rs. 21 crore and is now building another house in a prime location in Hyderabad.

At the beginning nobody was keen on buying the rights of Mehbooba given Puri’s recent track record. But Dil Raju who watched the special screening is mighty impressed with it and bought the distribution rights for entire Telugu states.

Puri not only got back his investment on Mehbooba, but also made handsome profits on it already.

He is hoping that the film turn a box office hit and put him back in the reckoning. Star heroes who were keen to work with Puri have been keeping distance from him because of the pathetic films that he made in recent past.

Can Mehabooba make him hotshot director among superstars again?

All Money Going To Two Channels, What About Us?

Share

These days, many sensational debate programs are being cooked up on some small time channels and later few big TV channels are overtaking them. But in the first place, why are those channels always targeting Tollywood and Telugu films personalities with their acts? Here comes the shocker.

A couple of years ago, some big producers of Telugu industry formed as an LLP and started giving ads to only to few TV channels, print media houses and websites. Basing on the Broadcast Association’s ratings, the Top 5 channels are picked for ads. And rest of the 15+ TV channels in Telugu circuit get only feed and content regarding interviews, trailers and songs, but won’t get any ads. There started the big gamble.

Producers feel that when they are paying almost 20+ lakhs each to Top two Telugu news channels, that is worthy of it. And they opine that paying even 1-2 lakhs for other TV channels will not yield them any visibility or publicity.

Pushing their finger at the spot, these young TV channels are now busy airing casting couch related stuff, theatre issues, ‘aah naluguru’ domination and criticising films badly through their reviews. Now if any producer asks them, these channels say, “Sir, we don’t have visibility and that’s the reason you don’t give ads, so why do you worry about our negative programs now?”. That’s how Tollywood is getting dipped in mud by all means.

But a media analyst whose heart goes to these small channels stated, “See you’re giving almost 1 crore cumulatively each month to those top channels and you ignore small channels. Now those big channels that are living on your money are writing you off by encouraging those elements that defame the industry. Think about it”.

To sum up, ‘Give us ad there will be no negativity spread, else face the trauma’.

First Ever Response On Abhiram SriReddy Pics

Share

It’s unfortunate that none from industry are condemning the acts of Sri Reddy and Co, but this group of people are throwing cheap allegations and defaming us. It’s high time we open our mouths” says Jeevitha, opening up on the alleged leaks done by Sri Reddy regarding ace producer Suresh Babu’s son Abhiram Daggubati.

“We’ve seen Abhiram Daggubati and Sri Reddy’s photos. So what is wrong in those pictures? Are a group of people forcing her to kiss the guy? Is Abhiram pulling her by the hair to kiss him? They look like consensual stuff. And now that she is alleging Abhiram of luring her on the pretext of offers, we should hear Abhiram’s version on this. Without that, how could we conclude that he exploited her?” asked Jeevitha, voicing her opinion uprightly. She underlined that someone could not be called a victim until the other side is also heard.

Jeevitha expressed doubts that maybe Sri Reddy and Abhiram have dated, and dating is a universal thing happening everyone. So why blame him now in that way after dating him for a while? is what she asks. “They are not complaining about this to anyone including Film bodies and police, because they fear that other-side will also have strong argument” she pointed out.

“Why are highlighting only a small ‘minus’ of the industry, but not propagating the ‘positive’ things happening here?” asked Jeevitha, irking the media people out there.

Are These Female Artists Forgetting Ethics??

Share

Blasting Tollywood biggies for not reacting on the Casting Couch allegations and for not giving chances to local Telugu beauties, a group of female character artists have held a meeting other day. But more than their allegations, their stark satires on star heroes didn’t get well with netizens.

It could be noticed that those ladies made a mockery of some star heroes saying that they got almost 20-30 surgeries to look good which otherwise they look like monkeys. Also one of the character artists alleged that barring Prabhas and few others there are no heroes who have good height. Right now, even female fans of Telugu cinema are not liking these comments.

“Seems like these women character artists have forgotten ethics in the frustration that they are not getting offers. That is wrong. These are the same women who complained that Telugu producers are not giving them offers because they are fat and dark complexioned. But are they not doing the same body shaming then?” a lady asked on Twitter, reacting the videos of that meeting that are shared.

Another college student claimed, “If these women artists want to compare, they have to compare themselves with Rakul, Tamanna, Samantha and Kajal, but not with heroes”. Some say that this is an industry where 10 will get break among 1000 who try their luck. “Not all guys who try their luck will become Vijay Devarakonda or a Samantha” another user commented.

While few comments are being made by these female artists in the name of colour, some netizens feel that it is a wrong accusation. “All guys who are dark like Rajnikanth and Vishal won’t become star heroes. All those girls who are super fair like Tamanna and Rakul will not become star heroines. There are many handsome guys and fair looking girls, who faded out with just one film. The film industry is all about luck and time” some say.

No matter how many surgeries some heroes have got done or how much height they are, they are pulling crowds and crores from the box office. That’s what you need to succeed in films end of the day.

Jeevitha Blasts On Media & Cheap Allegations

Share

“If you got cheated once, it’s cheating. If you got cheated twice, okay we will agree. But how come you say you got cheated for all the ten years? Is there truth in that allegation?” says Jeevitha Rajasekhar, as part of blasting those series of canons against Sri Reddy and troupe who are making cheapest allegations on Tollywood from last one month.

“With the kind of accusations these actresses are making, some ‘Pichi Prajalu’ will even believe that whatever they are saying is true. These actresses who are making accusations are sounding as if every cinema actress will sleep with someone for offers. That’s wrong. People should know this. It is completely baseless and unethical allegation against us” says Jeevtiha, adding that the likes of Asifa are innocents who don’t know what crime is being committed against them, but the likes of this Sri Reddy have 30 years age to distinguish between good and bad.

Jeevitha stated that women should file complaints if they have felt that they got exploited rather cheaply talking about other celebs in the industry. After breathing fire on activist Sandhya who went on confirming in a TV channel debate that Jeevitha is supplying hostel girls to husband Rajasekhar, she claimed that media should follow ethics rather crying loud for sensationalism.

“Those who have calibre and who got popularity will be given chances in Film Industry. If you have talent and if you prove it, you will get chances. But just because you’re a Telugu girl and you came from a village, you will not get chances. Why would a producer invest on you if you’re not a saleable product? Tomorrow if he gets losses, who would bear it?” she says,

“The likes of Neerav Modi and Vijay Mallya defaulted loans, but there are many who are paying loans. Now, will you say whole banking and banks are wrong? Are those two are wrong? You have the answer. So don’t blame Film Industry” she stressed. “I’m sending my two daughters into this industry and I’m very fond and confident of this place” she added.

Also, Jeevitha felt that it’s very sad that Film Industry is not coming out to speak about it when the likes of Sri Reddy are throwing mud on everyone.
