Will Nani Learn The Lesson From KAY?
After scoring a string of hits by playing middle-class boy’s roles for the last few years, Nani seems to be yearning for mass image of late. Nani tried out a mass role to in a small way with Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) last year. But this time, he took his craving to the next level with Krishnarjuna Yuddham.
Krishnarjuna Yuddham’s entire second half seems to be Nani’s showreel to gain mass image. The second half runs on an action mode throughout and it disappointed the Natural Star’s loyal fans. Due to a low pre-release buzz, Krishnarjuna Yuddham’s openings were quite average and shockingly 60 percent less than MCA.
With the average to poor word of mouth, Krishnarjuna Yuddham has already lost the steam at the box office. Irrespective of the talk, some of Nani’s movies went on to collect huge at the US box office in the past. But same is not the case with Krishnarjuna Yuddham. US buyers have spent a bomb on the movie, considering Nani’s hat-trick USD 1M plus movies in 2017.
With Nani’s unsuccessful attempt to enter the mass zone, he is unknowingly making his weaknesses in terms of his box office potential public. It remains to be seen if Nani will learn from this experience and be more cautious in choosing scripts for his future movies.
She’s Ready For NTR But Conditions Apply
The makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘NTR’, an epic biopic on legendary actor and Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao, are planning to release the movie for Sankranthi next year. Apart from reprising his father, Balakrishna is also co-producing the movie.
Balakrishna is hell-bent on making NTR with high technical standards. Since the film will also be released in Hindi, Balayya and the entire team are keen on casting national award winning Bollywood actress Vidya Balan to play NT Rama Rao’s wife Basavatarakam in the biopic.
Even though Vidya Balan has agreed to act in the movie in principle, she is yet to sign the agreement or take the advance remuneration. She is said to have imposed certain conditions to NTR’s team. Apparently, Vidya’s managers have expressed their concerns with her, saying that since the movie is based on NTR his wife’s role maybe limited.
Vidya is said to be insisting NTR’s makers on writing it in the agreement that all her scenes will be retained in the film’s theatrical version and that her role must not be chopped off and make it look like a guest character. NTR will mark Vidya’s debut in Tollywood and she is in no mood to take it lightly. After all, she’s known for her female-oriented movies.
#RepeteMode: Sharwa With Sai Pallavi
Young filmmaker Venu Udugula had impressive everyone with his debut film, an intense social drama titled ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ that released in March. Ever since the film’s release, Venu has been approached by several producers.
We were the first to report that Venu Udugula will work with talented actress Sai Pallavi in his second film. Chukkapalli Prasad and Cherukuri Sudhakar, who are currently producing the Sharwanand-Sai Pallavi’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu, will produce this movie too.
Interestingly, even the Venu Udugula-Sai Pallavi movie will have Sharwanand playing the male lead. Even though Tamil star Karthi was considered for the role for a brief time, the makers have finally zeroed in on Sharwa. This film is said to be based on a real incident that happened in the 90s.
Pawan Fans Shifted To Ram Charan?
Pawan Kalyan rarely displays his emotions in public. While Pawan gives emotionally charged speeches in his political meetings, his speeches at film events are mostly short, timid and vague.
But all that has changed now. Pawan’s 25 minute long speech at Rangasthalam’s success function last night pleasantly surprised not only his hardcore fans but the entire film industry. Not only did he speak at length about how much he liked Rangasthalam, but he also showed how deeply he loves Charan.
In fact, Charan thought that his Babai will only speak a few lines after he watched the movie recently. But surprising everyone, Pawan told the media that he will talk more at the film’s success meet. And Power Star did not disappoint anyone.
Pawan was all praise for Ram Charan’s wholesome performance in Rangasthalam and his humble behaviour off-screen. He even kissed Charan on his forehead and went on to call him his brother. Needless to say, the Pawan-Charan affection thrilled the fans of both the stars.
Pawan’s fans openly support even an outside hero like Nithiin because he is an ardent fan of Pawan. Now that Pawan’s fans have witnessed the Babai-Abbay bonding, they will naturally be extending their full support to Ram Charan from now on. Charan may even emerge as Pawan’s true heir as the Power Star has quit acting to pursue politics. All in all, we can surely come to the conclusion that a grand merger of Pawan fans and Mega fanshas begun.

SriReddyLeaks: Headache For Bharat Anu Nenu Team
One may wonder what is the connection between these two, but #SriReddyLeaks controversy is hitting every big celebrity hard in the film industry. Today media caught Pawan Kalyan in the net and made him respond. And here is another turn that might take place.
During a live debate on TV9, an artist named Sunitha stated that when she went to “Bharat Anu Nenu” shooting, an associate director named Seshu misbehaved with her. She alleged that even though Seshu scolded her badly and Mahesh Babu sitting very near to them, the star didn’t even react to it. Also, Sri Reddy accused on the Facebook page about director Koratala Siva and shared some WhatsApp screenshots with his name visible. And that’s where a headache starts.
Now that Mahesh Babu and Koratala will get ready to promote “Bharat Anu Nenu”, we hear that some media folks are sharpening their tools to corner the star with a shower of questions related to the casting couch. Only a few interviews might help Mahesh and Co dodge the issue while open press meets will give chance to all to ask this question. So how is Bharat Anu Nenu team going to answer them or tackle them?
They say that only some limited promotions with interviews to few channels might help the team evade the questions, but still, there is a moral responsibility to respond on the issue.
Babu Gogineni Blasts Power Star, Superstar, Legend And Rakul
All the Telugu people are right now swinging in anger with top celebrities staying silent on #CastingCouch issue that is shaking Telugu Film Industry. And then, many women (artists) are taking to TV channels to speak up on the atrocities being met by them in the film industry. Talking about this, rationalist Babu Gogineni breathed fire on Telugu celebs.
“All these cinema biggies are speaking quite carefully as if the magnitude of the casting couch is very low. Today Pawan Kalyan has responded to the issue, but where is he all these days? I agree with him that issues will be solved in Police Station and Courts, but still, these biggie celebs should respond to the issues” said rationalist and human rights activist Babu Gogineni.
“Where is Powerstar when this many women are suffering? Where are the so-called superstars who are raising their collars high? Where are those who fight for the title “Legend” but don’t speak now?” he asked, generalising that Tollywood should behave themselves. However, he found that not those people who intimidated women, but also those who supported the culprits should be treated as same.
“They (Rakul and Lakshmi Manchu) have created a huge hullabaloo when TV5 anchor used a cuss word against them. Immediately they held a meeting to opine that there is nothing like a casting couch going on in Film Industry, at a time when many young women are complaining openly about the issue. These people who defended that there is no casting couch should also be tried as offenders” he added, concluding “This is not Pedarayudu cinema for Tollywood to pass judgements as they like. High time they open their eyes”.
Gogineni demanded why CASH (Committee Against Sexual Harassment) is not constituted three years ago when complaints are heard from various women in the film industry but why MAA is trying to wash off the issue this way now?
