Nani : Confidence Or Over Confidence?
Move over from Rangasthalam. The Ram Charan and Sukumar combo has already become a rage and is on the way to become Industry hit by rewriting the old BO records. Nani’s Krishnarjuna Yuddham is all set for release this Thursday. Naturally, all eyes are on KAY as Nani is scoring back-to-back hits irrespective of the reviews, talk for his films. Even his last film MCA, which got mixed reviews initially, has fared well at the ticket windows.
But what is more surprising is that Nani hasn’t begun the film’s promotions yet. For a Nani film, Nani himself is the face of the film and he has to come out to promote his films to draw more openings.
So far, there is no interview of Nani to mainstream media. Usually, Nani promotes his films well and in much advance. Even for his own production Awe, Nani has promoted well. But surprisingly for KAY, he is yet to begin the promotions.
With this, speculations are rife that Nani would be either confident or over-confident about the Krishnarjuna Yuddham. Let’s wait and see.
Ram Charan’s Rare Feat
Rangasthalam has collected over 60 crores share in the Telugu speaking states alone. With this, Charan has pulled off a rare feat. Apart from Prabhas, Charan is the only Tollywood star to cross the 60 Cr share mark in AP and Telangana twice including Magadheera.
Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2 and Khaidi No. 150 are the only three movies that surpassed the 60 Cr milestone so far. With Rangasthalam joining the club now, Ram Charan has once again proved his box office stamina in the Telugu States.
Rangasthalam registered houseful collections even on its 8th day and is eyeing a solid second weekend. With Chal Mohan Ranga not being able to create any impact, Ram Charan’s domination is quite evident in the single screens as well as multiplexes.
On the other hand, Rangasthalam is going steady even in the US. So far, the film has grossed over USD 3 million at the US box office, becoming the third Telugu film to enter the USD 3M club after the Baahubali movies.
By the end of its second weekend, Rangasthalam is projected to collect around 90 to 95 Cr worldwide share and the magical 100 Cr share milestone will be breached by the end of second week. The film will surely cross Khaidi No.150’s collections in its full run. Needless to say, Charan has set a mammoth target for the upcoming summer biggies.
