A newspaper has carried a story saying popular actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna will be giving up the Hindupur seat in all probability.As per the story, Balakrishna is no longer keen on contesting from the Hindupur constituency. Instead, his son-in-law Nara Lokesh could be trying his luck there.

Meanwhile, there is talk that Chandra Babu had requested Balakrishna to look after the party affairs in Telangana TDP, but the superstar is said to be miffed with the offer.

So, the story further states that Balayya has instead decided to stick to films for now.But the big question posed by the newspaper is, will he really stay away from politics?

Back then collections of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Attarintiki Daredi have set a new record in overseas. He used to be the only hero from Mega family, who has humongous craze back then in the USA. But everything has changed now and here is how it happened.

Megastar Chiranjeevi opened new doors for mass movies overseas with his comeback project Khaidi No 150. The film successfully got placed in the Top 5 table by grossing almost 2.4 million dollars. Later Varun Tej’s Fidaa managed to collect 2 million dollars. Unfortunately, Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi failed to impress the audience, but the film collected 2 million dollars, which is a bit less than Fidaa. Now, Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam which released last week entered into the 2 million club within just three days of the release and all set to grab the top 3 position in the USA beating Srimanthudu’s 2.8 million collections.

If we go by the figures, all the Top 10 grossers in the USA are likely 2 Million Club members and four mega heroes stood in the list. Mega heroes together successfully managed to hold strong positions and Allu Arjun should really find his space in this list with Naa Peru Surya. It will be a unique feat then for the mega family. Isn’t it?

With top two slots belonging to Baahubali 2 and 1 in Overseas market, the next are followed by Srimanthudu ($ 2.8+ million gross), A..Aa ($ 2.45+ m), Khaidi No.150 ($ 2.4+), Fidaa (2.06+), Agnyaathavaasi (2.06), Nannaku Prematho (2.02) and Rangasthalam ( $ 2 Mn and counting).

Indian movies have been setting a new trend in China. People are getting so emotionally attached to the film and laughing and crying with it like in India. We all know that Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan has created a sensation at the Indian box office and also hit the screens there. Following the tradition, this film managed to recreate the magic in China.

As per the reports, the film has collected USD 0.33 million on Day 31 in China and it leads to a total of USD 45.42 million, which means Rs. 295.38 cr in total already. This film still remained strong even after the weeks of its release and interestingly, it managed to get the highest openings, than any other Indian films. Even though Bajrangi Bhaijaan dropped to the tenth place from the fourth position, it is getting better day by day and also placed in the list of highest grosser at China box office.

After collection almost 320 crores nett from Indian box office, this film created a sensation in 2015 and now it is going to repeat the similar feat in China as well. And the success of this film explains how people love to watch emotions and feel a tinge of it all the time.

Directed by Kabir Khan and written by Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad, Bajrangi Bhaijan deals with the story of a mute girl kid from Pakistan who will be safely sent back by a brave Indian man through illegal route.

On an exaggerated note, we have to say, this is the almost 13th film for top starlet Samantha Akkineni which entered the One-Million club. And director Sukumar says, Samantha broke a rule with “Rangasthalam” and revealed that Chiranjeevi’s words helped him achieve this feat.

“When we picked Samantha for Rangasthalam, many scared us saying that she’s getting married and the audience might reject her. But when I posed the same question to Megastar Chiru, he said, ‘she is a good actress and audience will look at her character only but won’t worry about marriage and all’. Today everyone is praising Sam for her Rama Lakshmi acts. Also, she proved to the film industry that married heroines are no less by breaking the rule. So everyone now cast her” said Sukumar at Rangasthalam thank you meet.

Also one should appreciate the fact that Samantha has stayed so true to the role and she went on pouring glamour when needed and also did a lip kiss. Had she said, ‘I’m married, I won’t do this and that’, then Rama Lakshmi role would not have turned this way.

Definitely, this is high time Tollywood stops worrying about the marital status of heroines and continues to cast them based on the fact that they suit a role or not.

Like in any business, the actors in the film industry also face a lot of ups and downs. When compared to actors like Jr NTR and Prabhas, Ram Charan’s previous films apart from Dhruva, have had a lacklustre performance at the box office. While many have questioned his choice of films and few have criticised him for his looks and dialogue diction as well.

Giving a shock to everyone, Ram Charan completely grabbed the attention as Chitti Babu in his recent outing Rangasthalam. During the Thank You meet, the actor also made some shocking revelations about his choice of films.

As a hearing impaired guy, the actor stuns everyone with his terrific performance. Ram Charan made it clear that unless and until he likes a story wholeheartedly, he couldn’t give a nod to it. This is definitely an obvious question for a star hero, whether he accepts a project basing on fan’s interest or his own. Finally, he spoke his heart out and clarified that he always accept the scripts on his own interest. Charan also stated that one should love their films first, before screening them for others, if not, that won’t give him a work satisfaction.

“I won’t select a film keeping fans in my mind. I will select a film based on whether I liked it or not. And then If I do good, everyone will accept it. While sitting in A/c room and listening to a narration, I’ve to like it first. Then only, a film will happen” he reiterated.

On the occasion, the actor also showed his love towards the producers and distributors, who will be the first victim if a film fails to impress the audience. He stated that they are the ones who pour all their profits back into the film industry. Looks like after holding the responsibilities as a producer, Ram Charan has developed a lot as a person as well as an actor.

The latest box office hurricane, “Rangasthalam” has won accolades for not just Ram Charan and director Sukumar but the entire team. The film wouldn’t have been received so well if not for the meticulous work of music director Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Rathnavelu and Art director Ramakrishna.

Devi and Rathnavelu are already big names in their respective fields, but its Ramakrishna who hit jackpot with Rangasthalam. His brilliant work first got noticed in “Andala Rakshasi”. Later, he worked for good number of films, but it is Rangasthalam which really introduced the meticulous production designer in him. His work in the Charan starrer looked so authentic that audience wouldn’t believe that most of the film was shot in a set. He perfectly recreated a Godavari village.

Impressed with his work, the talented technician has now been offered three new projects – NTR biopic, Varun Tej’s Space film and the debut film of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law, Kalyaan. The first two are challenging projects, and after witnessing Ramakrishna’s work in ‘Rangasthalam’, he can be termed the perfect craftsman for the job. Interestingly, of the three new films, two belong to Mega family only.

Ramakrishna’s immediate release is, Naga Chaitanya’s “Savyasachi”. It is another concept-based film that can bring out the best in him.

Director Sukumar seems to have carried away with his latest outing Rangasthalam which is turning out to be huge blockbuster in Charan’s career. As the film is marching towards Industry Hit, Sukumar has made some remarks at the film’s ‘Thank You’ meet which may not  go down well with the other top directors who have earlier worked with Charan.

“So far (read as before Rangasthalam), Charan hadn’t done a film based on good characterization. He might had done Orange, but even that has subtle characterization. Hence, I had specially worked on Charan’s characterization (for Rangasthalam). If he get films with good characterization, Charan will do wonders (his films do wonders at Box Office),” said Sukumar.

As Sukumar was speaking, Charan was looking into Sukumar’s eyes blushing.

No doubt, Rangasthalam runs high on characterizations coupled with outstanding performances, but Sukumar’s over-the-top statement may not go down well with the fans of Magadheera and the directors of Charan’s other films like Vinayak (Naayak), Krishna Vamsi (Govindudu Andarivadele), Vamshi Paidipalli (Yevadu), Chirutha (Puri Jagannadh), Bruce Lee (Sreenu Vaitla).
