Undavalli Responds on Pawan

Share

Undavalli Arun Kumar has responded Pawan Kalyan’s announcement of constituting a Joint Action Commitee to fight for the rights of Andhra Pradesh. Responding to Pawan’s statement, Undavalli welcomed Pawan’s move.

“What I liked in Pawan’s statement is that he wants to include all and fight. This is certainly welcome one. I’m with him,” said Undavalli.

Undavalli, however, said that he doesn’t know what exactly Pawan is fighting for in the JAC and what his (Undavalli) role will be in the JAC.

Undavalli suggested Pawan to “take ambitious” people instead of him. He said anyways he will be with him. Undavalli said that Pawan Kalyan has telephoned him and asked him to meet him in Rajahmundry.

“Pawan Kalyan called me and wanted me to meet personally to discuss about JAC. I told him that I’ve seen the TV and am okay with it. I told him that I myself going to Hyderabad on 10th or 11th this month and told him to meet him in Hyderabad on Feb 11th to which Pawan agreed,” said Undavalli. He heaped praises on Pawan about his political journey.

“I personally feel that Pawan Kalyan genuinely has intention to do something for people. That’s why he took a severe challenge of joining politics. It is not at all easy. For a star like Rajinikanth, it took a very longtime to take up the challenge of joining politics,” said Undavalli praising Pawan.

Meanwhile, Undavalli lashed out at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not “implementing” an act. “First time in India, an act was not even implemented even four years after it was made,” said Undavalli referring to AP Reorganization Act.

Baahubali Collection is More Than BJP’s Funds To AP

Share

TDP MP and industrialist Galla Jayadev has come down heavily on the BJP which has been doing gross injustice to Andhra Pradesh. In his stentorian, constructive, elaborate speech in Lok Sabha, Galla Jayadev talked about how PM Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley have “deceived”, “betrayed” the people of AP.

Galla Jayadev directly attacked BJP and its plans to ally with YSRCP and “cheating” people of AP, its ally TDP.

Talking about the funds Centre has issued to AP so far, Jayadev stated that the collections of Baahubali is far more than what the Centre issued to the AP.

Jayadev thoroughly lashed out at the BJP for continuously cheating the people of AP. He even recalled how Congress being strongest in AP became zero after playing with the people of AP. Jayadev exposed YSRCP’s ‘devious’ plans of allying with BJP and ‘praising’ Budget.

‘Save AP, Save Democracy’

The protests from Andhra Pradesh TDP MPs in the Lok Sabha continues on the fourth day, today, as well. Raising ‘Save Andhra Pradesh, Save Democracy’ slogans, MPs continue to protest as the Q & A session is in progress.

As soon as the Lok Sabha session started this morning, AP TDP MPs surrounded the Speaker’s podium and started raising slogans. They demanded for the fulfillment of all the promises made to AP during the state bifurcation. The MPs continue to raise slogans after they were sent to sit in their allotted positions.

As the MPs continue doing unrelenting protests, both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were adjourned by the respective Speakers.

‘Jagan Ane Nenu’ Rumour On Mahesh’s Film

Share

There has always been an unspoken bond between movies and politics. Though the count is comparatively less, we have witnessed that most of the movies that came out with political backdrop became super hits. Even some of our Tollywood star heroes maintain a good relationship with some politicians and superstar Mahesh Babu is no exception.

It is a known fact that the only person Mahesh follows on Twitter is his brother-in-law and Telugudesam Guntur MP Jaydev Galla. He is the husband of Mahesh’s sister Padmavathi Ghattamaneni, the daughter of Krishna with his first wife Indira Devi. At the same time, hero Krishna who happens to be a Congress member earlier got inclined towards YSR’s leadership and their family enjoys good rapport with YS Jagan’s family now.

Owing to the good terms between Jagan and Ghattamaneni family, rumours are coming out that Mahesh Babu’s upcoming political thriller ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ will have some scenes that support Jagan and YSRCP. This news surprised the fans of Jagan and they started creating hype on their Facebook Pages for ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ by calling it as ‘Jagan Ane Nenu’.

However, director Koratala Siva has already stated that the movie is entirely a fictional political drama with a story set up in united AP times. Probably the film will not be biased towards any political party and is just a fictional story. The irony is that, no matter what you say, some political outfits are trying to own this movie.

Good Shout! Chandrababu Praises TDP MPs

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief, Chandrababu Naidu has praised his party MPs for showing the fighting spirit in the Parliament for the state’s interests.

Babu convened a Teleconference with party leaders this morning, and during his address, he reportedly heaped praises on MPs for fighting for the rights of AP in the Parliament. He told the MPs not to fear anyone and take the voice of AP people to the National level. He especially praised Guntur MP Jaydev Galla for highlighting the distress of AP in a meaning manner in his speech in the Parliament.

On the occasion, Babu allegedly said that YSRCP, which should have responsibly fought in the Parliament in the capacity of main opposition party in AP, is silent because of the fear of cases on them.

This Actress Became Second Option for Sr Heroes?

Share

The latest talk in film circles is that talented and beautiful actress Shriya Saran has become a ‘Reserve option’ for Senior heroes i.e. when they don’t get the heroines they desire, they rope in Shriya ultimately.

Its been 18 years since Shriya made her acting debut and she is still as busy as she used to be in her hey days. During her prime, she acted with all the star heroes of Telugu cinema, both senior and young. After a brief unproductive period, Shriya is back in the game as the backup option for senior heroes.

In the past few years, sort of her Second Innings, Shriya acted with Nagarjuna (Manam), Venkatesh (Gopala Gopala) and Balakrishna (GPSK and Paisa Vasool). She wasn’t the first option in none of these movies. When the makers fail to rope in the actresses opposite senior heroes, they knock the door of Shriya who readily signs as she has no qualms in playing even middle-aged wife, mother of young kids type of roles.

The latest we hear is that after several actresses turned down the role of leading lady in Venkatesh’s film to be directed by Teja, Shriya has been approached. We have recently reported that the heroine in this needs to play the role of mother of two kids, the primary reason for rejection by several actresses. Shriya doesn’t have such reservations so she may hop on board.

We will however have to wait for an official confirmation.

Debutant Director Highly Upset With Reviews

Share

These are the days where many filmmakers are blaming film-reviewers for the flop show of their films rather focusing on coming up with better content to entertain audiences. Even newcomer director Vikram Sirikonda who is in Telugu industry from last 14 years working in various capacities, has blamed reviews given for Touch Chesi Choodu movie.

Needless to say, Raviteja’s Touch Chesi Choodu got bad reviews on First Day itself and the film is also likely to meet a disastrous fate at the box office though the makers say B & C crowds are simply rushing to theatres. And with some reviews mentioning that “Touching this movie is not good for audiences”, director Vikram Sirikonda is deeply upset.

“They can write about the film, but can’t advise audiences either to watch the film or not to watch. I’m happy if they dissect the movie and talk about it. But who are they to tell audiences that they shouldn’t watch the film and keep away from theatres?” asks Vikram, breathing fire on critics.

At the same time, some distributors involved in Touch Chesi Choodu release also claimed that reviews are killing a film’s income and also lives of people involved in the trade. They asked critics to understand the efforts that go into making a movie and the huge money involved.

Well, that’s a never-ending debate, but why don’t filmmakers cook new stories and impressive scenes when such huge money is involved in making a movie?

Baahubali Is A Hit In Japan! How?

Share

The tremendous hit of Baahubali has changed the entire situation in India tinsel towns. All the film industries including Bollywood are looking at Tollywood now. The movie became a phenomenal hit and broke the records into two types: Baahubali records and Non-Baahubali records.

Especially Baahubali: The Conclusion did exceptionally well at the box office in North America as well. But the collections of this magnum opus in other languages came out as a shocker for the fans. Baahubali has released in Japan five weeks ago. The movie is all set to enter the sixth week of release and the overall amount the film has made till now is just half million US Dollars.

Despite the mediocre collections the makers are still claiming that the movie is a bumper hit which is shocking the fans even more. Though the amount is not scarce, for an industry hit movie like Baahubali, the collections are not as per the mark. The netizens are bringing up ‘Muthu’ movie which grossed 1.5 million dollars almost two decades back and questioning how Baahubali would be a hit when it hasn’t even touched the 1 million mark.

Baahubali was one of the most-hyped movies in industry and even got released in China as well. Unfortunately, the movie stood as a disaster at Chinese box office. Well, the filmmakers have finally understood one thing for sure with the entire Baahubali episode. Just because a movie becomes a blockbuster in one language doesn’t mean that it will have the same fate in other languages as well.

Character Artist’s Friendly Flirting With Anchor

Share

Thanks to the popular comedy show Jabardasth, Rashmi Gautam became a household name in Telugu states and the hottest anchor in the TV industry. She started her career as a supporting artist, turned into an anchor and finally became a heroine as well with Guntur Talkies.

The only question that always runs in the minds of fans is ‘Is Rashmi dating someone?’. Well, this beauty always faces the same question wherever she goes but she just dodges it every time claiming that she doesn’t have any time for that. But when a fan asked her the same question recently on Twitter, Rashmi gave an interesting reply. The fan asked “Do you have a boyfriend?” to which she replied “Yes. I do”. If this is the end of the story it would have been different. But a character artist also got involved in this matter.

Brahmaji who acted with Rashmi in Aadi’s Next Nuvve movie is a good friend of her. He commented “Pl cheppaddu.. Don’t reveal my name” which ignited some sort of discussions, though it is a comment made on a funny note. What followed is Rashmi’s reply: “You are my 1st and last love sir”, she tweeted, adding more fuel, to which Brahmaji replied back with love symbols.

It is clear that Brahmaji made such comments only with the intention of generating comedy. Even though they are just having a funny conversation, the entire episode has created so many speculations about the friendly flirting.

New Twist In KTR’s Challenge To Uttam

Share

Telangana Industries and IT minister KT Rama Rao has rejected TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy’s challenge to quit the entire KCR family members from politics if the TRS lost 2019 elections.

KTR made it clear he threw challenge to Uttam as an individual and not as family member of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Uttam should also come forward and accept his challenge as an individual. He is abide by his challenge and the Congress leader should also quit politics if the Congress is defeated.

‘He threw challenge to Uttam because both of them are equal as the Congress leader served as minister for three years and he also completed three year term,’  KTR said that it was unfair to drag the family members into the issue. If Uttam had guts, let him come forward,’  he added.

Two Promising Films from Babu in Summer

Share

Two of the best small-budget yet content-driven and technically strong Telugu films that released in 2016 are Pelli Choopulu and Kshanam. The directors of both these films did not have a release in 2017 as they took their sweet time to follow up their breakthrough debut with better or at least equally good films.

Interestingly, the directors of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ and ‘Kshanam’ – Tharun Bhascker and Ravikanth Perepu respectively are likely to have their respective second release in Summer 2018. Senior producer-distributor Suresh Babu, who is very choosy about his production ventures, is producing both the films. He plans to release them in April/May.

Even though summer season is crowded with biggies and medium-budget films, Suresh Babu is someone who can ensure a reasonably good release. The result depends on what the promising directors have cooked in their respective second attempt.

Ravikanth’s untitled film stars Siddhu of ‘Guntur Talkies’ fame and Seerat Kapoor in lead roles. Tharun’s second film has Anisha Ambrose and ‘Vellipomake’ fame Vishwak Sen in lead roles. The tentative title is, ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi’.
