Chandrababu Naidu Warns TDP MLAs Against Misconduct

Share

TDP Supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has issued a firm warning to his party MLAs, cautioning that those acting against the interests of the party and the government risk expulsion. “A few of you may remain as one-time MLAs,” he stated emphatically during a recent teleconference with ministers, MPs, and MLAs, held to mark the completion of one year of the TDP-led NDA government in the state.

Naidu made it clear that he is closely monitoring the performance reports of all party leaders and assured that non-performers will not be spared. “The future of the party and the people cannot be compromised for the sake of a few leaders,” he asserted.

The TDP chief also announced plans to personally meet each MLA to discuss their strengths and weaknesses in detail. Dedicated and hardworking leaders will be rewarded with better opportunities and recognition, he promised.

He advised first-time MLAs to shed overconfidence and reckless behavior. “The public voted unanimously for the TDP, weary of the previous government’s misrule. It’s essential to live among the people and build closer ties with them,” Naidu urged.

Highlighting the importance of public outreach, Naidu revealed that regular surveys are conducted to assess the connection between party leaders and the electorate. He cautioned everyone to avoid controversies and accusations, warning that the entire government could face backlash due to the missteps of a few MLAs.

In his concluding remarks, Naidu stressed the need for unity and responsibility, urging all elected representatives to ensure that such damaging situations do not arise and hamper the party’s image and governance.

TFCC Slams Hari Hara Veera Mallu Delay Amid Theatre Strike

Share

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the long-delayed big-budget action film starring Pawan Kalyan, has once again been postponed, and this time the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) has expressed its disappointment over the matter. The repeated delays have not only upset fans but also left a noticeable impact on the state’s film exhibition sector.

TFCC Secretary Sridhar recently made some strong allegations, claiming that two unnamed producers and two directors are secretly influencing the ongoing theatre strike in Telangana. While he didn’t disclose their identities, Sridhar alleged that these individuals are actively trying to halt the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, causing major disruption in the state’s theatrical business.

According to Sridhar, many theatres had reserved screens for the anticipated release of the Pawan Kalyan starrer. But with the film’s unexpected delay, these screens remained vacant, resulting in significant financial losses for exhibitors. He also pointed out that only a handful of Telugu films in 2025, like Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Court, and Mad Square, have performed well, further compounding the crisis.

Sridhar also voiced concerns about the soaring remunerations demanded by certain actors. He cited examples where actors whose films gross less than ₹2 crore are reportedly charging as high as ₹13 crore, a trend he says is unsustainable, especially for single-screen theatres that are already struggling.

At the heart of the strike lies a conflict between producers and exhibitors regarding the revenue-sharing model. While some prefer fixed rentals, others insist on sharing ticket revenues. A committee has been formed to mediate the issue, but the ongoing delays in major releases like Hari Hara Veera Mallu have made the situation more tense.

As the industry awaits resolution, there is growing pressure for transparency, collaboration, and timely releases to help the ailing theatre ecosystem recover.

Why Rajinikanth Missed Out on Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa

Share

Kannappa is steadily gaining traction in the Telugu film industry, especially after its grand pre-release event held yesterday. With Manchu Vishnu actively promoting the film, the anticipation around this ambitious project is reaching new heights. However, one question continues to spark curiosity — why is Superstar Rajinikanth not a part of this dream Manchu project?

Given the decades-long friendship between Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu, and Vishnu’s own affectionate reference to the superstar as “uncle,” many expected Rajinikanth to feature in some capacity in Kannappa. After all, the film is positioned as a prestige project for the Manchu family, boasting a stellar cast and grand scale.

Addressing the media’s curiosity, Vishnu Manchu revealed that the team indeed conceived a special role for Rajinikanth, one that was intended to share screen space with Mohan Babu. However, after careful consideration, the writers felt that this subplot was veering off from the film’s core theme and would disrupt the narrative flow. As a result, the decision was made to remove the character altogether, despite the initial excitement.

Still, Kannappa features an ensemble cast including Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Mukesh Rishi, Sharath Kumar, Siva Balaji, Brahmanandam, Sapthagiri, Kaushal Manda, Madhoo, and others. Adding to the buzz, Prabhas will be seen in a crucial role, further raising expectations.

With high production values and a mythological premise, Kannappa is slated for a theatrical release on June 27th, and is being closely watched as one of the biggest releases of the year.

Trisha’s Comeback Hopes Ride on Telugu Cinema

Share

Trisha Krishnan, one of the undisputed glamour queens of South Indian cinema, rose to stardom with a streak of successful films in both Telugu and Tamil industries. While she once ruled the roost, like many actors, her career graph eventually saw a dip. However, her critically acclaimed performance in 96 marked a strong comeback and reignited her popularity.

That said, sustaining the momentum has been a challenge. Despite 96 giving her a second lease on stardom, recent films like Vidaamuyarchi, Good Bad Ugly, and Thug Life have not done justice to her talent, drawing criticism from audiences and fans on social media.

Trisha’s decision to walk out of Acharya once raised eyebrows, but she later ventured into the digital space with the Telugu web series Brinda, which surprisingly clicked well with viewers. Following that, she signed Vishwambhara opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi — a high-profile socio-fantasy project that is currently facing multiple delays. While details of Trisha’s role remain under wraps, her fans are optimistic that this film could mark her grand return to form in Telugu cinema.

Many industry insiders believe that if Trisha is serious about reclaiming her top spot, she must actively pursue more Telugu projects. With senior stars like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, and Nagarjuna still headlining big-budget films, there’s significant scope for her to secure strong, performance-oriented roles.

Since her second innings began in 2018 with 96, Trisha has mostly stuck to Tamil cinema, with films like Petta, Paramapadham Vilayattu, Raangi, The Road, Goat, Identity, and the Ponniyin Selvan franchise. While Ponniyin Selvan offered her a brief resurgence in popularity, poor script choices in her other ventures didn’t help maintain that high. Her collaboration with legends like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, and Ajith added prestige but failed to deliver long-lasting success.

In this phase of her career, a strategic shift toward Telugu cinema — supported by impactful roles — could potentially reignite Trisha’s stardom. Two solid hits in Tollywood might be all it takes to bring her back to the forefront of South Indian cinema.
