The ongoing spat between Pawan Kalyan’s supporters and Kathi Mahesh doesn’t seem to stop as a new celebrity is getting involved in the controversy each passing day. Comedian Venu Madhav has now jumped into the verbal spat, in support of Pawan.

Venu called the media house on phone while Kathi Mahesh was in the news channel’s studio, in a live discussion, and asked him to mend his ways. Alleging that his mental condition is not normal, Venu Madhav satirically told Kathi to consult a good doctor, and he also offered to bear the medical expenses.

He also asked Kathi to prove all the 6 questions he had raised yesterday on the relation between Pawan Kalyan and actress Poonam Kaur. He allegedly warned that Movie Artists Association (MAA) will take an action against Mahesh for his alleged comments against Poonam Kaur.

During the discussion on phone, Venu Madhav appealed Pawan fans not to react to the inciting comments being made by Kathi.

Responding to Venu’s comments, Kathi Mahesh called him the Bhajana Batch of Pawan Kalyan. He also warned him to be careful.

After a gap of nearly two years, it was Dil Raju’s masterful planning that helped Ravi Teja sail through at box office and make a decent comeback even with an average film, ‘Raja The Great’. It is heard the Mass Maharaja is taking the help of the ace filmmaker for his next release too.

Makers of Ravi Teja’s “Touch Chesi Chudu” had earlier thought of releasing the film for Sankranthi 2018, but they ultimately decided to push the release to February. Buzz in film circles is that it was Dil Raju who advised Ravi Teja to opt out of the highly competitive Sankranthi season.

Earlier, Dil Raju applied the same strategy for “Raja The Great”. He pushed the release from competitive Dasara season to Diwali and reaped the benefits. Having seen how effectively Dil Raju can release films even in un-season, Ravi Teja has now reportedly handed over the responsibility of giving a smooth and safe release for Touch Chesi Chudu to Dil Raju in the wake of the February month also getting fully crowded.

As per reports, Dil Raju has already started booking theatres for Touch Chesi Chudu and all the buyers of the film are in touch with him, since he would be the decision maker regarding when to release the film. With Raju taking his film under his wings, a relieved Ravi Teja has started his new project, to be directed by Kalyan Krishna.

A few months ago, Dil Raju had taken the responsibility of Sai Dharam Tej’s “Jawaan” and released it in December after reportedly enforcing multiple postponements. He however couldn’t save the film from becoming a failure, going by trade reports. Can Dil Raju succeed in helping Ravi Teja this time?

The makers of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Tamanna’s romantic drama have announced the title this morning, which we had revealed yesterday itself, ‘Naa Nuvve’ it is.

The title announcement came along with the release of first glimpse. The promo is very breezy and it hints at an emotional romantic drama in offering. Kalyan Ram looks very classy, it probably is his classiest look yet. Tamanna essays a RJ in the film. PC Sreeram’s stunning visuals with a soulful ‘Premika’ song playing in the background, makes the promo strike a chord with movie lovers.

Jayendra of ‘180’ fame is directing ‘Naa Nuvve’, which makers promise as a magical love story.

There had been rumours that Sharwanand and director Sudheer Varma’s film is scrapped. Contrary to those rumours, the film is said to be very much on. Apparently, Sharwa has begun Hanu Raghavapudi and Sai Pallavi film since the availability of Sai Pallavi who will subsequently move on to Suriya and Selvaraghavan film.

Due to these technical reasons, Sharwa said to have gently conveyed his situation to director Sudheer Varma and sought his approval to finish the major schedule of the other film. Sudheer too readily agreed to Sharwa’s request as he is aware of the practical problems of filmmaking. All this is done with utmost understanding of both Sharwa, Sudheer who are good friends.

After wrapping up a crucial schedule with Sai Pallavi, Sharwanand will join Sudheer Varma film in February end. Apparently, Sudheer Varma film is so long and needs two different shades of Sharwa where he needs to undergo transformation from one look to the other. This takes time.

Also, the film will have only two schedules – one is totally shot in India and the second one is totally shot in abroad. Due to these practical reasons, Sharwa has started Hanu’s film.

Meanwhile, Sudheer Varma is hunting for a female lead opposite Sharwa.

We have recently reported that the pre-production work for the Telugu remake of super hit Bollywood film, ‘2 States’ is underway and that Adivi Sesh is on board to play the male lead. The female lead for the love story has now been confirmed, and she is senior hero Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivani.

We have heard that Shivani has signed the Telugu remake of ‘2 States’ and thus will make her Telugu cinema debut with an already proven subject. The love story has equal screen space for both the leads hence Shivani will get ample screen time to make a solid impression on Telugu audience. She has given her nod to this film after having been looking for a potential debut project for a year or so.

In the film, Shivani is likely to play a Telugu girl who falls in love with a North Indian boy, to be played by Sesh. How the duo convinces their parents when they object to their love, on the grounds of vastly different cultures (Telugu vs North) is the film’s basic plot.

Rajasekhar has recently made his comeback with a resounding hit, ‘PSV Garuda Vega’. And now his daughter signs her debut film. Being the daughter of two talented actors, Rajasekhar-Jeevitha, Shivani is expected to score good marks on performance front.

Box office success is undoubtedly the biggest parameter to gauge a hero’s stardom. In this context, Salman Khan is inarguably the country’s biggest star hero. The box office behemoth has just delivered another film that joined the 300 Cr club and created numerous records.

Released on December 22, 2017, Salman’s latest film, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has comfortably entered the 300 Cr club. This is his third film in the club, the most by any hero. Aamir’s “Dangal” and “PK”, and the mammoth Baahubali 2 are the only other three films till date that crossed 300 Cr nett. mark in India.  Furthermore, Salman has delivered a 300 Cr film in three successive years – Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), an almost impossible feat to repeat for any of his competitors.

The Salman-starrer however trails miles behind Baahubali 2, which is the only film to collect more than 500 Cr nett. (only Hindi version) at domestic box office.

When top heroines such as Anushka, Kajal, Samantha and Tamanna were almost out, everyone thought that Rakul Preet would be the next big name down the South replacing the above names.

But surprisingly, she is slowing down in her career right now. Apparently, she is losing to newbies who are grabbing most of the films. Talk has it that, Rakul is of late looking more matured than she was before. This is also said to be one of the reasons for slowing down.

After shooting for a couple of weeks, Chiranjeevi is reportedly not satisfied with the shaping up of the epic biopic of India’s first-ever freedom fighter Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

Chiru, who is a perfectionist, is not content with the shape up of the film after watching the footage that is shot till. Chiru apparently watched some footage of 6 to 10 minutes and felt something is missing. He felt it could be better.

Expressing dissent, Chiru has left to Bangalore for break where he would rest in his farm house. He is expected to celebrate this year’s Sankranthi festival in the farm house with family members just like every year.

Meanwhile, he told director Surender Reddy to rework on the script. Apparently, Chiru even suggested some modifications. Since it is Chiru’s home production and involves ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan and makers are making a pan-India film on the lines of Baahubali, Chiru is said to be very demanding and highly conscious on his looks, demeanor.

Soon after his return, he will join the shoot of Sye Raa.

‘Akhil’ was a much bigger disaster in comparison but the failure of ‘Hello’ startled everyone. Unlike the first film, “Hello” didn’t receive disaster talk but the film still incurred huge losses to buyers, say trade reports. What went wrong? And how Akhil can place his career on track?

Trade analysts opine that Akhil and Nagarjuna are aiming to achieve too big at very early in the young hero’s career. Spending Rs 40 Cr on a film even without having an idea on a new hero’s reach is being said as the biggest mistake committed by the producers of both ‘Akhil’ and ‘Hello’. Nag, who invests very calculated on his production ventures, has reportedly lost more than Rs 10 Cr on ‘Hello’, because of probably spending too much than Akhil’s market.

Coming from the prestigious Akkineni family and being predicted to become the torchbearer of family legacy, Akhil commands Audience’ adulation. His films can recover in the range of 20 Cr from theatres, and Akhil can deliver hits if his films are kept in the 20 Cr bracket as of now. But, producers are spending in the range of 35-40 Cr on his films and expecting the same returns, resulting in massive failures.

Senior Akkineni fans suggest that Akhil should slowly build an image and expand his wings from film to film instead of trying to achieve Star image with just one film. It won’t be difficult for the talented and hard working young lad to hit bull’s eye at box office if he comes up with a moderate budget film having universal appeal.
