The much awaited first look of Akshay Kumar from his next Kesari has been unveiled. Sporting a large turbane, broad moustache and bushy beard, Akshay’s look is terrific and intriguing.

This is ambitious project of Karan Johar who wants to beat or recreate the magic of Baahubali made by SS Rajamouli.Keshari has gone onto the floors on Jan 5, 2018 (today). 50-year-old Akshay has joined the shoot.

Sharing his first look from the film, Akshay tweeted: “Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always.”

Karan Johar, whose Dharma Productions is bankrolling the battle drama, is also very excited. “Exceptionally excited about #KESARI…the BRAVEST story ever told….we begin our journey today… we seek your love and blessings….” he tweeted.

Telugu version producer of Sandeep Kishan’s latest movie “Project Z”, SK Basheed has come down heavily on the hero for cheating him. He has now accused that hero Sandeep is willfully promoting badly about the movie and creating unwanted rumours about it.

“The film released last week and it got the good talk. But what is wondering me is how the hero himself is cheating me when it comes to promoting this movie. For all producers there are villains are piracy, financiers and others, but for me, the villain for Project Z is Sandeep Kishan only. He’s a hero inside the film, but villain outside the movie” the producer said, talking about Sandeep straight.

“I’ve acquired negative rights of Project Z but haven’t released twice due to problems with Tamil release as we planned simultaneous release all the time. I’ve waited for long but decided to go with the release. But due to Sandeep Kishan not cooperating, I’ve got dubbed his voice with someone else, and needless to say, all of his 19 films with his original voice flopped, so I’ve got the voice done with another one. But Sandeep has started tweeted negatively about the film, and that now resulted in 3.5 crores loss despite film getting positive talk” said SK Basheed.

“All the producers of Sandeep Kishan end up in a huge loss only. His Nakshatram producer got operated for bypass surgery the day after film’s release. And the financier of Project Z committed suicide due to the delays. Rajamouli made a film with Eega, I’ll make a movie with a dog, but don’t make with Sandeep Kishan. He is of the feeling that Telugu audiences are ignoring him, that’s why he won’t promote the film” he added.

On a concluding note, SK Basheed said, “All the producers of Sandeep, beware of this hero and avoid him as he wants Tamil audiences more rather us. He calls people as brother and cheats them. Don’t believe in this hero. I went to court and released film legally, and I will continue to take action on him legally”.

In the coming days, we are going to witness what is said to be the mega-est blockbuster Tollywood has ever seen on its silver screen. Director giant SS Rajamouli who want to deliver a different film post Baahubali franchisee release is now coming up with Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s multi-starrer movie, which is raking up huge expectations ever since he tweeted that picture.

Ever since this news is out, people are speculating hugely about the characters that will be played Cherry and Tarak. A source from the unit gave a clue about these two when quizzed about the pre-production progress of the film. It is heard that both the star heroes will be seen as police officers in the movie. They will be seen as Sub-Inspectors in a rural area working on a case together, the source added.

Already Rajamouli is known for carving out the best for a police officer through his Vikram Singh Rathore role in ‘Vikramarkudu’ movie. So one can expect the kind of teasing he will do with khaki uniform yet again. Punch dialogues, hair rising action sequences, emotions and sentiments will be surely at peaks in case if Rajamouli has really chosen his heroes to be khakis.

On the other hand, both Charan and Tarak have played police in their careers, but experienced mixed results. While Thoofan is a miserable disaster, Temper proved NTR’s mettle due to its terrific storyline. Let’s see if the news comes true or not.

We often see Bollywood superstar’s children at family functions and film events. It is a rare sight to find them hanging with their parents at such events. One such incident took place at a family wedding in New Delhi. Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan was seen along with his wife, and his two children at the wedding.

Baahubali – The Conclusion, not only remains the perfect conclusion for the Baahubali series but also concluded the search for another James Cameroon. The SS Rajamouli film is known for its larger-than-life characters and magnum opus fight sequences on the silver screen. The film not only impressed the Indian audience but also received critical acclaim globally.

The film made into the various ‘Top 10’ lists of movies that shined at the box office. IMDB rated Baahubali – The Conclusion as the second most popular film of the year in India. The hashtag, #Baahubali2 was the most trending Entertainment hashtag on Twitter in 2017.

Baahubali-The Conclusion score 100 (by critics) on the Rotten Tomatoes site, with an audience rating of 87/100. According to movie critics, and audience, If a film achieves a score of 70+ on Rotten Tomatoes site, it is considered a worthy film.

‘It is a simple story. But the creativity of the director brews life into the film. Be it the characters, their armory, or the flying ships. Everything in the film is born from the director’s imagination. Baahubali truly brings the best of Director SS Rajamouli and keeps us wanting for more’, said an International film critic.

Recently, a group of dancers performed the single ‘Sahore Baahubali’ during an NBA match evidencing the Baahubali hysteria. The film has collected over 1600+ crores globally, and with recent releases in Japan and Russian. Prabhas, who played the title role ‘Baahubali’ became a national wide sensation with the Baahubali series.

Despite good reviews, Mental Madhilo hasn’t fared as expected at the theatres. Low landing cost, well-planned marketing and limited promotional budget have helped Mental Madhilo as low-risk film.

This par, the film’s satellite rights and digital rights have brought the profits for the makers. Interestingly, both the digital rights and TV rights have been sold for an OTT platform which is a rarity in Telugu cinema.

As per sources, Yupp TV has acquired the both TV and digital rights. So, one may force to see the film only on digital platform as the film’s TV telecast would not be anytime sooner unless Yupp TV sell it off to any other TV channel. The deal is said to be good money that raked in profits to the film’s producer Raj Kandukuri who immediately announced another film (Brochevarevaru Raa) with director Vivek Athreya.

However, the film’s presenter Suresh Babu, who released the film, seems to have faced the heat as he didn’t rake in profits as expected. Although there is no loss to Suresh Babu, but his loss is that the decrease in his profit share.

Now, one could understand Suresh Babu’s frustration on digital platforms that are eating away his profits (i.e theatrical revenue).

Anushka’s Bhaagamathie was initially planned for Sankranthi release. Although it was not announced, the makers have blocked theatres for Sankranthi in much advance. With the change of plan (as Bhaagamathie is pushed for Jan 26 release), production house UV Creations has smartly roped in its another production Suriya’s Gang in to the fray.

Suriya’s Gang is a joint venture of UV Creations and Studio Green. It is common knowledge by now that the duo has been working hand-in-hand along with Geetha Arts.

The plan is to release Suriya’s Gang in the theatres in which they have good hold. And after Gang is over, the same theatres would be replaced by Anushka’s Bhaagamathie. This is certainly a smart plan conceived by UV which is slowly increasing its grip on releases. Besides Andhra, UV is also now getting strong in Nizam.

Despite having Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi (released by Dil Raju in Nizam) and Balakrishna’s Jai Simha ( Asian Cinemas Suneel) and Raj Tarun’s Rangula Ratnam ( produced by Annapurna Studios and most likely distributed  by Asian Cinemas Suneel), UV’s Gang is hitting the screens comfortably on Jan 12.

Already, February is too loaded with a slew of releases. Especially, there are n number of films in the first and second week of February.

Now, joining the long list could be Tarun’s comeback film Idi Na Love Story. Apparently, producers of Idi Na Love Story are toying with the idea of releasing the film on February 2nd along with Naga Shaurya’s Chalo, Nani’s Awe, Mohan Babu’s Gayatri followed by Sai Dharam Tej’s Intelligent, Varun Tej’s Tholi Prema, Naga Shauyra and Sai Pallavi’s Kanam, Nikhil’s Kirrak Party for Feb 9th.

Earlier, the film’s teaser was unveiled by Nagarjuna and it garnered good response. The film’s trailer too appeared promising with interesting dialogues. Apparently, the film is a remake of super hit Kannada film and this features popular Tamil heroine Oviya (of Bigg Boss fame) opposite Tarun.

While Tarun is pinning high hopes on this film and hoping that it would bring him back to limelight, it needs to be seen what is in store as it is likely to clash with several biggies.

Natural Star Nani, one of the busiest and the most consistent star of Telugu cinema, is going to shoot for two movies simultaneously from next month.

Buoyed with the stunning success of ‘MCA’, Nani is currently busy wrapping up ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film is slated for April 12 release. The film’s shooting will come to an end by this month end or early February.

Without taking any big gap, Nani will start shooting for director Kishore Tirumala’s film from February. Tentatively titled ‘Chitralahari’, the film will be bankrolled by Mythri movie makers. It is expected to hit screens somewhere around July.

Nani has also given green signal to the highly discussed multistarrer also featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film will go on floors in March. Nani will shoot for this film in parallel with Kishore Tirumala’s film. To be bankrolled by Ashwini Dutt, the multistarrer will be directed by Sriram Aditya.

Nani will have four releases this year – the aforementioned three films and Awe!.
