“Sir, it’s enough!! You’ve served almost 15 years as Chief Minister of state. The country needs you. Go there and become a Prime Minister” said JC Diwakar Reddy, splitting everyone on the stage into awe. He added, “BJP government is not playing a constructive role and they need you to set things right. Make your son Lokesh as Chief Minister and leave”.

Also, JC joked that Chandrababu is a very strict Chief Minister who works round the clock and holds a teleconference with every government official. He said that even local MLAs and MPs don’t get the time of bureaucrats because they are always busy in a teleconference with CM.

“Lokesh has all the right to become Chief Minister of state. When there is a huge crisis within the family, he (Naidu) took things into hands and set everything right. He has built a party with his hard work and sacrifice. What’s wrong with giving the baton and passing the legacy to his son Lokesh? Yes, Lokesh should become CM” Diwakar Reddy said.

He also gave an example: “There are rich MPs like Jayadev here. Tomorrow he gives the whole of his firms and money to his son only. I gave my total assets to my son Pawan. So there is no wrong in giving TDP’s steering wheel to Lokesh”

Imminent Divorce With BJP

“I’ve gone to Delhi along with Naidu to meet Narendra Modi. He offered tea but spoke nothing about AP’s Special Status. Then only I’ve understood that he will give nothing and warned Naidu that this relationship with BJP will end up in a divorce” he said.

JC also added that Chandrababu has played cool guy all the time because BJP is in power and state should not miss any benefit from Centre with TDP breaking ties with the ruling party.

“Jagan accuses that Chandrababu came up with 2 acres and today his son has 3000 crores Heritage. So, what do YSR’s father and Jagan’s grandpa Raja Reddy has? He too has the same two acres. And today everyone knows how much Jagan amassed” he quipped, making a stark attack against Jagan’s recent comments.

He also added: “Chandrababu has no need to earn money through projects and give it to his son. Heritage is giving his son 3000 crores and tomorrow it might give 15000 crores. If there is any fraud happened in Polavaram then our guy Kiran (ex-CM Kiran Kumar Reddy) did the mistakes, after failing bait for some amyamya!! (read bribes)”.

Power star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who frequently used to talk about Anantapur in Rayalaseema and its backwardness till recently, seems to have developed more affinity towards Srikakulam district of late.For the last one week, he has been touring extensively in all parts of Srikakulam, so much so that he has finally decided to contest the assembly elections from the district.

The party sources say he might contest the elections from Ichapuram constituency, which has shown tremendous response to his tour.Till the other day, Pawan was talking about his Anantapur. He even declared that he would contest from Anantapur so that he could represent the problems of the district in Assembly.

But those days, he was not evincing interest in coming to power and the CM post. But now that he declared that Jana Sena would contest all the seats in 2019 and come to power, he has changed his mind on choosing his constituency.Apparently, Pawan was so much fascinated by Srikakulam, especially after seeing the response he has got on the Uddanam kidney patients issue. He described Uddanam area as another Konaseema with picturesque land scape.

He alleged that Srikakulam district has always been in the grip of a handful of families and added that sand mafia was looting the district to a tune of several crores every month.

Slamming Naidu, he asked Chandrababu as to why he was ignoring the development of north coastal Andhra and was according importance only to Amaravati.He called upon the people to question both the BJP and the TDP leaders on the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh.

In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old Telugu man named Asish Penugonda fell to his death while climbing the famous Yosemite National Park’s Half Dome trail in California, USA. The tragedy struck at around 4:30 pm on May 21.

Asish Penugonda and other hikers were hiking up the steep north side of Half Dome in the park. His close friend revealed that Asish slipped from the cables and fell to his death during thunderstorm activity.

Asish was hiking his way up the last 400 feet to the summit of Half Dome, which rises nearly 5,000 feet above California’s Yosemite Valley. The park rangers arrived on the scene and recovered Asish’s body and provided assistance to the second hiker.

Asish hailed from Andhra Pradesh. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked as a biochemist with Siemens Healthcare, New Jersey. His friends have launched a ‘Go Fund Me’ campaign to help pay for his funeral in Fremont, transport of his body home to India, and assistance to his mother and elder brother. Nearly 1,218 people continued over USD 50,471 within 6 days.

Looks like, BJP has still not come to terms with the defeat of Karnataka where JD(S) and Congress combine went to form the government. In its fresh attack, the Saffron party took a jibe at Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy on Monday, saying he was the “chief manager (CM)” of the Congress’s ATM in the state and that he was lying prostrate at the feet of the Gandhi family.

It is after Kumaraswamy’s comments in Bengaluru on Sunday that he was at the mercy of the Congress and not the people of Karnataka as his government had not received the full mandate, which his party had sought in the recently conducted Assembly election in the state.

“Nothing can be sadder than this. This is absolutely demeaning to the democratic fabric of the country and akin to an abuse of India’s democracy,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told media. Mr Patra alleged that for the Congress, Karnataka was its ATM and it had found a chief manager in HD Kumaraswamy, while the government in the southern state would be run from Janpath — a reference to the residential address of former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

The BJP had emerged as the single-largest party in the Karnataka Assembly election by bagging 104 of the 222 seats that went to the polls, but fell short of a majority, allowing the Congress and the JD(S) to join hands and form government in the state.

Meanwhile, comments have poured in from various netizens over BJP’s remarks against Congress.  “The rest of India is BJP’s ATM. BJP is high time you stop teaching ethics in politics,” said on Anonymous. “And your actual ATM’s are 20 states?” wrote another.  “What has made the BJP the richest party in India in no time?,” commented another citizen.

Other day, comedian and former writer-director Posani Krishna Murali has met YS Jagan, expressing his complete support to the opposition leader. After foul mouthing TDP during Nandi awards controversy and also recently while talking about casting couch like stuff, Posani showcased his love for YSR Congress. And then he made it real as well.

Joining this brigade is none other than Prithvi, of 30-years-industry dialogue. He has met Jagan today at Bhimavaram and confirmed that he’s full support for YS Jagan. Also, he praised that people are daring scorching heat wave to turn out for Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yaatra and wished luck for the future CM as he’s confident that Jagan will be voted to power in 2019.

One wonders if Jagan’s yatra is getting attention for his real leadership skills or due to these comedians making their presence felt there. A real-life ‘Spiderman’ has climbed a tall building in order to save a child who was suspending from the balcony of the fourth floor. Mamoudou Gassama, a migrant man from Mali, is now showered with compliments such as real-life ‘Spiderman’ and ‘Hero’ when he has rescued 4-yr-old child without thinking a second for his own safety. The incident took place in Paris.

A video of Mamoudou Gassama saving the child in North Paris is now going viral. The video shows 22-yr-old Gassama pulling himself up from balcony to balcony with his bare hands as a man on the fourth floor tries to hold on to the child by leaning across from a neighbouring balcony.

The crowd on the street watched the amazing feat with astonishment. They cheered and clapped for Gassama’s daring and heroic act. For a while, the traffic on the street came to the halt.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the child had already been rescued. “Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child,” a fire service spokesman told media.

Interestingly, Gassama has won an admirer in form of Paris Mayor herself. Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo praised the young migrant on Twitter for his “act of bravery” as well as phoning him personally to “thank him warmly”. “He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago dreaming of building his life here. “I told him that his heroic act is an example to all citizens and that the city of Paris will obviously be very keen to support him in his efforts to settle in France,” she added.

Meanwhile, the authorities of Paris reportedly found that the child’s parents were not at home at the time of the incident. The father was later held for questioning by Paris police for having left his child unattended and was due in court later, said reports. The child’s mother was not in Paris at the time.

After the heroic act, Gassama was chased by media who finally found his response. He said, “I saw all these people shouting, and cars sounding their horns. I climbed up like that and, thank God, I saved the child. I felt afraid  when I saved the child… (when) we went into the living room, I started to shake, I could hardly stand up, I had to sit down.”

After witnessing massive protests from local people for over 100 days and killing 13 protesters in police firing, at last, the Tamil Nadu state government today issued a Government Order, directing the state Pollution Control Board to seal the Vedanta group’s copper plant and close it down “permanently”.

The Government Order (GO) said it endorsed the recent closure direction of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, and also asked the TNPCB to “seal the unit and close the plant permanently”.

The document cited the Constitution’s directive principles of state policy (Article 48-A) enjoining protection of environment and provisions of the Water Act, 1974, to order the permanent closure of the copper factory “in the larger public interest”.

It referred to the PCB order of April 9 refusing to renew its consent to allow Vedanta’s copper smelter plant at Tuticorin to operate.

The order recalled how on May 23 the TNPCB had issued directions for closure of the unit and disconnection of power supply to it. The power supply was disconnected a day later.

Chief Minister K Palaniswami said the government has issued the GO obliging the sentiments of the people. The locals were protesting for the closure of the factory for 99 days. Protesters turned violent on May 22, the 100th day of their stir, and 13 people were killed in police action against them last Tuesday and Wednesday.
