I Did My Duty, JD On Jagan’s Arrest
It’s well-known that former CBI Joint Director Lakshminarayana had handled YSRCP President and Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly YS Jagan’s disproportionate assets case registered by the Enforcement Directorate. Jagan’s Arrest was a nationwide sensation. However, there were also several allegations on JD Lakshminarayana’s approach in Jagan’s case. Many alleged that the ex-CBI honcho had arrested Jagan due to political and bureaucratic pressures.
In a recent interview given to a news channel, JD Lakshminarayana laughed off these allegations and clarified that he had arrested Jagan and produced him in the court within 24 hours as per the rules. He stated that he was under no political or bureaucratic pressure to arrest Jagan. He also revealed that he was functioning as a DGP in CBI even before he handled Jagan’s case.
JD Lakshminarayana went on to remind that even the CBI Special Court had approved the witnesses he had produced against Jagan’s corruption. He trashed the allegations that he was surgically appointed to target Jagan, saying that he had always been duty-bound during his service.
Explaining further, Lakshminarayana said that he took charge as Hyderabad CBI’s DGP way back in 2006 whereas he began handing Jagan’s case only in 2011. He further said that he had legitimately probed the case and procured witnesses and that he never crossed the boundaries of his power.
Srikakulam Tour Exposed Flaws In Pawan Kalyan
Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is working pretty hard under the sun for “Praja Porata Yatra”, his first ever mega political tour going on in North Andhra districts now. Analysts feel that this tour is exposing the flaws of the Powerstar, not to anyone, but to himself.
Pawan’s energetic speeches, effervescent chants, emotional outbursts and expository doctrines are good to hear. Let’s say the huge crowds gathered at his convenes are going to vote his Janasena Party which is yet to get a symbol allotted by Election Commission. But the big question is, we will vote Pawan to power, but who’s going to be the face of Pawan locally?
The biggest flaw that Pawan observed about himself is, not identifying the local leaders and possible contestants on behalf of Janasena in the regions he is touring. If he himself could announce that he’s going to make a particular person as the contestant, then that makes difference. While other competitors like TDP or YSRCP has two to three contestants in the line for every MLA ticket including the incumbent ones, Janasena is not able to pronounce even a single name. That’s where people are confused and that is the area where Pawan needs wisdom.
With just a year ahead for the general elections, by this time Pawan Kalyan should unveil the cutouts of local leaders. The big faces that will be representing the party at booth level should be introduced to citizens and that is going to make a huge difference. By looking at Pawan’s face, people will not be voting to any face that will face them in their own constituency, but only a credible and upright face that gets the votes.
Talk is that Praja Rajyam Party would have won at least 20 seats in addition to the 18 it won in 2014, had the party fielded right candidates. Identifying this flaw, first Pawan should correct it, and then he could relax by attacking others. Otherwise, his speeches end up as mere YouTube view-making videos.
Big Heroes: 2019 Repeats 2017 Magic?
Year 2017 was magnificent for Telugu Film Industry where we had biggest hits like Khaidi #150, Gautamiputra Satakarni, Satamanam Bhavati, Ghazi Attack and of course the world renowned Bahubali-2.
Keeping the rest aside, in the year 2019 both Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are coming up with their epic films Sye Raa and NTR respectively.
The films are being made on large scale and freshly Nandamuri Balakrishna announced the name of Jagarlamudi Krish as the director of NTR. Expectations soared higher now with this new announcement knowing how Krish makes the films with respect and commitment.
While Savitri’s biopic Mahanati itself made a big noise at the box office, the result of NTR Biopic is left to the imagination of all.
On the other hand Surender Reddy’s “Sye Raa” has already made the atmosphere warm with some stills leaked from the sets. It is needless to say that this film shoots up the expectations once the promotion starts.
All in all, two big treats from beg heroes are confirmed for 2019 and both the films are considered blockbusters much before their actual making.
I’m Not Natural Actor – Star Hero
Critically acclaimed actor Aamir Khan shocked everyone by stating that he is not a natural actor. He said unlike others he has to work his way through a performance to reach the perfect pitch. Aamir said he has a sense of what a good performance entails but it takes him a while to embody the character.
“When I see actors like Naseer (Nasseruddin Shah), Om Puri ji, Raghubir Yadav, Dilip Kumar sahab, Amitabh Bachchan ji and Zaira Wasim, I feel they are a powerhouse. When they give their shot, there is so much belief in them and it comes out very naturally and effortlessly. I don’t feel that I have that gift. I feel I have to work myself up to that level, it will take a bit of effort to reach to that level,” Aamir said.
Aamir, who has completed 30 years in the film industry, said he fights through his doubts and does not mind going through multiple rehearsals if it can better the performance.
Citing the example of Dangal, Aamir said it took Wasim just a week to pick up the Haryanavi accent, whereas he struggled for four months to learn it.
“I am not a natural (actor). When I start my first reading I feel I am very bad, like when the reading of ‘Lagaan’ was happening I was like director Ashutosh Gowariker shouldn’t drop me as other actors like Raghubir ji are doing good. My first reading is always pathetic and I start working on it.”
The 53-year-old star says he needs time to rehearse, especially learn his lines beforehand. “I do rehearsals for three to four months before a film (shoot). I rehearse with the director, then I do rehearsals alone. That’s when I memorise my lines so that when I am on the set, I’ll be ready. It should be your lines and not the writer’s line. I write lines as well.”
TDP Sr Leader Breaks Down At NTR Ghat
TDP Telangana unit senior leader Motkupally Narasimhulu broke down after paying floral tributes to the departed TDP founder President NT Rama Rao at the latter’s graveyard in Hyderabad.
On the occasion of NTR’s birth anniversary, he recalled NTR services to Telugu people. While speaking to media, he targeted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleging the TDP Chief betrayed NTR.
Narasimhulu sobbed when he spoke about NTR’s dedication to uplift Dalit communities. He was along with NTR till the film legend turned star politician breathed last.
Charan Browsing Through Old Novels
Ram Charan has been in the merry of stupendous success of “Rangasthalam”. At the same time he is feeling more responsible and has become more conscious about his stories giving an exemption only to the master craftsman Rajamouli.
Inside sources say that Ram Charan has given direction to his team around to browse through some old novels from different languages with some intense story lines with character rich narration.
Rangasthalam, a period backdrop line caught the attention of majority audience due to its novelty and powerful characters in the film. It is said that Ram Charan is believing in the story lines where the concentration of characterization focuses not only on the hero but also rest of the characters. Such phenomenon is generally seen in the old novels.
That seems to be a very wise understanding and it is needless to say that Telugu film industry will have more meaningful intense films if the stars like Ram Charan take decision.
Here Is Why Krish Took Time To Accept NTR Biopic
Other day it is officially confirmed that director Krish is onboard to helm the mighty biopic of legendary actor and politician NT Rama Rao, titled “NTR”. After the stupendous success of “Mahanati”, definitely this biopic is getting all the attention.
Though there are rumours from a month or so that Krish will be handling the direction, one wonders why it took such a time to give the confirmation. Speculation is that the talented director has come on board only after the makers agreed to change parts of the script. Here is an insider info, however.
It’s being said that Krish took his time to read the script but asking for changes is never his agenda. And he took time only to sink the fact that he is doing a film on one of the biggest icons and any small mistake would be a huge sin. Though he made Gautamiputra Satakarni earlier, that is a historical film with no absolute reference, so anything will go well. But with NTR’s life and times fresh in the minds of Telugu people, surely he has to nail everything only to a distinction. That’s the reason that made him wait.
We hear that veteran director K Raghavendra Rao played a huge part in convincing Krish to take up the biopic as everyone including Nandamuri Balakrishna is confident of his directorial abilities. To conclude, Krish took time to accept the challenge, but not to change the script.
