Rubbing salt on BJP’s wound – losing Karnataka, Chandrababu’s presence at the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy had further embarrassed his political enemy Narendra Modi. In continuation to this, Chandrababu Naidu has now come up with a master-plan to further humiliate Modi-Shah combine. In a fresh idea, Naidu will be inviting all major national leaders and regional party chiefs to the Dharma Porata Sabha in Amaravati. In this Sabha, Chandrababu would be making a stentorian speech exposing Modi & his government’s bundle of lies.

Already, Naidu has been screening the videos of Modi’s previous speeches on promises to AP and how he violated all those. While this is already irking BJP leaders, the new attempt to make Amaravati event a national event and catching the attention of national media would further irk BJP.

Chandrababu Naidu is already making preparations for the grand do and invite the likes of Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and communist leaders besides others. Since this is the third and final event of Dharma Porata Sabha that was earlier conducted in Tirupati and Vizag, now massive arrangements are done in Amaravati. Naidu is expecting 5 lakh crowd for the do.

This Dharma Porata Sabha in Amaravati is said to be very crucial for TDP as it not only targets BJP, but even expected to give a huge shock to YSRCP that is working hand-in-glove with the Saffron party.

In fact, Naidu wants to prove a point to people that only he has national charisma and could bring Special Category Status to AP. And one more message is to BJP and its top leaders that what Naidu could do if ignored. The Dharma Porata Sabha in Amaravati is expected to be a stage for all Opposition parties and their future course of action in Battle 2019.

Even as two-day CM Yeddyurappa resigned voluntarily ahead of the Floor Test and admitted that he has required numbers to form the government, BJP seems to have not given up its hopes on Karnataka. In a fresh, Karnataka BJP’s senior MLA S Suresh Kumar has filed his nomination for the Speaker post.

Suresh, a five-time MLA, from BJP is contesting the election opposite Congress-JD(S) combine. This is even after BJP stepped down as it has only 104 MLAs whereas Congress-JD(S) combine has 117 MLAs.

“Based on the strength of numbers and various other factors, our party leaders have confidence that I will win. With that confidence I have filed my nomination.I’ve filed my nomination. There is election tomorrow at 12.15 pm. After the election you will get to know the result,” Suresh was quoted as saying.

Responding on this, ex CM and Congress leader Siddaramiah enthused confidence that their candidate Ramesh would win. After Congress-JD(S) combine gave shock to Modi and Amit Shah by stopping them in Karnataka, BJP now wants to give back the shock to Congress and JD(S) by winning Speaker post.

However, one has to wait and see, what would happen. Looks like, BJP has not given up its hopes on Karnataka yet.

After ousting BJP in Karnataka, Opposition parties have shown up a great strength at the swearing-in of Kumaraswamy. In fact, this is the largest opposition force after 1996. Amdist this, Opposition parties are making quick moves in order to take on Modi juggernaut in 2019.

As part of it, key leader Mamata Banerjee said to have asked Chandrababu Naidu to lead the front. On the sidelines of Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in, Mamata met Naidu and interacted with him. She said to have asked him to lead the Opposition as he is the most senior leader in handling the fronts and coalitions with vast experience. Mamata reportedly raised the issue of the 15th Finance Commission which would hamper the prospects of the states. She stressed the need for the unity of regional parties for the development of states pointing at the cooperative federalism.

While Rahul met Naidu informally and just shook hands as a gesture, Naidu also met CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Naidu and Yechury had good conversation and Sitaram reportedly opined the need for the unity of all secular democratic forces for which Naidu too agreed.

Meanwhile, TDP’s senior leaders like Yanamala Ramakrishnudu have denied any patch up with Congress and reiterated the party’s stand to stay at equal distance from both the national parties – Congress and BJP. Yanamala said TDP stands only for the development of Andhra Pradesh and wouldn’t engage in politics unless they’re needed for the state. Another senior leader from TDP and close aide of Naidu and former Union Minister Sujana Chowdary commented that this is the beginning of the fall of BJP and restoration of democracy.

Besides CPM, CPI leaders Raja and Suravaram also interacted with Chandrababu at the swearing-in and expressed their wish to work as force. Looks like, Naidu is going to get busy in National Politics once again.

Even today, deadly Nipah Virus has taken its toll with one more person succumbing to it today, raising the death toll so far to 12 persons in the deadly attack. On Monday, Kerala nurse Lini Puthussery also breathed her last after she had been affected by the virus when she treated patients at Perambra Taluk hospital in Kozhikode district.

What is touching is that Lini wrote a letter to her husband Sajeesh, from the deathbed as there is no chance of the family seeing her dead body after her death. Isolating herself in a separate ward, Lini asked to cremate her dead body without any delay as the visiting family members might also contact virus. And she left her husband only with the letter, in her own handwriting.

“Sajeeshetta, am almost on the way. I don’t think I can meet you again. Sorry. Please look after our little ones and take them to Gulf. They shouldn’t be alone like our father. With lots of love. Umma” is what she wrote in the letter.

But our Yoga loving Narendra Modi has responded to Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s fitness challenge on Twitter. And that reply has turned epic for sure.

Like the famous ice bucket challenge, a couple of days ago union minister and athlete Rajvardham Sing Rathore posted a video of him doing push-ups and tagged Virat to take up the #FitnessChallenge. Accepting the challenge, Virat has posted his own butt plank workout video and tagged PM Modi, MS Dhoni and his loving wife Anushka Sharma to take up the challenge.

Replying to Virat Kohli, Modi has today morning tweeted, “Challenge accepted, Virat! I will be sharing my own #FitnessChallenge video soon”. Many got stunned with Modi’s tweet and they are looking forward to his yoga video if we have to go by PM’s liking for the aasans.

Just one year before the election, no one generally expects governments to hike prices of some commodities. But the ruling BJP government at the centre is busy making policies that are leading to hiking of Petrol and Diesel prices almost every day.

In all the major cities of India, petrol price has now touched 80 rupees mark and in Mumbai, it is almost 85 rupees per litre. While Narendra Modi’s government is taking on petrol this way, KCR led Telangana government has now given a go for beer hike in the state. Regular patrons of the chilled beer have to shed 10% more from today to sip beer in the hot summer.

A light beer of Kingfisher brand was earlier sold for Rs 90 and now it will cost Rs 100. Similarly, prices of other beers are also hiked by 10 t0 12 percent, while premium beer like Budweiser strong will be costing nearly 170 rupees. It’s heard that Telangana government will be making additional Rs 300 crore per annum through this hike while the current revenues from liquor are touching 1100+ crores every year.

Telangana is one of the highest beer consuming state in the country, followed by New Delhi, Kerala and Karnataka. State officials made it clear that the hike is a regular thing as part of the revision policy that is revised every two years.
