Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to team up with acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and top producer Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations for a massive new project, which has been officially announced today.

This marks a first-time collaboration for the trio, creating a powerful combination in Indian cinema. Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest crowd-pullers, joins hands with National Award–winning director Vamshi Paidipally and prestigious producer Dil Raju, who also holds multiple National Awards.

Vamshi Paidipally is reportedly working on a high-octane, action-packed script specially designed to suit Salman Khan’s larger-than-life screen image. After films like Yevadu, the director is said to have developed an intense narrative blending strong emotions with mass entertainment.

Known for his emotional storytelling and strong character-driven narratives, Vamshi has carefully shaped the script to balance both commercial appeal and emotional depth. Sources suggest that Salman Khan was highly impressed with the narration and immediately gave his approval.

Mounted on a huge budget, the film is being designed as a pan-India theatrical release scheduled for next year.

Share

Rukmini Vasanth, who made her mark in Kannada cinema and is now captivating audiences across South India with her acting, has quickly emerged as one of the most promising pan-India stars. She rose to massive popularity with the film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, where her performance earned her a strong fan following, especially among the youth. Beyond her screen presence, she continues to impress with her grounded personality and disciplined approach to her craft.

Her career took a significant turn with her involvement in major projects, including the Kantara franchise, which further elevated her recognition on a pan-India level. Coming from a proud military background, Rukmini’s father, Colonel Vasanth Venugopal, was martyred in 2007 while fighting terrorists and was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award. This strong family legacy has shaped her discipline and dedication, while her mother, Subhashini Vasanth, instilled in her a deep appreciation for the arts.

Currently, Rukmini Vasanth’s estimated net worth is around ₹7 crore, with expectations that it could rise to ₹10 crore by the end of 2026 through films, brand endorsements, and other ventures. After the success of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello and her growing popularity in pan-India cinema, she has significantly increased her remuneration, reportedly charging around ₹3 crore per film.

Her career trajectory continues to rise with several high-profile projects. She played a striking role in Kantara: Chapter 1, portraying a character with negative shades that surprised audiences. Additionally, she is reportedly being considered for the much-anticipated NTR–Prashanth Neel project, tentatively titled Dragon.

Rukmini has also expanded her presence into Tamil cinema, acting alongside Vijay Sethupathi in Ace and Sivakarthikeyan in Madarasi. These roles have helped her build a strong reputation across industries. With growing attention from Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada film industries, she is steadily becoming a pan-India favorite.

With her natural acting talent, elegant screen presence, and increasing popularity, Rukmini Vasanth is widely seen as one of the rising stars to watch in the coming years, with even potential entry into Bollywood on the horizon.

Apple WWDC 2026: iOS 27 to Bring Major Siri AI Upgrade

Share

Apple has officially announced the dates for its annual developer conference, WWDC 2026, where the company is expected to preview its next major software update, iOS 27. The update is scheduled to be rolled out publicly in June, and early reports suggest a strong focus on artificial intelligence enhancements.

This year, Apple is reportedly placing significant emphasis on advancing AI capabilities, particularly by upgrading Siri. According to a Bloomberg report, iOS 27 may introduce AI extension support, allowing users to integrate and run third-party AI chatbots directly within Siri.

If implemented, this feature would reduce Apple’s dependence on external partnerships like OpenAI’s ChatGPT integration and give users the flexibility to choose from multiple AI services. Users may be able to install and manage these AI tools directly through system settings across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Apple is also expected to introduce a dedicated section in the App Store for AI-powered tools, enabling users to select services such as Google’s Gemini or Anthropic’s Claude for use within Siri. This integration could potentially create a new revenue stream, allowing subscriptions to be processed through Apple’s ecosystem.

The report also suggests that this new AI extension framework would be separate from Apple’s ongoing collaboration with Google. That partnership is believed to focus on improving Siri’s core intelligence using Gemini models, while the new extension system would expand flexibility for third-party AI providers.

Overall, Apple appears to be planning a major transformation of Siri, evolving it from a traditional voice assistant into a more open and AI-driven platform with broader capabilities across its devices.

Sarvam AI Launches “Chanakya” for Secure Enterprise AI

Indian AI startup Sarvam AI is expanding its enterprise operations with a new vertical called “Chanakya,” focused on applied AI solutions for high-impact sectors. The initiative aims to deliver real-world AI systems for governments, enterprises, and critical industries where security, reliability, and sovereignty are top priorities.

In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), the company announced that it has been quietly building full-stack AI capabilities over the past year to address complex and national-level challenges. “Applying our full-stack AI to problems of national consequence and complex enterprises. Now we’re scaling the vertical behind it – Chanakya,” the company stated.

The “Chanakya” platform is designed to operate in secure, air-gapped environments that are isolated from the internet, ensuring maximum data protection. It can process multiple data formats, including text and images, and autonomously execute AI workflows in sensitive, real-world scenarios.

Sarvam AI is targeting organisations that operate outside public cloud infrastructure, particularly those in defence, governance, and other strategic sectors. The system is also described as “dual-use,” meaning it can serve both enterprise applications and national security requirements.

As part of its broader expansion, Sarvam has been strengthening its AI ecosystem with advanced offerings. At the Indian AI Impact Summit 2026, the company unveiled its foundation models Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B, which support 22 Indian languages and have shown strong performance compared to global models.

The startup also introduced AI-powered smart glasses called Sarvam Kaze and launched its AI-first application “Indus.” Additionally, Sarvam has joined Nvidia’s Nemotron Coalition, collaborating with global AI firms to develop next-generation open foundation models, marking its growing presence in the international AI ecosystem.

US Visitor Visa Delays Reach 9 Months in India

Share

Indian travellers planning a visit to the United States are currently facing significant delays in securing visitor visa appointments, with wait times stretching up to nine months in some cities, according to the latest data from the U.S. Department of State’s Global Visa Wait Times.

Mumbai records the longest delay, where both the average wait time and the next available B1/B2 visa interview slot stand at around nine months. In New Delhi, applicants are facing a comparatively shorter but still considerable wait of approximately seven months for the next available appointment.

The data, updated monthly, reflects interview availability across various U.S. embassies and consulates in India. However, officials have clarified that these timelines are subject to change depending on the release of new appointment slots.

City-wise variation in wait times

Other major centres also show varying timelines. Hyderabad reports an average wait of 6.5 months, with the next available appointment at around eight months. Kolkata shows a similar 6.5-month wait, while Chennai offers relatively faster access, with appointments available in about three months.

This variation suggests that applicants may be able to secure earlier interview dates by choosing alternate consulates, depending on availability.

Faster processing for student and work visas

In contrast, student visa categories (F, M, and J) are being processed much faster. New Delhi offers appointments in less than half a month, while Mumbai has a wait of about two months and Hyderabad around 2.5 months.

Work visa categories, including H, L, O, P, and Q, are also moving relatively quickly. New Delhi and Mumbai show availability in roughly one month, Hyderabad in three months, and Kolkata in about 1.5 months.

Crew and transit visas remain the fastest, with most cities offering appointments within a month or even less.

Timelines remain flexible

The U.S. Department of State has emphasized that these wait times are only indicative and based on the previous month’s data. As embassies continue to release new slots, applicants may find earlier appointments becoming available.

Officials also noted that the reported average wait times do not guarantee appointment dates within a fixed period.

The latest figures highlight continued strong demand for U.S. visitor visas across India, even as student and employment-related categories continue to move at a faster pace. Applicants are advised to regularly check official booking systems for real-time updates.

Prakash Raj’s Mother Suvarna Latha Passes Away

Share

Veteran actor Prakash Raj is currently going through a deeply emotional phase as his mother, Suvarna Latha, passed away at the age of 86. She breathed her last at their residence this morning after battling age-related health issues for some time. The family has confirmed that the last rites will be performed this evening in Bengaluru.

As soon as the news broke, condolences poured in from film celebrities, fans, and political leaders, expressing their heartfelt sympathy to Prakash Raj and his family. The unfortunate incident has left the film industry in shock, with many mourning the loss alongside the actor.

Born on March 26, 1965, in Bengaluru-Mysore region, Prakash Raj has established himself as a versatile performer, working as an actor, producer, director, television host, and even politician. Before entering films, he was actively involved in theatre and television in Kannada, which shaped his strong foundation in acting.

He made his film debut in Tamil cinema with K. Balachander’s Duet and went on to become one of the most respected performers across South Indian and Hindi film industries. Known for his powerful negative and character roles, he has delivered several critically acclaimed performances over the years.

Prakash Raj has also received numerous prestigious awards, including two National Film Awards—one for Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar (Best Supporting Actor) and another for Krishna Vamsi’s Telugu film Anthahpuram. As a producer, he also won a National Award for the Kannada film Puttakkana Highway.

Salman Khan Career Rumors Spark Debate Over Comeback

Share

Reports claiming that Bollywood star Salman Khan’s career is “over” after the film Sikandar have sparked a major debate on social media. Some viral posts suggested that trade analyst Komal Nahta made comments implying that Salman is no longer in demand and that new producers are hesitant to work with him. However, industry circles believe these claims may be misleading or even AI-generated, and that an official clarification from Nahta would help clear the confusion.

Trade experts point out that such negative narratives about a superstar like Salman Khan are hard to accept, given his decades-long dominance and massive fan following. They argue that a few underperforming films do not define the legacy of a legendary actor. In fact, even new-generation stars often receive major opportunities after a single hit, making it unfair to judge veterans by short-term results.

While it is true that Salman Khan has not delivered a major blockbuster in the past few years, industry insiders believe there are multiple ways for him to bounce back. One suggested approach is smarter budgeting strategies, stronger digital and satellite deals, and profit-sharing models where the actor takes a share of the profits instead of a fixed fee, reducing pressure on producers.

Despite recent setbacks, calling his career “finished” is seen as an exaggeration. Salman Khan is reportedly working hard on his next project, Motherland, aiming for a strong comeback. He is said to be giving special attention to the film, with hopes of proving his box office strength once again.

Trade analysts also emphasize that Bollywood’s commercial stability still relies heavily on stars like Salman Khan. His films continuing to perform well is considered important for the overall industry ecosystem. Fans and industry observers alike are now closely waiting to see whether his upcoming projects can deliver a powerful comeback and silence critics once and for all.

Prabhas to Join Kalki 2898 AD Sequel Shoot from April 10

Share

Reigning star Prabhas is reportedly set to join the shoot of the highly anticipated sequel to Kalki 2898 AD next month, further building momentum around the ambitious sci-fi project. As per industry reports, he will begin filming from April 10, appearing in a powerful mythological avatar as Karna.

Sources suggest that a major Mahabharata-inspired sequence is being planned, featuring an intense face-off between Karna (Prabhas) and Arjuna, played by Vijay Deverakonda. This high-octane episode is expected to run for nearly 20 minutes and will include several key characters from the storyline.

The sequel, directed by Nag Ashwin, is currently progressing at a brisk pace. Recently, important portions featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were also shot in Hyderabad.

Unlike his role in the first installment, where he played a witty and carefree bounty hunter, Prabhas is said to undergo a major transformation in the sequel, portraying a more intense and emotionally layered character.

Meanwhile, he is balancing multiple big-ticket projects. He has already allocated dates for Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and is also working on Fauji, helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film is a period drama showcasing him as a spirited officer taking on British forces.

With such diverse roles across genres, Prabhas continues to expand his acting range, consciously avoiding repetitive roles and pushing himself into new creative territories.

Ram Charan’s Peddi Likely to Get Postponed

Share

The much-anticipated film Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is likely to be postponed from its originally planned release on April 30. Reports suggest that the makers are considering a more favorable window in May or June to ensure a better final output.

The delay is primarily attributed to pending VFX work for a few key sequences, with the complete footage expected to be ready only by April 26. Additionally, the team recently carried out two reshoots to enhance the film’s overall impact and entertainment value. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, industry insiders believe a postponement is highly probable.

Interestingly, Sukumar is said to be closely supervising crucial action sequences and overseeing the VFX quality. The film is being directed by his former assistant Buchi Babu Sana, and this added involvement is aimed at ensuring top-notch execution.

Ram Charan has reportedly dedicated nearly two years to the project, undergoing a major physical transformation, including a muscular look and long hair, highlighting the scale and commitment behind the film.

Sources indicate that Peddi has shaped up extremely well, and a slight delay could help deliver a more polished cinematic experience. Industry experts feel that a mid-summer release might actually work in the film’s favor, especially with strong anticipation among fans.

This trend isn’t new, as big films like Salaar and Pushpa: The Rise also opted for delays to perfect their VFX and overall quality. With Telugu cinema expanding its global reach, filmmakers are prioritizing high production standards. Meanwhile, the film’s music has already created buzz, with songs like “Chikri Chikri” gaining popularity, and the teaser receiving a positive response, further building excitement ahead of release.
