Prabhas to Join Kalki 2898 AD Sequel Shoot from April 10

Share

Reigning star Prabhas is reportedly set to join the shoot of the highly anticipated sequel to Kalki 2898 AD next month, further building momentum around the ambitious sci-fi project. As per industry reports, he will begin filming from April 10, appearing in a powerful mythological avatar as Karna.

Sources suggest that a major Mahabharata-inspired sequence is being planned, featuring an intense face-off between Karna (Prabhas) and Arjuna, played by Vijay Deverakonda. This high-octane episode is expected to run for nearly 20 minutes and will include several key characters from the storyline.

The sequel, directed by Nag Ashwin, is currently progressing at a brisk pace. Recently, important portions featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were also shot in Hyderabad.

Unlike his role in the first installment, where he played a witty and carefree bounty hunter, Prabhas is said to undergo a major transformation in the sequel, portraying a more intense and emotionally layered character.

Meanwhile, he is balancing multiple big-ticket projects. He has already allocated dates for Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and is also working on Fauji, helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film is a period drama showcasing him as a spirited officer taking on British forces.

With such diverse roles across genres, Prabhas continues to expand his acting range, consciously avoiding repetitive roles and pushing himself into new creative territories.

Ram Charan’s Peddi Likely to Get Postponed

Share

The much-anticipated film Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is likely to be postponed from its originally planned release on April 30. Reports suggest that the makers are considering a more favorable window in May or June to ensure a better final output.

The delay is primarily attributed to pending VFX work for a few key sequences, with the complete footage expected to be ready only by April 26. Additionally, the team recently carried out two reshoots to enhance the film’s overall impact and entertainment value. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, industry insiders believe a postponement is highly probable.

Interestingly, Sukumar is said to be closely supervising crucial action sequences and overseeing the VFX quality. The film is being directed by his former assistant Buchi Babu Sana, and this added involvement is aimed at ensuring top-notch execution.

Ram Charan has reportedly dedicated nearly two years to the project, undergoing a major physical transformation, including a muscular look and long hair, highlighting the scale and commitment behind the film.

Sources indicate that Peddi has shaped up extremely well, and a slight delay could help deliver a more polished cinematic experience. Industry experts feel that a mid-summer release might actually work in the film’s favor, especially with strong anticipation among fans.

This trend isn’t new, as big films like Salaar and Pushpa: The Rise also opted for delays to perfect their VFX and overall quality. With Telugu cinema expanding its global reach, filmmakers are prioritizing high production standards. Meanwhile, the film’s music has already created buzz, with songs like “Chikri Chikri” gaining popularity, and the teaser receiving a positive response, further building excitement ahead of release.

Kiran Abbavaram’s Steady Rise in Tollywood

Share

Kiran Abbavaram is steadily building a strong identity for himself in Telugu cinema. Coming from a non-film background, his journey hasn’t been easy. Breaking into the industry as a lead actor without support is always challenging, but Kiran proved that dedication and patience can make a difference.

He made his debut as a హీరో with Rajavaru Ranigaru, which gave him a decent start. However, it was SR Kalyanamandapam that brought him real recognition and a growing fan base. The film helped him gain visibility and opened up more opportunities in Tollywood.

That said, his career has seen its share of ups and downs. A few of his film choices didn’t work at the box office, slowing his momentum for a while. But instead of stepping back, Kiran Abbavaram stayed persistent. He made a strong comeback with KA, which restored confidence in his career. Though Dil Ruba didn’t meet expectations, he bounced back again with K Ramp, further improving his market and fan following.

Now, his upcoming projects are generating solid buzz. One of the most exciting among them is Chennai Love Story, backed by the team of the hit film Baby and directed by Sai Rajesh. Many in the industry believe this film has the potential to replicate the success of Baby. The presence of actress Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, who enjoys popularity in Tamil, is expected to add further value.

Kiran is also stepping into the OTT space with a web series titled Guvalacheruvu Ghat, directed by Bharat Kamma, known for Dear Comrade. The initial glimpses have received a very positive response, and the series is set for a pan-India release on Amazon Prime Video.

In addition, he has signed an action thriller set in the Rayalaseema backdrop, to be directed by Veera Koganti, a former associate of Sukumar. With multiple promising projects lined up, Kiran Abbavaram seems determined to strengthen his place in the industry step by step.

Sara Arjun on Her Inspiring Bond with Father Raj Arjun

Share

Many people may not be aware that actress Sara Arjun comes from a strong cinematic background. Her father, Raj Arjun, is a respected performer who has worked across multiple film industries including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. He is widely known for his impactful roles in films like Secret Superstar and Thalaivi.

Recently, while promoting her film Dhurandhar, Sara Arjun opened up about her deep bond with her father. She shared that he is not just a parent, but also her biggest mentor and source of inspiration. According to her, much of her understanding of acting and cinema comes from observing him closely—both on film sets and at home.

Sara revealed that Raj Arjun never pressured her to enter films. Instead, he always encouraged her to follow her own path. Even when she began acting at a very young age, he made sure she maintained a balance between her education and career, without any unnecessary pressure.

Their relationship, she says, is built on strong emotional support. Her father feels immensely proud of her achievements, yet also emotional, having witnessed her journey from a child artist to a leading actress.

For Sara Arjun, her father remains her biggest inspiration. She hopes to make him proud through her dedication and hard work. Their shared journey in cinema, she believes, is not just about success, but about growing together—as artists and as a family.

AP High Court Dismisses Amaravati IRR Petitions

Share

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed a series of petitions related to the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case, effectively closing the door on fresh legal challenges in the matter. The petitions were filed by former YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, seeking multiple directions from the court.

Key demands included transferring the investigation to the CBI, cancelling the bail granted to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and moving the case from the ACB court to a special court designated for MPs and MLAs.

The Inner Ring Road case has long been politically sensitive, with earlier allegations claiming that the road alignment was altered to benefit certain individuals. However, these accusations have undergone legal scrutiny over time.

In its ruling, the High Court stated that the petitions lacked merit and dismissed all three pleas. This decision comes as a setback for the YSR Congress Party, which had been pushing for stronger action in the case against N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Peddi Rumors Shake Lenin Release Plans

Share

Rumors about the postponement of Peddi have once again picked up on social media, with the makers maintaining silence so far. This uncertainty has created a sense of doubt within the industry about whether the film will actually hit screens on April 30, prompting other filmmakers to keep their release plans flexible.

Amid this confusion, the team of Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, announced that they will not release the film on May 1 as initially planned. They described this decision as a gesture of goodwill towards Peddi, also mentioning the friendship between Akhil Akkineni and Ram Charan as a factor behind the move. The makers have now locked June 26 as the new release date.

Interestingly, producer Naga Vamsi is among the few who have openly stated that Peddi is still on track for April 30. However, his stance has drawn criticism online, especially amid ongoing speculation about a possible delay.

Some social media users believe that Lenin might have actually been postponed due to production delays, and that the “goodwill” narrative is being used to gain favor with Mega fans. According to this argument, if Peddi eventually gets postponed, Lenin would benefit from additional time for promotions. If goodwill was truly the only reason, critics argue, the film should have stuck to its original May 1 release.

Lenin is a crucial project for Akhil Akkineni. Despite being in the industry for over a decade, he has appeared in only a handful of films and is yet to score a solid commercial success. With backing from Annapurna Studios, the actor is pinning high hopes on this film to turn things around in his career.

Telangana Passes Parents Support Bill

Share

The Telangana Legislative Assembly has passed the Telangana Employees Accountability and Monitoring of Parental Support Bill, a landmark move aimed at protecting elderly parents who are neglected by their children. The proposed law seeks to ensure financial support by allowing salary deductions from both private and public sector employees who fail to take care of their parents.

During the debate, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized that while caring for parents should ideally come from moral responsibility, the government must step in when dependent parents are ignored. The Bill proposes that affected parents can approach the District Collector, who will act as the adjudicating authority. It also includes provisions for setting up a Senior Citizen Commission to handle appeals against such decisions.

However, questions remain about how effectively this law can be implemented. One major concern is whether the deducted salary will directly reach the parents without interference or delays. Ensuring a transparent and foolproof mechanism will be crucial to prevent misuse or bureaucratic hurdles.

Another challenge lies in the implementation at the ground level. District Collectors are already burdened with multiple responsibilities, and adding such cases may further strain the system. Additionally, in Indian society, many parents may hesitate to file complaints against their own children due to emotional and social reasons. Instead of seeking legal recourse, they may choose to silently endure neglect to avoid stigma or family conflict. There is also the fear of retaliation, especially among elderly individuals who may feel vulnerable after losing a spouse.

The situation highlights a broader issue—while laws can be enacted, their success ultimately depends on effective enforcement and social acceptance. A similar example can be seen in reforms introduced by N. T. Rama Rao, who amended property laws in the 1980s to grant equal rights to daughters. Although the Centre later reinforced similar provisions in 2005, many women continue to struggle legally to claim those rights.

In the same way, passing this Bill is only the first step. Its true impact will depend on how well it is implemented and whether it can overcome practical and societal barriers.

Allu Arjun–Atlee Birthday Update Buzz

Share

Expectations are soaring as fans eagerly wait for a special update on Allu Arjun’s birthday on April 8. With the stylish star joining hands with Atlee, the buzz around the project has reached an all-time high, making it one of the most anticipated collaborations right now.

However, there is still some uncertainty about what exactly will be revealed on the big day. Industry reports suggest that while the film’s title and a first-look poster are almost certain, there is no clear confirmation yet about any video content such as a teaser or glimpse.

This has left fans a bit confused and curious. Many were hoping for at least a short concept video or glimpse that introduces the film’s world, especially considering the massive hype surrounding this project. Even a small visual reveal could create a strong impact and set the tone for what’s to come.

At the same time, if the makers are not ready to release any video content, fans feel it would be better to communicate that in advance to manage expectations. Clear communication could avoid unnecessary disappointment on such a significant occasion.

With all eyes now set on April 8, fans are hoping that Atlee and Allu Arjun deliver something memorable and live up to the huge expectations surrounding this exciting project.

Pradeep Ranganathan Teams Up with Yeleti for Telugu Action Thriller

Share

Tamil actor Pradeep Ranganathan is gearing up for his next big venture, and this time he is set to re-enter Telugu cinema with an exciting new project. He will be collaborating with director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, who is known for his intelligent and unconventional storytelling.

Pradeep initially made his mark as a director before successfully transitioning into acting. Over time, he built a strong youth following with his relatable content and energetic screen presence. His recent film Dude turned out to be a solid hit in both Tamil and Telugu, further strengthening his popularity in the Telugu states.

The upcoming film is expected to be an action thriller, a genre that perfectly suits both Pradeep’s style and Yeleti’s narrative strengths. Yeleti, who gained recognition with films like Aithe, is known for crafting unique and thought-provoking stories. Although he hasn’t delivered major commercial hits in recent times, his creativity continues to earn respect within the industry.

The project will be backed by Mythri Movie Makers, one of the leading production houses in Telugu cinema. Their involvement adds significant weight to the film, given their track record of delivering successful projects with top stars. Interestingly, Pradeep has previously collaborated with this banner, and that association yielded positive results, raising expectations for this film.

Another key factor driving interest is Pradeep’s growing success in Telugu. Films like Dragon, Dude, and Love Today have performed well at the box office, helping him connect strongly with Telugu audiences and expand his fan base beyond Tamil cinema.

An official announcement regarding this project is expected soon. Details about the shoot schedule and supporting cast are likely to be revealed in the coming days. For now, the combination of Pradeep Ranganathan, Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, and Mythri Movie Makers has already sparked considerable excitement among fans.

Balakrishna Lines Up Multiple Projects, Directors Race for Next Film

Share

Among senior heroes, Nandamuri Balakrishna is clearly the busiest right now, juggling multiple projects at once. He is currently shooting for a mass action entertainer directed by Gopichand Malineni. While this film is progressing at a brisk pace, discussions about his next project are already creating a buzz in the industry, with fans eagerly waiting for an official announcement.

One of the strongest names in consideration is Vivek Athreya. Reports suggest that a project backed by Mythri Movie Makers is almost locked, although there’s no formal confirmation yet. Apparently, Balakrishna was impressed with the story idea as it offers a fresh and different approach compared to his routine mass entertainers. Given their successful collaboration on Veera Simha Reddy, the banner already shares a solid rapport with the actor.

Another interesting option is Vijay Kanakamedala, who gained recognition with Naandhi. He is said to have pitched a powerful script that impressed Balakrishna. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is ready to bankroll this project, which is expected to be completed quickly with a controlled budget—making it a practical and efficient choice. However, Balakrishna is yet to finalize which project will go on floors first.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors about Harish Shankar being in the race. After Ustaad Bhagat Singh failed to meet expectations, the director is reportedly being extra cautious about his next move. It remains to be seen whether this combination will materialize.

Following the setback of Akhanda 2, Balakrishna is said to be more selective with his scripts. He has reportedly dropped a historical subject and shifted his focus back to a commercial entertainer. Actress Nayanthara is likely to play the female lead, while Dimple Hayathi may appear as the second heroine.

The makers are aiming to release his current film during either Dasara or Diwali this year. If there are delays, the film could be pushed to Sankranti 2027. For now, Balakrishna remains fully focused on completing his ongoing project, while other senior stars are comparatively less busy with just one film each in hand.
