Trisha Hits Back at Parthiban’s Comment

Share

Almost every discussion in Tamil Nadu politics and Tamil cinema lately has been revolving around the speculated relationship between Thalapathy Vijay and actress Trisha, following the news that Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta, has filed for divorce.

The recent public appearance of Vijay and Trisha together at a wedding function further fueled speculation. At the same time, several negative reports have been circulating about the duo, adding to the controversy.

At a recent film awards event, senior Tamil actor Parthiban commented that it would be better if Trisha stayed away from public appearances, implying that her presence was causing issues. This indirect remark was widely interpreted as a reference to the ongoing Vijay-Trisha discussion.

Trisha, however, did not take the comment lightly. Responding indirectly to Parthiban, she stated:
“I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant. A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous—it just makes stupidity louder. Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at.”

Her statement clearly shows her displeasure with Parthiban’s indirect satire, and she did not hold back in giving a firm and measured response.

Share

Tamil star Suriya is reportedly entering an exciting phase in his career, with two major film releases likely to hit theatres within a short gap of just two months. After facing a few setbacks at the box office recently, the actor is now looking to make a strong comeback with these upcoming projects.

The first film in the lineup is Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. The makers are currently planning to release the film on May 1, although discussions regarding the final release date are still ongoing.

Interestingly, reports suggest that two leading OTT platforms have already screened the film and were quite impressed with its content. They are said to be ready to spend a substantial amount to secure the digital streaming rights, and their offers could also play a role in determining the film’s final release schedule.

Soon after Karuppu, Suriya is expected to return with another film titled Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri. The project is presently scheduled for release in July 2026.

If both films arrive as planned, Suriya will have two major releases within a span of just two months. This back-to-back release strategy could be crucial in helping the star regain his box-office momentum and reconnect with audiences across both the Tamil and Telugu markets.

Fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether these films will bring Suriya back to his winning streak at the box office.

Chandrababu Naidu Highlights AP’s Tech Future

Share

N. Chandrababu Naidu made a notable appearance at the prestigious Raisina Dialogue, where he participated in the “In Conversation” session moderated by Samir Saran. Naidu also became the first sitting Chief Minister from South India to speak at the conference, using the global platform to outline his vision for the future of Andhra Pradesh and its potential role in India’s technological and economic transformation.

Responding to questions about technology, Naidu emphasized that technological systems are central not only to the state’s development but also to India’s overall growth. He noted that the IT revolution significantly increased per capita income across the country and highlighted the major role played by the Telugu states in that transformation. He also referred to recent developments, including major investments such as a Google data center and new initiatives in emerging sectors like quantum computing.

Speaking about artificial intelligence, Naidu recalled the early skepticism surrounding the development of the then united Andhra Pradesh. According to him, the transformation of Hyderabad into a major knowledge and technology hub changed that perception. He stated that the future impact of AI will depend largely on how effectively governments and industries adopt and integrate the technology into governance, services, and economic activities.

Naidu also expressed strong confidence that Andhra Pradesh could emerge as the entrepreneurial capital of India’s eastern coast. Reflecting on his earlier tenure, he recalled how the development of Cyberabad played a key role in turning Hyderabad into a global center for pharmaceuticals, technology, and innovation.

He further noted that the new capital city, Amaravati, offers advantages such as better environmental conditions and the potential to host international institutions. Naidu even welcomed the idea of establishing a center of the Observer Research Foundation in Amaravati.

Education, he stressed, will remain a crucial pillar for the state’s long-term growth. Naidu also spoke about the possibility of “reverse brain drain” as India’s technology ecosystem continues to expand. He highlighted investments in green energy and data infrastructure, including a new project being developed in Kurnool in partnership with a German company.

Another key point he raised was the strong global presence of people from Andhra Pradesh. Naidu credited their success to opportunities created over the past three decades, particularly in the software industry. These early opportunities enabled professionals from the region to enter international technology sectors and build strong global networks.

Building on this foundation, Naidu said the state is now moving into new frontiers such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, drone technology, and specialized innovation hubs like Space City and Drone City. Through these initiatives, he suggested that Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself not only as a regional growth engine but also as an active contributor to India’s broader technological and economic ambitions.

Sangeeth Shobhan Makes Honest Confession About Mad Square

Share

Mad emerged as one of the successful youthful entertainers in recent Telugu cinema, quickly gaining a strong fan following. Riding on the film’s success, the makers soon moved ahead with its sequel, Mad Square. However, one of the film’s lead actors recently made an interesting revelation about the sequel.

Actor Sangeeth Shobhan, who played a key role in the first film, shared in a recent interview that if given another chance, he might have approached the sequel differently. Speaking during the promotions of Rakasa, he admitted that the team made Mad Square in a bit of a hurry.

According to Sangeeth, after the success of Mad, the team had gone to Goa to relax and celebrate. During that trip, they casually discussed a few ideas which later turned into the storyline for the sequel. Director Kalyan Shankar eventually pitched the concept to producer Naga Vamsi, who quickly encouraged the team to develop it into a full-fledged film.

Sangeeth explained that while the film is not bad, the decision to make the sequel was somewhat impulsive. He mentioned that although producer Naga Vamsi’s enthusiasm and courage played a major role in bringing the project to life, the team might have taken a different approach if they had more time.

Interestingly, Naga Vamsi himself had earlier acknowledged that the sequel was produced quickly and that the team could have benefited from more time during the development stage. Despite that, Mad Square managed to attract a section of the audience who even liked it more than the original film.

Many fans on social media still discuss the rapid production of the sequel and whether additional time could have improved the film further. Given director Kalyan Shankar’s reputation as a talented writer and filmmaker, there is a belief that the sequel might have turned out even better with more preparation.

Nevertheless, Mad Square performed decently at the box office, successfully capitalizing on the strong popularity and hype created by the first film. The experience may also serve as a valuable lesson for the team moving forward, ensuring that future projects receive the time and planning they deserve.

Revanth Reddy to Inaugurate Allu Cinemas in Hyderabad

Share

A major milestone for the Allu family’s exhibition business is set to take place in Hyderabad, as the much-awaited Allu Cinemas property is gearing up for its launch in Kokapet on March 12, 2026. The new premium theatre is expected to emerge as one of the most advanced cinema screens in the city.

The grand inauguration will be carried out by A. Revanth Reddy, adding political significance to the event. Stylish star Allu Arjun and several members of the Allu family are also expected to attend the ceremony.

Following the formal launch, the theatre will begin technical test runs, during which a few selected films will be screened to ensure that the sound and projection systems function perfectly. One of the films likely to be screened during this testing phase is F1. After these trial screenings, the theatre is expected to have its grand public opening on the festive occasion of Ugadi on March 19.

The event has also drawn attention because of the evolving equation between Allu Arjun and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Their rapport appears to have strengthened in recent months, particularly after the controversies surrounding the release of Pushpa: The Rule, when the government had taken strict measures following a stampede incident during the film’s release phase.

Recently, both were seen sharing a warm moment during the wedding celebrations of Allu Sirish, which sparked discussions among fans and political observers across social media.

Now, with Revanth Reddy set to inaugurate the prestigious Allu Dolby Cinemas in Kokapet, the collaboration between the film industry and the state leadership appears to be entering a more positive phase.
