Bellamkonda Srinivas may not have become a bankable hero yet, but the list of his leading ladies can make even star heroes jealous. After sharing screen space with reigning Tollywood queens Samantha, Tamanna, Rakul Preet and Pooja Hegde, the young hero is likely to romance Kajal Aggarwal next.

Buzz is that Kajal has signed Bellamkonda’s new film to be helmed by debutante Nani. She was reportedly offered a hefty remuneration besides a meaty character, which lured her to sign the film. Makers have reportedly agreed to pay the amount that Kajal demanded as they know that she can enact her role with perfection and also draw audience to theatres.

This untitled film will be Kajal’s next Telugu release after Kalyan Ram’s “MLA”, which is slated to hit screens in March. Kajal had a career resurrecting year in the form of 2017 in which she won box office (Khaidi No.150) as well as critics (Nene Raju Nene Manthri). And, now she is reaping the benefits as both senior and young heroes are evincing keen interest to cast her in their films.

The pre-production work of the Bellamkonda starrer is currently in progress. The film is likely to go on floors in summer.

Mohan Babu much anticipated film ‘Gayatri’ is set for a grand release on Feb 9th. The film amassed massive buzz with trailers and songs. Mohan Babu appears to play a powerful role aka Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdary and Pedarayudu.

His dynamic dialogues are worth a wait. Gayatri will introduce us to hidden talent of Mohan Babu. As per latest grapevine, the versatile actor turned a writer and penned screenplay for the movie.

Gayatri is directed by Madan. Music composed by S Thaman is ruling the charts. Vishnu Manchu and Shriya’s pairing in special roles is further raising curiosity over the film. Nikhila Vimala, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Brahmanandam are also part of this ambitious project.

One look at “Touch Chesi Choodu” proves that how Tollywood is still reeling in the hangover of “Baasha” style stories and flashback narratives. And those types of stories and screenplays are worrying film lovers as to how these directors and writers are cooking only below-par content.

As the title sequence of this Ravi Teja starrer rolled on, we could see names like Story by Vakkantam Vamsi, Screenplay by Deepak Raj and so on. But that makes anyone wonder how come a hyped writer like Vakkantam who is rumoured to be charging 1 crore for a story, has written something so lame and dumb. And that lingers many minds with the doubt, what sort of story he has written for “Naa Peru Surya”

Few interesting comments are being heard in this regard. Other than movies like Kick and Temper, never Vakkantam’s stories sounded new or original if we have to say. But it is the way the director handling the project or the hero of the film carried it, that worked for the films. So with Vakkantam writing and directing Naa Peru Surya, definitely everything will fall on the shoulders of Allu Arjun, in case if the story is pretty normal.

Allu Arjun is one hero who takes any film into his hand completely and makes sure that he runs it from start to finish. Say it Race Gurram, S/o Satyamurthy, Sarrainodu or DJ, those films worked not because of any novelty in the story but due to his of breathing life into cinema. Telugu filmmakers these days have been going gaga over promoting their films in colleges. Visiting colleges, meeting scores of students, interacting with them, pushing their content and asking all of them to watch their movies has become the new trend. This trend caught up very quickly such that every other movie these days is promoting their film in colleges. While medium films have been doing this from a while, star-studded films too following the suit.

Jai Simha pre-release event was held in Vijayawada’s Siddhartha college ground followed by Tholi Prema pre-release event at Bhimavaram’s SRR engineering college. Another mega hero Sai Dharam Tej’s Intteligent pre-release function is also being held in Government’s Art College in Rajahmundry. This is quite easy for makers to pull crowds to college grounds as most of students fill the venues and bring more colour.

Naga Shaurya’s Chalo, Tarun’s Idi Na Love Story, now Sundeep Kishan’s Manasuki Nachindi have visited colleges and promoted their films in colleges. These are only a very few to name besides several others.

Besides giving interviews to various media, TV channels, YouTube channels, websites, FMs, stars have now decided to go into public directly to promote their films. Even the stars from other states (such as Suriya) are visiting theatres post-release and meeting fans one-to-one and boosting revenues.

Looks like, our stars, PRs, producers are leaving no leaf unturned to promote their films and garner more revenues to their films.

These are the days where we don’t see the star cast promoting their film. While it is acceptable in the case of a film like Padmaavat where Deepika, Shahid and Ranvir didn’t promote to the film due to the threats they are facing, but how come the celebs of Agnyaathavasi and Jai Simha will get an exemption?

In the recent times, other than Bhaagamathie Anushka, none of the big stars like Pawan Kalyan and Balayya, or heroines like Keerthi Suresh, Anu Emmanuel, Nayantara, Hari Priya or anyone hasn’t promoted their new releases. Then we haven’t also seen the whole major star-cast of the film sitting and promoting a film.

Coming to upcoming release “Awe!”, hero Nani who happens to be the producer of the movie knows about the value of a promotion. For that reason, he’s aggressively promoting the film will all of his star-cast including Nitya Menon, Kajal Agarwal, Regina Cassandra, Esha and director Prashant. Such collective promotions from the main star cast will surely bring a respect and attention for a movie. That’s why we couldn’t stop appreciating him.

Meanwhile, this film is hitting cinemas on Feb 16th and Nani has already promised a different kind of movie in theatres.

After facing three back to back disasters, a drained yet determined Srinu Vaitla is all set to start the shooting of his new film, starring Ravi Teja in lead role.

The film’s first schedule will commence on 19th of this month in US, where majority of the film will be canned. Ravi Teja will join the team in April. He will complete the shoot of Kalyan Krishna’s film before stepping into the sets of Vaitla’s film.

Tentatively titled, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, the Vaitla-directorial has Ravi Teja essaying three distinct characters. The three looks that he sport will be starkly different from one another. Three heroines will be roped in to pair with each character of Ravi Teja. The names of Kajal and Nivetha Thomas are doing rounds but none of the heroines has yet been finalized.

Touted to be a full length comedy, this new film is the fourth one in the combination of Ravi Teja and Vaitla. Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll.

In the wake of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ plagiarism controversy, which is probably the first time a Telugu biggie received plagiarism charges from outside India, each and every new biggie is cautiously being scrutinized by media, film buffs as well as rumormongers.

Allu Arjun’s “Naa Peru Surya” is the new Telugu biggie that is battling with rumors of plagiarism for past couple of weeks. Presumably, the basis for these rumors is the ‘First Impact’ of NPS, in which Bunny’s character was introduced, a young man with anger management issues joins military.

First, reports came out that the Allu Arjun-starrer is inspired from Hollywood film, ‘Antwone Fisher’ (2002). Quickly taking the damage-avoiding steps, producer Lagadapti Sridhar asserted in an interview that NPS was an original film. He questioned why would they copy from a flop English film?

Not before that rumor faded away, a new speculation has now started doing rounds that writer-director Vakkantham Vamsi drew inspiration from Rajasekhar’s 1993 film, “Aagraham” in which the then ‘Angry Young Man’ played the character of a young man with anger issues, someone who doesn’t tolerate injustice.

Inside info is that, perturbed by the new rumor, the producer of NPS has already called the makers of ‘Aagraham’ and asked them not to pay attention to the speculations. He also assured them that their film was not inspired from Aagraham.

Makers of NPS are reportedly concerned about how many more copy allegations they might have to face as the release date is nearly three months away. The producer argues that one should not make copy allegations after watching just a one minute promo.
