Pic : PM Modi’s funny side with little Prince
The Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his wife Queen Jetsun Pema had lit up the Indian Rashtrapathi Bhavan and PMO on Wednesday, along with their cute little prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who’s got a high approval rating with kids, had a good time with the little prince and it’s the cutest moment on headlines. PM Modi held hands with little Prince, who dressed in the Bhutanese-traditional attire, and offered a ‘Namaskar’ in their style. PM Modi gifted an official football from the FIFA U-17 World Cup to the young prince of Bhutan.
Modi, who had a brief meeting with King and Queen of Bhutan, had showered his funny side with the 11-year old little price.
RGV & His Daughter Fight Over Pawan’s Son’s Name
Enigmatic filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who allegedly targets Pawan Kalyan while claiming he is the biggest fan of the actor, has once again unleashed his witty side as soon as Pawan’s youngest son’s name ‘Mark Shankar Pawanovich’ became official. The kid’s name has led to RGV waging a verbal war with his daughter, Revathy Varma.
Earlier, RGV made a post on FB linking Pawan’s son’s name to the medieval era of history, and said that it is the greatest name he has ever heard in history.
Responding to this post, RGV’s daughter said that she hadn’t understood even a single word of his post. She accused him of using a bunch of complicated words and unrelated historical references to Pawan’s son’s name, and that his post didn’t make any sense at all.
Sharing his daughter’s message on his timeline, RGV answered at his satirical best. Calling Revathy more Pawan Kalyan fan and less his daughter, Varma said that she has very low understanding levels and that’s why she failed to understand his post. He wittily said that he loves Pawan more than her.
Meanwhile, Pawan fans are also fuming at RGV for allegedly making fun of their idol time and again.
Will Her Luck Save His Career?
Next Friday, on November 10, a spate of Telugu films are slated to hit screens, and one among them is ‘C/o Surya’. The film has the interesting combination of a hero, who has been delivering only flops, and a heroine, whose all releases so far have hit bull’s eye at box office. Can this unusual combo score a hit?
C/o Surya stars Sundeep Kishan and Mehreen in lead roles. Ever since ‘Venkatadri Express’, Sundeep Kishan has had around 10 releases but none of them could strike gold at box office. What’s shocking is that, Sundeep failed to score a hit even with a critically acclaimed film like “Maa Nagaram”. It seems good content isn’t enough for him to hit bull’s eye at box office.
On the other hand, all three releases of Mehreen so far – Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gatha, Mahanubhavudu and Raja The Great have become success at box office. Predictably, she is being called the new ‘golden leg’ in Tollywood. She has what Sundeep lacks, ‘luck factor’. We have earlier seen the likes of Samantha, Shruti Haasan and Kajal proving lucky for star heroes. Can Mehreen end Sundeep’s hit drought by casting a lucky spell on his film? We can find it out in 10 more days.
C/o Surya is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by Suseenthiran of ‘Naa Peru Shiva’ fame.
I’m Feeling Like Criminal: Rajasekhar on His Mother’s Death
Actor Rajasekhar turned very emotional over his mother’s death. The grief-stricken Rajasekhar was later caught in a roadside brawl.
When asked about what really happened and why his mother’s demise has affected him so much, Rajasekhar explains, “I am feeling like a criminal. I am guilty that I couldn’t save my mother. My mother complained about pain in the stomach on the day when she died. I spent five minutes’ of crucial time thinking about whether I should give her the same tablet that I had given her the previous day. Had I given her the same tablet on time, she might have been alive today.
Talking about his film Garuda Vega which is going to hit the screens this week, he said he would like to thank his family for the film, he said, “This film is Jeevitha’s gift to me. She had always wanted me to do a film like this.”
2 Point 0 Beating Rajamouli And Kabali
None other than Superstar Rajnikanth went gaga over the way Rajamouli has planned Baahubali and executed it. He came to all praises for the director after he carved such a magnum opus that brought pride to South Indian movies. Here is what now people are talking about this star’s latest film ‘2 Point 0’.
Actually, Rajamouli’s intense marketing ideas worked big time for Baahubali to make huge noise much before release, resulting in mammoth collections. Releasing every single poster for each character, selling merchandise and advertising at unconventional places helped the film better. Treading on the same path, Kabali took promotional plans to next level.
During the release of Kabali, we’ve also seen how an air travel company painted a couple of their planes with Kabali posters. And that worked very well for the film; courtesy is the staggering 300 crores gross the film made despite flop talk. And now, 2 Point 0 is beating both Rajamouli and Kabali’s plans.
From advertising in the big LED screens at India Vs Newzealand T20 match other day to hoardings in Times Square, New York, and Dubai as well, Lyca Productions is taking the film much deeper into audiences. This penetration will sure mint crores for this Shankar marvel, no matter how the talk of the film is.
VH Ready to Die to Stop KCR’s Dream Project
After Arjun Reddy controversy, Congress Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao is back in news. VH this time has made sensational comments on KCR and his dream project of building a new secretariat for Telangana in Secunderabad.
Coming down heavily on KCR, VH stated that he doesn’t let him build a new secretariat. VH further said, “I’m ready to die. But I will not make this happen. KCR is behaving like a dictator. We will not tolerate it.” This is a strong statement coming from a senior leader.
Already several BJP leaders such as Kishan Reddy, Lakshman have strongly protested against KCR’s decision. Even TDP leaders are opposing KCR’s idea to build a new secretariat.
VOZ Missed Out A Brilliant Chance
Vunnadi Okate Zindagi is the latest movie that deals with the friendship between two boys and how it emerges over time. Having misunderstandings and reunion is the core theme of such films and this Ram starrer is no different. But the film has missed its chance to become a ‘classic’ and how? Here goes it.
Among the most cherished friendship films we have ever seen, Prema Desam, Dil Chahta Hai, Ne Sneham and a part of Happy Days top the stands. In Prema Desam, friendship is so touching that even audiences don’t want Tabu to make a choice between Abbas and Vinith. Ne Sneham has the dimension of sacrifice to it and the bonding between Uday Kiran and his friend is top notch. Happy Days also shows how college guys bond each other and do anything for friendship.
But here in Ram’s VOZ directed by Kishore Tirumala, actually the friendship is never deep and audiences never got a feeling of pain or happiness that is caused by Ram and Sri Vishnu duo. Most of the time it is those one-liners that keep on hitting you and before you understand the logic in them, you will be thrown another riddle-like dialogue. On a whole, the friendship is forced on us through dialogues rather than the emotions. If the film got topped with emotions of friendship, then surely it would have entered that classic league.
And for a few, there is only friendship angle, but the deep love angle is missing in the film, as the two heroes don’t show how stronger their love for her is. They just love her, love at first sight, and that’s it. That era is gone already, isn’t it?
