Share

During the pre-release event of “Jai Lava Kusa”, NTR said that he had taken the opinion of two persons before agreeing to do the film and added that he would reveal the two names after the film becomes a hit at box office.

Its been more than a month since the release of the film, but NTR hasn’t yet revealed who the two persons were. Most fans guessed that they could be Rajamouli and VV Vinayak, since these two are very close to NTR and have given huge blockbusters to him.

Now, Kona Venkat, the writer of JLK and a close companion of NTR, has revealed that fans only succeeded fifty percent by guessing the name of Rajamouli correctly but failing to predict the second person, Koratala Siva. While answering a question posed by a follower on social media, Kona made this big revelation.

Over the course of filming ‘Janatha Gagare’, NTR and Koratala became good friends, and that could be the reason why the star hero chose to take the latter’s opinion before take the decision of doing JLK. Rajamouli is the go-to man for NTR for obvious reasons.

Just two films old, Anu Emmanuel has impressed Telugu audiences with her looks and presence in Majnu and Kittu Unnadu Jagratha. But to my surprise, I’m playing his love interest”.

Furthermore, Anu avers, “Pawan Kalyan is a simple person who doesn’t carry his stardom around. I felt amused and scary to meet him on sets and forgot my lines on the first day. But with his jokes and cool attitude, I came to normalcy”. Giving the message straight, she also added, “Both good roles and glamorous roles are my cups of tea. What matters is the director whom I’m working with”.

While the success of those films will strengthen her career in Tollywood, she fortified her presence in Hyderabad by buying a flat here. “Yes, I thought Hyderabad is the coolest place to live and I’ve purchased a flat here” she adds, signing off.

‘Since I Stopped Asking, My Films Are Flopping’

Share

Why would a young hero who started his career with a bang simply end up the last of the race? When the likes of Sharwanand, Nani, Raj Tarun and Sai Dharam Tej are just racing ahead, their contemporary Sandeep Kishan is scoring less these days. Wonder why?

There is a buzz from a long time that Sandeep involves tad bit heavily into the direction and script of a film and that’s why his movies are flopping. Few of films have interesting first half and a poor second half, for which industry people say that latter is taken care by the hero, resulting in a poor outcome. What has the youngster to say about these films?

“I don’t involve in script or direction. I just ask questions and express my opinions. I will never involve in the shot division or make style. But when a scene told to me gets changed after the script comes to set, why should I stop myself asking about it?” avers Sandeep Kishan, giving a clarity.

In contrast, he stated that his lack of involvement these days is slowing down his career. “From Nakshatram to many other films, I know they are flops the day I saw the trailer or first copy in the editing room. From last three years, I stopped asking directors any questions. Since then, my films are flopping too. What should I do now?” he shots back.

For now, he has pinned hopes on the movie C/o Surya, which is carved by talented Suseenthran.

After quitting TDP, Telangana Senior leader A Revanth Reddy has faced first big hurdle from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government. Revanth was denied permission to hold a meeting at Jala Vihar on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad on Monday.

Revanth called a meeting with his supporters to discuss his future political plans and share his views with media personnel at Jala Vihar. Since Assembly Session was going on, police informed Revanth that meetings and gatherings are prohibited five km around the periphery of Assembly premises.

As there is no alternative, Revanth shifted the meeting venue to his residence in Jubilee Hills. Media is making elaborate arrangements to cover Revanth’s meeting live as Telugu people in two Telugu states are eager to watch political developments taking place in Telangana.

Mahesh – Rajamouli: Target 2020?

Share

Both superstar Mahesh Babu and director Rajamouli have confirmed that they would team up for a film in near future. The million dollar question is, when is it going to be? Well, going by the commitments of these two, the project won’t materialize before 2020.

Mahesh is currently busy with the shooting of “Bharat Ane Nenu”. His next film, currently being referred as Mahesh25 will go on floors early next year, to be directed by Vamsi Paidipally. For Mahesh26, the superstar will team up with ‘wizard of words’, Trivikam, and this film is expected to go on floors towards the end of next year. Later, Mahesh has reportedly given his nod to mass director Boyapati Sreenu for Mahesh 27. This film is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2018 and release in 2019. So, Mahesh’s film with Rajamouli may materialize only towards the end of 2019.

Rajamouli in the meanwhile will complete his next film, a social drama, and then he will move on to Mahesh’s project. If we consider the time this auteur takes to finalize subject, complete pre-production, shoot, promote and release his films, he would take around two years for the release of just one film.

And, by the time he completes the pre-production of Mahesh’s project, we will be in 2020 first half, in all probability, and Mahesh can wrap up another film, Mahesh28 too, by the time Rajamouli gets ready to take their film onto floors.

We have expect Mahesh to have at least 4 and probably 5 releases before he commences shooting for Rajamouli’s film, likely in 2020.

Rahul’s dog ‘declares’ it Tweets for him

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took on his detractors who have been wondering as to whether his tweets are his own, through a video of his pet dog.

People have been asking who tweets for this guy (Rahul Gandhi). I’m coming clean, it is me Pidi… I’m way cooler than him, read the post which shows a video of Pidi (the dog) doing some antics and gobbling a biscuit after balancing it on his muzzle.

“Look what I can do with a tweet… oops… treat,” says the tweet.

Of late, Rahul Gandhi’s tweets have grabbed much attention for their humour and satire — which sceptics say is very unlike the Gandhi scion. Also, there has been a sudden rise in retweets and the number of his followers.

His Twitter handle got more than one million new followers between July and September this year, according to reports.

Will Mahesh do one more with them?

Share

For Superstar Mahesh Babu, Dookudu is one special film in his career and so is 14 Reels Entertainment. He never hesitated to call it his ‘home banner’ and following the success of Dookudu, Mahesh Babu did 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu for 14 Reels but both the projects were disasters at box-office.

After tasting two big failures, the 14 Reels banner produced a medium-budget film Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha and co-produced Legend with Varaahi. But, the 14 Reels banner is said to have taken a huge beating as their last production LIE failed miserably at box-office. So, now they are in want of a success which believe can be achieved with Mahesh Babu only.

After Aagadu, Mahesh promised to do one more film for the production house but his other commitments did not permit him to do. Currently, producers Gopichand, Ram and Anil are scouting for a fresh script and young filmmaker in an attempt to taste the success again. Also, few reports has it that Mahesh Babu will not be taking any remuneration for this project – instead he will get profit share from the makers!

#2Point0 Troubles Mahesh, Charan, Bunny?

Share

With the recent audio event in Dubai, the makers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘2 Point 0’ have sent alert signals to all other movie makers in India so that no film is scheduled prior or after its release. But, the latest we hear from Kollywood sources is that the science fiction film has been moved to summer from the previously announced date (25th January). And that is why Akshay Kumar, antagonist in 2Point0, had released the posted of his next Bollywood outing ‘Pad Man’ and announced release date of the film as ’26th January’.

Given the reports that 2Point0 could see its light on 13 April-2018 (Tamil new year), it’s now a big sigh of relief for all Pongal releases but a big worry for summer-scheduled-films. Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam1985, Mahesh’s ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Naa Peru Surya’ are expected to hit cinemas around the same time in summer next year. Apart from 2 Point 0, Rajinikanth’s other film Kaala was also announced for April release but it may now see a change in its release date.

Neither Shankar nor Lyca Productions have officialized this news, but it’s matter of big concern for Telugu filmmakers as well. In 2010, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Khaleja’ couldn’t stand opposite Rajinikanth’s Enthiran and the film ran with houseful boards in almost all the theatres of AP for 4-5 weeks. We all know what Rajamouli’s Baahubali has achieved on Indian screen and Rajini’s 2 Point 0 is being compared to it in all the aspects – particularly magnitude and making.

With music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Nirav Shah, the film has Amy Jackson playing the female lead role. The principal photography of the film has already been finished but this delay is majorly due to enormous visual effects work.
