Court Orders Theatrical Release First for Bhool Chuk Maaf
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi star in the upcoming Hindi film Bhool Chuk Maaf. According to sources, the court has now delivered its verdict, directing the producers to release the film in theatres first. Following a two-week theatrical window, the film will then premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The theatrical release is scheduled for the 23rd of this month.
Earlier, Maddock Films—the production house behind the movie—argued that PVR Inox had no authority over the release strategy. On the other hand, PVR Inox claimed to have invested in the film’s marketing and insisted that the film be released in cinemas before heading to streaming platforms.
