The Government of India has empowered the Indian Army to take decisive action against terrorism and its enablers, marking the core objective of the ongoing Operation Sindoor. In a bold and assertive move, the Indian Army has intensified its strikes against terror groups and air defence systems across the border in Pakistan.

Addressing the nation for the first time since the commencement of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear that the Indian Armed Forces have been granted full operational freedom to dismantle terrorism at its roots.

Condemning the Pahalgam terror attack as an act of “barbarism,” Modi emphasized that both Pakistan and the global community are witnessing the formidable strength of India’s military. On the topic of Pakistan’s nuclear threat, the Prime Minister remained unfazed, stating, “Nuclear blackmail will no longer be tolerated. The Indian Army is well-prepared to neutralize such barbaric threats.”

He asserted that Pakistan has been left rattled and directionless by the Indian Army’s relentless offensive. Facing mounting pressure, Pakistan has now turned to international players in an attempt to seek mediation with India.

Significantly, Modi revealed that on May 10, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) reached out to the Indian counterpart, pledging to refrain from further escalation or terror activities. India acknowledged this communication, given that a major portion of Pakistan-backed terrorism has already been dismantled by the Army’s operations.

Concluding his address, Modi stated, “Operation Sindoor is India’s definitive response to terrorism. This decisive and proactive stance will be the new normal moving forward.”
