This Friday we are going to witness Samantha on the silver screen yet again through her special role in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 movie. Like it is already revealed, she’s going to play the role of a lawyer named Amrutha who will be fighting for a special case. But the role has more than it could be seen now.

Giving some hints about her character inside this Omkar directorial which features Nagarjuna as the leading man, she gave some stunning spoilers. Though the movie unit asked her not to reveal anything, Samantha stated that she will be representing about a recent ‘leaks’ issue that rocked film industry. ‘What happens when such leaks occur? How a girl gets tormented when people watch that particular clip, and when someone circulates the video clip. My character will be representing the pain and emotions felt by those girls who got tangled in that ‘leaks’ scandal’, said Samantha, giving enough information about what is to come.

In a way, Samantha’s hints indicate that she’s taking a jibe at recent #SuchiLeaks scandal that shooked Tamil film industry. While many of the video clippings leaked through that twitter handle are fake, and others are just a hoax, still many actresses have felt the pain including Samantha’s singer friend Chinmayi Sripada. Whether Samantha is just battling for #SuchiLeaks victims and or she’s playing herself a victim is something we have to find out in theatres.

However, Samantha says, ‘When there is Vennela Kishore and Praveen in a film, definitely it is not a message-oriented movie we made, but it will touch your hearts’ signing off.

Actress Anushka Shetty, who hasn’t yet signed a new film post the thundering success of ‘Baahubali 2’, has reportedly given her nod for senior hero Venkatesh’s new film.

Venky will be next seen in a film to be directed by Teja. As the director was looking for a top actress to play a matured character opposite Venky, who reportedly essays the role of a professor in the film, he couldn’t think of a better option than Anushka. And, the ‘Baahubali’ actress has reportedly given her nod when approached.

Anushka was earlier considered to play the leading lady in both Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’ and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’. The actress however couldn’t be a part of either of the two films allegedly owing to her weight issues. Her plump look however may not be a deterrent for Venky’s film as she suits perfectly opposite the senior hero.

This upcoming Teja directorial will be the third film starring Venky and Anushka after ‘Chinthakayala Ravi’ and ‘Nagavalli’. As both the films were flops, it has to be seen whether Teja can make them a hit combo in the third attempt.

There have been speculations that Samantha dominates Nagarjuna in Raju Gari Gadhi 2. Responding to these, Nag replied in a quite gentle way. “I’m a big fan of Samantha. After watching Ye Maya Chesava, I have called Samantha and appreciated her for her performance.”

“Every actor has to dominate in a film and do justice to the role. Only then everyone else feel competitive and work better. I’m glad to hear about Samantha’s domination in the film.”

Samantha added that she is impressed with the script and it made her choose the role.

Crazy director Puri Jagannath has just recently taken his new film starring his son Akash onto floors. Interestingly, he himself is bankrolling the film under his ‘Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies’ banner. Rumors are spread in film circles that the star director is pumping in the money amassed from ‘Paisa Vasool’ on his son’s film.

Puri’s last directorial was ‘Paisa Vasool’ starring Balakrishna Nandamuri. For this film, Puri reportedly didn’t take any remuneration and sealed a ‘package deal’ with the producer, according to which he was given Rs 30 Cr to wrap up the film.

The director has reportedly pocketed no less than Rs 10 Cr after deducting all expenses including remunerations of actors and technicians. For that matter, Puri had struck a similar deal to launch a producer’s kin in his penultimate film, ‘Rogue’, and taken home Rs 10+ Cr, say reports.

The director is now reportedly investing the money earned from those ‘package deals’ on his son’s film, ‘Mehbooba’. The film’s shooting recently commenced in Himachal Pradesh. Nithin’s ‘Heart Attack’ was the last film that Puri produced.

Ever since Samantha got married to longtime beau Naga Chaitanya, there is a festive mood in Tollywood. Many felt happy for the newly married couple, looking at how they got married twice as per two religious customs and gave an inspiration to many others out there. The horror comedy is all set to hit screens tomorrow, on Oct 13. The film was made on tight budget and it has reportedly landed the producer in safe zone even before release, thanks to a huge satellite deal and decent returns from theatrical and digital rights. The producer is reportedly releasing the film in a few key areas in partnership with local distributors as he has immense confidence on the output.

‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ is riding high on several factors – the tag of sequel to successful ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’, Nagarjuna-Samantha factor, Nag’s first attempt at Mentalist character and Sam’s Ghost act, the viable ‘horror comedy’ genre etc. Its been two weeks since the release of a biggie, and audience are craving for an entertaining film. Considering that only Sharwanand’s ‘Mahanubhavudu’ is currently drawing substantial crowds to theatres, there won’t be any problem in procuring theatres. The Diwali festive season is another advantage.

Also starring seducing diva Seerat Kapoor, the film is a joint production venture of PVP cinema and Matinee Entertainment. The two banners had earlier co-produced hit films – Kshanam and Ghazi.
