4 Major Losses To Shilpa Brothers
Silpa brothers decision to join beleaguered YSR Congress party had come as a shock to many including his own followers. And proving that again, TDP got a substantial majority of over 27,000 votes against Silpa Mohan Reddy. This by-poll result has incurred four major losses to Silpa family. Below are the four big losses.
Lost MLA To Bhuma
Silpa Mohan Reddy is undoubtedly one of the senior most leaders in Kurnool district politics. And his defeat in the hands of a newcomer like Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy is certainly a major setback to an experienced politician like him. If it is not enough, he has lost to Bhuma family once again in the five years term. In 2014, Silpa Mohan Reddy lost to then YSRCP candidate Bhuma Nagi Reddy. And now in by-poll, he has lost to Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy.
Lost Kurnool District President post
By switching to YSR Congress party, Silpa Mohan Reddy has lost a respectable post of TDP’s Kurnool district president that has good power of deciding the district politics given that the party is in ruling and nearly two more years left in the power. Had he remained in TDP, he would have earned more benefits and respect.
Lost MLC seat
Silpa Mohan Reddy has even roped in his brother Silpa Chakrapani and this is considered as a major blunder. Chakrapani had resigned his MLC seat and joined YSRCP only for the sake of his brother Mohan Reddy. MLC is a nominated post yet it has good benefits.
Lost Deputy Chairman post
In fact, Silpa Chakrapani has got an assurance of being elevated to Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council which is certainly a responsible and respectable position. Everything was confirmed, yet, Silpa Chakrapani had given up this in order to support his brother who is contesting from YSRCP in the by-poll.
PS : These four losses to Silpa family were easily avoidable. Had Silpa brothers remained in TDP, certainly, they would have got much better, bigger chances for sure. Apart from this, huge money spent by Silpa brothers to win polls is also major financial loss.
Baba In Jail: Actress Restricted To Hotel Room
After Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been announced convicted, the situations turned worse across Punjab and Haryana. Considering the violence and the current situations, 144 section has been imposed and several film shoots have been cancelled.
Beautiful heroine Alia Bhatt has been shooting for her next film Raazi in and around Patiala from some time. The movie’s director Meghna Gulzar revealed that the shoot has been planned in Patiala till September 10th and the next schedule has been planned in Chandigarh.

200 Indian Students Stuck in Houston : Hurricane Harvey
In what can be highly disturbing news, at least 200 Indian students are stuck in Houston as Hurricane Harvey wreaked a major havoc in Houston, United States. 200 Indian students are stuck in neck deep water at the University of Houston after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston badly. While many students are marooned due to the storm, a few are even hospitalized. Two students Shalini and Nikhil Bhatia are said to be in ICU. Their relatives of them are being rushed to Houston. Rescue and relief operations are underway to deliver food and other necessary items to the students.
Responding on the situation, External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday evening said that she had been informed about the situation by the Consulate General of India in Houston and assured that the efforts were being made to deliver food.
Meanwhile, the Indian community in the US is pulling out all stops in reaching out to the victims of the hurricane and help them. An Indian living in Houston, Kishore Ramaraju who belongs to Nalgonda in Telangana, shared that help was pouring in from every member of the Indian community living in Houston.
Ravi Shankar, who is the president of Indian graduate students organization at the University of Houston, said they have been trying to help as much as possible and were doing their best. Ravi Shankar said the university does have hotels which are ready to give food but without boats it was impossible to provide any kind of relief to them.
The Hyderabad restaurant in woodlands has taken initiative and come forward to provide free food to those affected by this storm.
Yes, Spent 1500 Crore in Nandyal: Bhuma Akhila
AP Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, who had challenged that she would take political sanyas if her brother Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy loses in the Nandyal by-election, has gave a befitting reply to rivals from YSRCP. As TDP got a thumping majority of 27,496 votes and gave deafening defeat to YSRCP, opposition leaders alleged that TDP spent 200 crores of money in the by-election and won by luring voters with money.
Responding to all these allegations, Akhila Priya gave it back in her own way. “Yes, we did spend Rs 1500 Crore in Nandyal. And we spent all for the development. Government had to spend huge money for various developmental works in Nandyal as earlier leaders like Shilpa have done nothing to Nandyal and Kurnool. Hence, government had to spend so much on the development,” Akhila Priya said.
Akhila Priya has refrained from making ‘harsh’ comments on opposition leaders and won the hearts with her witty remarks. While sulking YSRCP continued their verbal attack on Chandrababu Naidu and Bhuma family, TDP made a decent show and once again proved their decency.
‘If Married Women Aren’t Sexy, Kids Won’t Come’

If all the married women don’t look hot to their husbands, how come kids are coming out? So, marriage got nothing to do with acting career” she stressed, hinting that she will continue to act, no matter what her marital status is.

Mass Raja Completely Blind Or Half Blind??
These days our protagonists are depending on various physical and mental defects to become a hero on silver screen. Memory loss patients, anger-struck guys, and blind persons are the characteristics even our big heroes are loving to portray. But there is a thing about playing a blind person role on silver screen, and how audiences received those films.
Often we see some top directors carving out comedy scenes out of blind persons. Recently Raj Tarun being a hero played himself blind in Andhagadu but the movie hasn’t done well. In the past, some films like Sirivennela, Preminchu, and Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi received accolades from the audiences though the main leads are blind in the movie, why such result is not repeating now? As Mass Raja Raviteja is also coming up with a blind person’s role in Raja The Great movie, here comes an interesting discussion.
Actually, in those films like Sirivennela and Preminchu, the protagonists are completely blind through the film. There is no cinematic twist to the story by suddenly making the lead character get back eyes and behave quite dramatically. Audiences completely loved those characters and showered love. But recent films like Andhagadu have their heroes only half-blind, we mean, they are blind for the first half while in the second half they get eyes and showcase heroism. That led to utter disbelief and lack of conviction as well, while the result spoke for itself.
Even in a recent Hollywood hit like ‘Don’t Breathe’, the lead character though a villain of sorts, is totally blind, and throughout the film, he’s that way. With Raja The Great touted to be an inspiration from that flick, we have to see if Raviteja will be completely blind or only blind for half of the film. Then we have to see if the sentiment also works or not.
Dera Baba Gets 20 Years Jail For 2 Rapes
Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is convicted of raping two women devotees, has been sentenced for 10 years of rigorous jail term in each rape case he’s charged for -taking the total jail term to 20 years. According to the judgement, Gurmeet Singh will have to serve both the sentences continuously, which means that he will remain in jail till 2037. In 2002 rape case, where two women devotees accused Gurmeet of raping them in his secret chamber, CBI judge Jagdeep Singh has pronounced the quantum of sentence in the case. The Dera baba also slapped with a fine of Rs15 lakh in each rape case i.e the self-claimed god-man will have to pay Rs 30 lakh penalty.
According to several TV reports, the teary-eyed Ram Rahim has pleaded for leniency in the punishment. But, the CBI judge has suspended his request. While CBI had sought life term for Ram Rahim, the defense asked for a lighter sentence. Usually, the minimal punishment for rape is 7 years but Baba Gurmeet has been sentenced for 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
After undergoing a thorough medical examination inside the Sunaria jail, Ram Rahim Singh will be allotted a cell and asked to switch into prison uniform. This time, Haryana state government has taken all necessary precautions and warned of strict action if anyone tries to disturb the peace in state

After participating in the audio success of Paisa Vasool, Balakrishna has attended the after-party function where the whole unit of Paisa Vasool attended.
