Here comes the Mega announcement that all mega fans have been waiting for ever since the release of Khaidi No.150.

The title logo of Megastar’s 151st film, a biopic on freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy will be unveiled on the eve of the actor’s upcoming birthday, on 22nd August. The day will also put all the rumors regarding the film’s title to rest. Key announcements on the shooting commencement date, cast and crew etc. may also be made on the special eve.

Megastar is currently prepping up to play the part of Uyyalawada. Ram Charan will produce the film with Surender Reddy helming it. Amitabh Bachchan is on board to essay a crucial role in the historical film.

Kannada actor Guru Jaggesh who happened to be the son of an actor turned politician Jaggesh has been stabbed today morning at RT Nagar in Bengaluru.

The actor went to drop his children school during which he noticed a biker speeding on the road. Guru Jaggesh questioned him and asked him to follow the speed limits, as it happened to be a school zone.

The biker has been irritated after which he stabbed Guru Jaggesh with a knife in his thighs. Guru Jaggesh has been rushed to the hospital by the locals and a complaint has been registered.

Guru Jaggesh’s father Jaggesh issued a statement about the incident calling it unfortunate. Guru Jaggesh  was last seen in Mass Leader.

Jr NTR faced lot of heat after he signed his first ever television show Bigg Boss. But the actor proved everyone wrong and Bigg Boss emerged as a massive hit. The TRPs of the recent weeks reveals things. The actor has been shooting for his next outing Jai Lava Kusa and Bigg Boss without breaks. Juggling between these sets, the actor took no break from the past one month.

There are rumors that the shoot of Jai Lava Kusa has been delayed because of Bigg Boss and the film will not hit the screens on time. Trashing all the rumors, NTR Arts revealed that Jai Lava Kusa will hit the screens on September 21st as planned. Catherine Tresa has been signing back to back Telugu films. She has been approached for the roles of second heroine in many of her recent movies.

When asked, Catherine revealed that she is quite focused on her character and its importance rather than about first or second heroine in the movie. She reminded about MLA role in Sarrainodu which received exceptional response from the audience.

When quizzed about smoking and bikini scenes, she said “It was needed to be showcased in a bikini in Gautam Nanda after which I decided to do it. I even lost enough weight and I have a bikini toned body now. But I won’t wear for fun”

About cigarette smoking, she says, “I don’t do it in real life but my character in Nene Raju Nene Mantri demanded it. I smoked cigarettes for the film and I was not comfortable during the shoot”, she concluded.

Malayali actress Hima Shankar Sheematty, who had recently hit headlines with her revelations about the ‘Bed with Acting’ package in the film industry, said that she has been targeted on social media for her comments.

During the promotions of her upcoming film, Sheematty revealed that her revelations might even end her career. ‘I have been receiving threatening and derogatory messages even since I revealed about the prevalent ‘casting couch’. This may even end my career, but I want to tell this to everyone that acting is a profession and not a ‘business based on women’s flesh.’ she reportedly said.

A few days ago, Hima opened up about the ‘package’ offers she had received at the beginning of her career. ‘When I asked them to explain what the ‘package’ means, they told me that it’s the ‘Bed with Acting’ (sexual favors in lieu of film offers) package. I was furious but I couldn’t do anything except vehemently rejecting them,’ she revealed.

Hima added that she stopped receiving such package offers after a while as she didn’t surrender to them. She asked the upcoming actresses to be strong and not succumb to sexual favors being sought by filmmakers.

Rana’s ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ has led the pack by putting up commendable performance in multiplexes as well as single screens. Excellent performances, engaging narration and decent reviews helped the Rana starrer to emerge a clear winner among the three films in contention. This Teja directorial is leading in the US as well. NRNM is on its way to become the biggest solo hit of Rana.

Jaya Janaki Nayaka opened almost on par with NRNM on Day 1 but fell behind the latter over the weekend. As expected, the Boyapati directorial has attracted B,C centre audiences big time but the same can’t be said about A centres. JJN has however collected decent revenue over the first weekend and has secured second place among the three. Considering the huge budget splurged on making, the film has to hold well until anther two weeks at least to go anywhere near break even status.

Nithin’s LIE on the other hand didn’t get the opening it deserved. The film was praised for its interesting premise, stylish presentation and thrilling execution but it somehow failed to connect to mass audiences. Competition with two biggies has also reportedly dented the film’s revenue at box office, placing it at third place this weekend. Relentless makers have now intensified the promotions by planning success tours. Considering that huge budget was invested on this stylish action thriller, the film has a mountain to climb. We need to wait for a few more days to see how well LIE sustains in theatres.
