Did Teja Steal Story of NRNM?

Share

Sensational director Teja has finally scored a hit with ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, after several years. While he is being flooded with accolades for penning a power-packed story and presenting it in a engaging and emotional manner, a rumor is slowly spreading in film circles that he hijacked the film’s story from a budding writer.

Going by the emerging reports in film circles, the story of NRNM was penned by a small-time writer, Thimma Reddy. Impressed by his narration, Teja reportedly offered him story credit and decent remuneration, and kept him as his associate until he weaved the bound script. ‘Once the film went on floors with Rana in lead, Teja sidelined Reddy from the project and even didn’t give him credit for story,’ say reports.

We have witnessed people, especially writers and director, involved in a project fighting for credit once their film succeeds. So far, no such thing happened in the case of Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The budding writer in news, Thmma Reddy, who is being cited as the original writer of the film, hasn’t yet come out seeking credit for his work.

So, is Teja stealing story credit just a rumor? Are the alleged jealous people in industry trying to malign the image of Teja as he scored a hit? Or has Teja really ditched the original writer and taken credit, just like most directors do these days? Teja should respond to put a full stop to these detrimental reports.

Guess The Latest Rumour About Anjali…

Share

Usually, when there is talk about a rumour involving a heroine, then it is concluded that it is regarding an affair.

People start wondering as to who her secret lover is or they try to figure out who the hero is. But heroine Anjali’s is a different story altogether. The latest rumour involving her is totally novel.

Well, the rumour is about her joining politics. Yes, this is the latest from Kollywood. But Tamil heroines joining politics is nothing new.

Earlier, heroines like Khusboo joined political parties. So, it is being said that Anjali will soon enter politics. And if Rajinikanth will float a political party, then chances are high that Anjali will join his party.

In fact, the rumour started with one of the statements she made during the promotion of her latest Tamil film Balloon.

During the show, Anjali mentioned that she liked politics and that she followed all developments closely. She also revealed that she recently visited the Parliament.

Since then, rumours have been rife in Tamil Nadu about her political entry. However, when contacted, Anjali said she had no plans of joining politics in near future.

These Three Films Became Tourism Videos

Share

Last Friday, we have seen three releases hitting cinemas including Nene Raju Nene Mantri, LIE and Jaya Janaki Nayaka. These three movies got a mixed talk at the box office, but due to the Krishnashtami and Independence Day holidays falling on Monday and Tuesday respectively, they are going to rake in huge moolah at the box office.

While the content of these films is intriguing and interesting, there is another aspect the films are being discussed for. That’s related to tourism as these three films promoted some interesting places through their movies. Have a look at them.

Firstly Nene Raju Nene Mantri promoted Andhra Pradesh tourism quite well as the scenes shot at some temples in Rayalaseema got huge attention. NRNM was filmed at Yagani, Mahanandi and Banaganapalli temples and now people want to go and visit those places for real. And then we have Jaya Janaki Nayaka also promoting AP tourism with a fight sequence. There is this place called Hamsala Devi where Krishna river meets the Bay of Bengal, and Boyapati has shot an action sequence on this island. People are getting kicked up to find out how to reach this place from Vijayawada.

Coming to LIE, locations like Trump Towers and other places in Chicago, USA are stunning everyone. At the same time, the desert areas in Mojave where the climax was shot and Ely town that became a backdrop for Miss Sunshine song, are also wondering even those NRIs who are staying in the USA as they never got to have visited them.

In that way, these three movies became tourism promotional videos right now other than the entertainment they have provided.

Ram Charan Brings Seas Shore to Hyderabad

Share

‘Hyderabad lo Samudram enduku ledu’.. ‘Hyderabad lo samudram set veddam sir’.. are some interesting funny and curious one-liners we have heard in many yesteryear movies. Way back in the 90s, this was always an interesting question. But it is becoming truth now.

An ongoing schedule of Rangasthalam 1985 is going on at a brisk pace with all the leading cast and crew of the film taking part in it. Already news is known that at a specially erected village set that has cost more than 5 crores in Hyderabad, Ram Charan and Samantha are shooting now. There is another speciality for this set.

The set is being made sure that it looks a coastal village where the Godavari meets the sea. And this fisherman’s village will play huge backbone in narrating the story. There is neither sea nor river in Hyderabad to create such atmosphere, but the seashore and water will be added with the support of visual effects, a little birdie says.

What sounded like a joke a decade ago, is no more a joke now. We can surely bring sea and seashore, and a good beach to Hyderabad with the support of visual effects. We have to wait for the visuals of Rangasthalam 1985 to find out how it actually looks.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this mega movie is going to hit cinemas for Sankranthi 2018.

Nayanthara Surprises Everyone!

Share

As much as she is hailed by movie lovers as well as the industry people as the ‘Lady Superstar’ for having the ability to make films work at box office just with her sheer screen presence, she is equally infamous for not promoting her films. It is known that Nayan has been skipping her films’ promotions ever since she attained stardom, notwithstanding the requests from her producers.

It seems that Nayan has now made a very rare exception for her upcoming film ‘Aramm’. To the surprise of everyone, Nayan has the other day shot for a promotional program for ‘Aramm’, and the program will be aired on a leading Tamil TV channel on the special occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi festival.

Nayan hasn’t taken part in any of her previous films’ promotions in a long ling time. ‘Aramm’ must be a special and important film for her. The failure of her last few films could be another reason for Nayan putting in efforts to promote this new film of hers.

Nayanthara will be seen as a powerful District Collector in ‘Aramm’. The film’s promos have already created decent buzz in trade circles and among audiences. With Nayanthara’s special promotions, the film will surely receive the much needed hype. ‘Aramm’ is slated to hit screens next month.

Pakistan Hoists Flag Taller Than The Tricolour On Wagah Border

Share

Pakistan on its 70th Independence Day hoisted what it claimed the tallest flag in South Asia. The flag which is 120 by 180 feet was installed on a 400 feet pole was hoisted by Pakistan Army Chief on Wagah-Attari border.

The tallest flag was planned after India hoisted a flag at the height of 360 feet last year. Pakistan authorities said it was eighth tallest flag in the world. India’s flag was torn apart due to strong winds at least four times since its hoisting but it has planned again to hoist the flag after Pakistan hoisted its flag.

“We will foil the nefarious designs of anyone, who will try to cast an evil eye on Pakistan,” he said in an address at Wagah border on Sunday-Monday midnight.

The Army Chief said that Pakistan’s flag was symbol of its dignity. He lauded and congratulated Pakistan Rangers for arranging a superb flag hoisting ceremony at the Wagah Border.

However the fear that strong winds will tear apart the flag remains there after India replaced four flags since last year after strong winds tore it apart. Since March this year the flag was not hoisted for lack of budget. But for this Independence Day celebrations Indian authorities have planned to hoist it again.

Wagah border evening ceremony is a popular sight to visitors from both countries where military guards of both countries hoist and later down their flags in an apparent tit for tat reactions. The military guards usually having big traditional ‘Punjab’ moustaches cross each other by banging their feet on the ground.

At least 17 Killed In Attack On Restaurant In Burkina Faso

Share

Suspected Islamic extremists opened fire at a Turkish restaurant in the capital of Burkina Faso late on Sunday, killing at least 17 people in the second such attack on a restaurant popular with foreigners in the last two years.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the violence, which continued into the early hours on Monday. Gunfire could be heard almost seven hours after the attack began.

Communication Minister Remi Dandjinou told journalists that at least 17 people were dead and eight others wounded, according to a provisional toll. The victims came from several different nationalities, he said. Among the dead was at least one French national.

Security forces arrived at the scene with armoured vehicles after reports of shots fired near Aziz Istanbul, an upscale restaurant in Ouagadougou. The attack brought back painful memories of the January 2016 attack at another cafe that left 30 people dead.

Police Capt. Guy Ye said three or four assailants had arrived at the Aziz Istanbul restaurant on motorcycles, and then began shooting randomly at the crowds dining on Sunday evening.

Burkina Faso, a landlocked nation in West Africa, is one of the poorest countries in the world. It shares a northern border with Mali, which has long battled Islamic extremists.

The three attackers in the 2016 massacre were of foreign origin, according to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, which claimed responsibility in the aftermath along with the jihadist group known as Al Mourabitoun. But the terror threat in Burkina Faso is increasingly home-grown, experts say.

The northern border region is now the home of a local preacher, Ibrahim Malam Dicko, who radicalised and has claimed recent deadly attacks against troops and civilians. His association, Ansarul Islam, is now considered a terrorist group by Burkina Faso’s government.

New LG V30 Teaser Out: Flagship Coming With UX 6.0, Floating Display Bar, Advanced Security, Graphy Camera And More

Share

Having already disclosed LG V30’s display and primary camera details, the South Korean smartphone-maker on Monday has revealed upcoming flagship device’s new UX 6.0 interface and security features.

LG’s new UX v6.0 has been created with V30’s FullVision Display to offer immersive viewing experience. It also gives several useful shortcuts and features to make the best use of the camera’s advanced dual-lens capabilities.

For instance, Graphy, which can be accessed in the camera’s Manual Mode, help device owners to capture quality professional shots and offers metadata presets – such as white balance, shutter speed, aperture and ISO.

It also offers different shooting modes such as auto, grid shot, snap shot and match shot are conveniently grouped under one menu for ease of selection. GIFs can be quickly created in the Gallery menu while the Create Movie option allows for the creation of movie using photos and/or video files which can then be edited in the included Quick Video Editor.

One of the highlights of the LG V20 was its dedicated always-on secondary screen on top to display messages and other important notification, but this time the company has ditched it in the upcoming V30 series in favour for new semi-transparent “Floating Bar” on the V30. It allows for quick access to frequently used functions and can be dragged completely off the FullVision display when not needed. When powered off, the Always-on Display (AOD) can be now customised, as well. The AOD now not only shows the clock, it can also be set to display Quick Tools, Music Player or a personal photograph as well.

LG has also confirmed that V30 will be an advanced security feature and comes packed with face-scanner for unlocking the phone’s screen. The interesting thing to note is that it can be opened instantaneously using the front facing camera even when the phone’s display is off.

Furthermore, LG V30 also boasts Voice Recognition supported by Qualcomm Aqstic voice UI technology for always-on, always-listening capabilities that require very little battery power. It uses a combination of the user’s voice and self-generated keywords (ideally three to five syllables combined) to unlock the V30 without the need to press a button or swipe the screen.

LG has improved the customisation options in the new UX 6.0 by incorporating Haptic feedback with several vibration combinations on the LG V30.

LG V30 is said to sports 6.0-inch FullVision QHD (1560x1440p) display and come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core, 4GB/6GB RAM, dual-camera on the back with f/1.6 aperture and 64GB storage. It is also expected to boast of IP68 water-and-dust resistant certification, military standard protection and 6000-series Aluminium body.

LG V30 is scheduled to make its official debut on August 31 in Germany, the very location, which is hosting the globally acclaimed trade show IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) September (1-6).
