He highlighted investments in green energy and data infrastructure, including a new project being developed in Kurnool in partnership with a German company.

Another key point he raised was the strong global presence of people from Andhra Pradesh. Naidu credited their success to opportunities created over the past three decades, particularly in the software industry. Building on this foundation, Naidu said the state is now moving into new frontiers such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, drone technology, and specialized innovation hubs like Space City and Drone City. According to Sangeeth, after the success of Mad, the team had gone to Goa to relax and celebrate. Director Kalyan Shankar eventually pitched the concept to producer Naga Vamsi, who quickly encouraged the team to develop it into a full-fledged film.

Sangeeth explained that while the film is not bad, the decision to make the sequel was somewhat impulsive. He mentioned that although producer Naga Vamsi’s enthusiasm and courage played a major role in bringing the project to life, the team might have taken a different approach if they had more time.

Interestingly, Naga Vamsi himself had earlier acknowledged that the sequel was produced quickly and that the team could have benefited from more time during the development stage. Despite that, Mad Square managed to attract a section of the audience who even liked it more than the original film.

Many fans on social media still discuss the rapid production of the sequel and whether additional time could have improved the film further. Given director Kalyan Shankar’s reputation as a talented writer and filmmaker, there is a belief that the sequel might have turned out even better with more preparation.

A major milestone for the Allu family’s exhibition business is set to take place in Hyderabad, as the much-awaited Allu Cinemas property is gearing up for its launch in Kokapet on March 12, 2026. The new premium theatre is expected to emerge as one of the most advanced cinema screens in the city.

Kamal Haasan Slams US Remarks on India’s Oil Purchases

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan has strongly criticised remarks from the United States suggesting that India had been “given permission” to purchase Russian oil.

Responding to the controversy, the Rajya Sabha MP and leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam stated that India is a sovereign nation and does not take instructions from any foreign country.

In a post on X addressing Donald Trump, Haasan wrote that the people of India belong to a free and sovereign nation and no longer take orders from distant foreign shores. He also asked the former US President to mind his own business, stressing that mutual respect between sovereign nations is the only foundation for lasting global peace. Haasan further wished peace and prosperity for the United States and its citizens.

The controversy began after comments made by Scott Bessent, who stated that Washington had temporarily allowed India to buy Russian oil after the Middle East conflict disrupted global supply chains.

In an interview with Fox Business, Bessent reportedly said that India had earlier been asked to stop purchasing sanctioned Russian oil and had complied. According to him, the US later permitted India to resume purchases for a limited period to help ease pressure on global oil supplies.

When asked about the issue, Donald Trump reportedly suggested that easing restrictions could help stabilise the global oil market and reduce supply pressure.

Meanwhile, the Indian government maintained that the country’s energy supplies remain secure despite tensions in the Middle East. Officials highlighted that India has diversified its crude oil imports from 27 to nearly 40 countries and continues to purchase oil based on competitive prices in the national interest.

The remarks have also triggered political reactions within India. Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha from the Indian National Congress, criticised the government, stating that India’s foreign policy should reflect the collective will of its people and remain rooted in the country’s history and values.

Tollywood star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was already financially well-established even before entering active politics. In fact, the actor-turned-politician had once revealed that he had paid nearly ₹60 crore as income tax during his film career.

To understand how his wealth has grown over the years, it is useful to look at the details declared in his election affidavits. During the 2019 elections, Pawan Kalyan informed the Election Commission that his total assets were worth around ₹56 crore.

In the same affidavit, he also declared liabilities of over ₹3 crore. These included advances he had received from film producers for projects that were yet to be completed at the time.

By the time of the 2024 elections, the numbers had changed significantly. In his updated affidavit, Pawan Kalyan declared total assets worth about ₹164.5 crore, indicating that his wealth had almost tripled within five years.

However, his liabilities also increased during this period. According to the affidavit, he had debts amounting to around ₹65.76 crore.

Later, a report by CNBC estimated that Pawan Kalyan’s overall wealth had grown even further. In a report released towards the end of 2025, the channel valued his total assets at approximately ₹450 crore. A large portion of this wealth is believed to have come from his long and successful career in the Telugu film industry.

Meanwhile, despite being active in politics, Pawan Kalyan continues to complete his pending film commitments. He is currently busy with the dubbing work of his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

After the film releases in theatres, he is expected to begin another project under the direction of Surender Reddy. Reports suggest that the actor had already received an advance for this project several years ago.
