Going by the reports of progress in the probe related to the drug scandal that has rocked Tollywood, the Small Screen (Television) industry may become the next victim of Enforcement sleuths.

SIT officials have reportedly found concrete leads from the arrested drug suppliers Jeeshan, Calvin, Williams and others about the involvement of several noted Telugu TV actors in the drugs case. Sleuths have not made any official announcement in this regard but they are said to be silently assembling all the leads and evidences. The names of TV actors can be expected in the second list of suspects that is expected to be announced after the completion of interrogation of the 12 Tollywood personalities in the first round.

Not just TV actors, Singers have also been found to have abused drugs. The people who have been probed so far, have reportedly leaked the names of some bigwigs, and the second list will reportedly comprise personalities from Tollywood, Television industry and singers. This list may be much larger than the first one.

Seeing the progress of SIT in drugs case, folks from film and TV industry are reportedly quite tensed about whose name may come out in the coming days.

However talent one may possess, its not easy for Telugu actresses to make it big in Tollywood, and Anjali was no exception.

We have seen many films raking up good numbers in the first weekend and taking a nosedive on the first Monday. Fidaa however opened to packed theatres on Monday morning and passed the weekday test with flying colours.

Actress Jyothi became the first contestant to be eliminated from the house of Bigg Boss Telugu reality show on Sunday. She was shown the exit door by host Jr NTR.

Actually, Madhu Priya, Kaththi Karthika, Kathi Mahesh, Hari Teja and Jyothi were nominated for the elimination from the house in the first week. On Saturday, host NTR had even asked Kathi Mahesh to pack his bags and be ready to walk out of the house. Just a few moments later, NTR left everyone baffled by asking Hari Teja and Jyothi to pack their bags. When the contestants were appalled, NTR consoled them saying that the eviction from the house would happen on Sunday but not on Saturday.

And, when the Sunday came, audience were eagerly waiting to find out who would be the first participant to be evicted from Bigg Boss house. After a few fun activities, NTR announced the name of Jyothi as the first participant to be eliminated.

After the eviction, NTR told Jyothi that Bigg Boss is all about expecting the unexpected and that anything could happen at any time. The Host’s remark led to speculations that she might be called back in the house at a later stage as a surprise package.

Talking to the audiences, Jyothi said that what they watch on TV is totally different from what happens inside the house throughout the day, and that there is a suffocating atmosphere inside. She said that she was glad to walk out of the house.

With Jyothi’s eviction, tension among contestants and curiosity among viewers have piqued on who will be the next contestant to be evicted?

Reports are emerging that actress Mumaith Khan might quit the show midway as she has to appear before the SIT in connection with the drugs case. Speculation is that she might be given an entry back in the house after the questioning by SIT as an exception. The makers of the show have not confirmed anything as of yet in this regard.

After delivering highly acclaimed and successful films like Kshnam and Ghazi, the two prestigious banners have now wrapped up Raju Gari Gadhi 2 shooting with Nagarjuna, Samantha, Seerat Kapoor, Ashwin and Vennela Kishore in main leads, directed by Ohmkar.

“After the highly successful Raju Gari Gadhi, this Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is highly awaited as it has Nagarjuna playing very interesting role co-starring with Samantha. In view of the two production houses track record, RGG 2 is expected to be another commercially successful and acclaimed film mounted on good production values with high budgets involved.

We have got enough confidence on the product and are intending to promote the film very aggressively in view of the buzz created already. Public anticipation is also very high in view of Raju Gari Gadi released in October last year being a runaway winner. So, we have interestingly again decided to release the film on October 13 this year which can be a positive indication that this film too might turn out to be runaway hit,” producers said.

As she is scheduled to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on 26th of this month, actress Charmme on Monday morning approached the High Court.

In her petition, Charmme has reportedly requested that only women officials should question her and that her advocate should be by her side during the questioning. She also demanded that no questions related to her personal life should be asked during the probe. Reportedly, Charmme also mentioned in her petition that her blood, nail and hair samples should not be taken during the questioning without her permission.

It may be noted that none of the five Tollywood personalities that have attended the interrogation so far have approached the court, which makes Charmme the first to file a petition against the SIT. Her petition is expected to come for hearing today afternoon, likely after 2pm.

The High Court bench may ask the SIT to file a counter to Charmme’s petition. Since the SIT is already planning to conduct Charmme’s questioning with women officials, they may report the same to the High Court, say reports. With just one day left for her questioning date, Charmme’s petition has gained huge prominence.

Considering that Prabhas is a pan-India star now and that his new film ‘Saaho’ is being made as a trilingual in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, it was expected to rope in a few actors and technicians from Bollywood. However, Prabhas’ fans now worry that the film may finally turn out to be a Hindi film and lose the nativity factor.

The second most crucial role of Saaho is already given to Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. It looked justified as the character needed a stylish, young and menacing villain who also is a noted face to pan-India audience. Later, makers roped in Bollywood music director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to score for this ambitious biggie. Afresh, they have roped in Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey for another crucial role in the film. Chunky has done a plethora of Hindi films but he is a new face to Tollywood.

So far there is no news of any famed Telugu actor coming on board for Saaho. Is Saaho being stuffed with Bollywood actors? Fans worry so. In the quest of mounting the film so as to appeal to North audiences as well, makers may lose the nativity factor by roping in only Hindi actors for crucial roles in the film, opine fans.

Another section argue that there will many more characters in the film for which actors from Telugu and Tamil industries will be roped in. In the end, makers should remember that Telugu is the major market for not just Saaho but any Telugu film that aspires global market.

Anushka may play the female lead but there is no confirmation from the makers yet.
