The ‘drug scandal’ that has hit Tollywood recently, is the latest hot topic in tinsel town. While the police are busy interrogating celebs and assembling the intricate details brick by brick, media is asking primarily about drugs whenever it gets a chance to meet any celebrity. Some actors are conveying their message on drug abuse through social media.
Actress Anita, who is still remembered for her debut film ‘Nuvvu Nenu’, has also given a message to her followers on drugs. ‘Say No to Drugs’, she wrote on her Instagram account. Ironically, the picture she chose to attach with the message has garnered more attention than the message.
Anita has posted a picture where is seen lying on the floor with a packet of drugs, a lighter and a spoon lying by her side. Ignoring the message, her followers have commented how she sensual she looked in the pic. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for her ardent followers, her sexy avatar has dominated the message she gave.
RGV Targets Akun, Telangana Gov Serious
Film Director Ram Gopal Varma’s derogatory comments against Excise and Prohibition Director Akun Sabharwal received a strong reaction from Telangana government.
Following ongoing investigation into the drug racket by Akun, Varma posted some comments on social media on the senior IPS official. He asked Akun whether the college students whose names figured in the drug racket will be grilled like the film personalities jailed virtually all through the day during investigation.
Varma also made comment that Akun will be hero in Rajamouli’s Bahubali 3. He took strong exception for leaking the names of film personalities through media.
In a quick response, Excise Commissioner Chandravadan tweeted and warned Verma for the latter’s comments. He clarified the government is investigating the case sincerely and no one will be spared. Government did not target film personalities. The official suggested Verma stop questioning the credibility of Excise department.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 102nd film, #NBK102 which was officially announced a few weeks back is all set to roll from August 3.
Senior Tamil filmmaker KS Ravikumar will direct this prestigious film of Balayya to be produced by C Kalyan. Nayanthara has been roped in to play the female lead.
The first schedule will commence from August 3rd at a specially erected massive set in Ramoji Film City. Key scenes involving the main cast will be shot over 30 days in this schedule.
Balayya’s characterization has reportedly been written powerfully besides designing a roaring look for him. As per the producer, M Ratnam has penned a powerful script keeping Balayya’s image among masses in mind.
Makers have announced to make the film on high technical standards with a massive budget. Noted cameraman Ram Prasad and GPSK music composer Chirantan Bhatt are on board. Prakash Raj and Jagapathi Babu will play key roles.

The star kid’s birthday was celebrated at BiggBossTelugu, the popular television show that Tarak is hosting. No Excuse! Mumaith Out of Bigg Boss?
Actress Mumaith Khan is going to be the first contestant to quit NTR-hosted Bigg Boss Telugu. Following notices from the Excise Department, under Section 67 of NDPS Act, Mumaith is going to leave the Bigg Boss house in Lonavala of Pune and to fly down to Hyderabad to attend before the Special Investigation Team on July 27 as part of the ongoing probe into Telugu film industry’s connect with drug peddlers. Excise Enforcement Director Akun Sabharwal corroborated that Mumaith will join like the others who have been issued summons.
However, unlike her male colleagues who have been appearing before the investigating officers at the SIT office in Abkari Bhavan at Nampally, Mumait Khan will have the choice of talking to the SIT sleuths at a place of her convenience. “But she will be questioned in Hyderabad,” a SIT official said. Interestingly, police couldn’t find the address of Mumaith Khan to serve notices to her. After which cops have approached the organisers of Bigg Boss Telugu show and informed them about the summons. Mumaith said to have confirmed to cops that she will be appearing before the SIT for questioning.
Mumaith is going to be the first contestant to quit Big Boss Telugu. However, it is buzzed that she could return to Bigg Boss like in the Hindi version of the show too, contestants required to leave the house due to emergencies have been able to stage a comeback.
So far, from Tollywood, director Puri Jagannath, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu and actor Subbaraju have appeared before the SIT for questioning. Actor Tarun is attending before the SIT today.

Drug Racket: Famous Hyd Pubs Gets Notices
Well known pubs in Hyderabad have been been served notices in connection with the ongoing probe into the sensational drug racket in which many film personalities also involved.
Telangana Excise and Prohibition Enforcement Director Akun Sabharwal asked 17 pub managements to appear before him today. They were asked to furnish all detail regarding regular visitors including foreign nationals in the night parties conducted.
Most of the pubs are located in posh Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills areas in Hyderabad. The role of pubs in spreading narcotic drug use is being under probe by the enforcement department.
