Director Puri Jagannadh’s entire family was with him on Wednesday when the star director attended before the special investigation team in the Excise Department in Nampally. Puri’s younger brother Sai Ram Shankar, son Akash, wife Lavanya and his close aides have accompanied the director. Puri looked cool, composed. The task force officials have allowed Puri’s brother and son along with him for the interrogation.

The interrogation began early 9.30 AM in the morning and expected to continue till evening 5 PM. A DSP, two inspectors, a doctor, videographer were in the interrogation room. The Excise sleuths have made arrangements to record the video of the entire interrogation procedure. The answers of Puri would be noted down by specially appointed officer.

According to inside reports, the SIT team have possessed some photos, videos and whatsapp chats as ‘evidence’ and they would be presented in front of Puri if he evades any questions of the SIT.

It can be noted that Puri’s daughter Pavitra had recently lashed out at the people pointing fingers at her dad and claimed that her dad is innocent. The whole family and Puri’s team is hopeful of coming out clean in the issue. Let’s wait and see.

Director Sampath Nandi is slowly emerging as a commercial director who could handle big heroes and big projects with ease. After his debut film Emaindi Ee Vela got brickbats for its bold and vulgar portrayal of the heroine, he changed ways with Rachcha movie.

Unlike creating some bold characters, he moved to the idea of showcasing his heroine’s like a sex goddess. In Rachha movie, they have remixed Vaana Vaana song of Megastar Chiru and Ram Charan stunned with his dance moves for the same. More than him, Tamanna’s enchanting glamour soaked in rain has created tremors. Especially her waist shaking dance move is a revelation.

Later in Bengal Tiger, while Raashi Khanna was showcased emerging wet from a swimming pool in a bikini, Tamanna once again stunned with her wet appearances in another rain song. Then everyone thought that Sampath was obsessed with Tamanna’s glamour, but that isn’t true. In fact, he loves to wet his heroines whoever it is with the latest one being cute girl Hansika.

In the upcoming Gowthamnanda, Hansika is seen drenched in rain for the hottest song alongside Gopichand. Her spicy avatar is now raising mercury levels when real rain is wetting out Telugu states. Like a Raghavendra Rao who likes to throw flowers and fruits at midriffs, it looks like Sampath loves heroines soaked in rain. Isn’t it?

In the name of bringing out some real life stories to the silver screen, many filmmakers tried to make heroes out of cold blooded murders, gruesome rapes and gang robberies. And then, thanks to Ram Gopal Varma, who has glorified some real-life factionists through his movies. But what would anyone achieve with such films?

After factionists, murderers and rapists, now a film of a Gangster’s sister story is coming up. Joining the line of movies like Rakta Charitra, Vangaveeti and Dandupalyam, now Haseena Parker is coming up. Haseena is the story of dreaded criminal, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. This film will be followed by another gangster’s story ‘Daddy’ as well, which is a film on Arun Gawli, the head of a gang that killed Dawood’s sister’s husband.

All these so called films deal with the stories of anti-society elements and they simply glorifying them as heroes. If the story of a Milkha Singh (Baag Milka Baag) or Phogat (Dangal) or a Ramanujan is told on silver screen, at least some people find inspiration. But what is the message these stories are sending to the society? Except the fact that filmmakers are making money on glorified killings, sugar coated murders and political games, surely these films are just a piece of scrap.

It’s high time whole of Indian film industry realises the importance of not glorifying criminals as that will lead to production few more criminals in real time with its impact. Stop selling those stories folks!!

Well, we have already revealed that senior hero Nagarjuna got upset with poor quality visual effects in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 movie and he ordered for a redo. What is being observed here is, our hero’s obsession with Baahubali quality is worrying the VFX teams.

During the making of Damarukam movie sometime back, Nagarjuna has reportedly pushed the film’s release couple of times because he wants the visual effects to be done again. Later the movie’s producer made the film release delayed for some time. And then, Akhil’s debut movie Akhil also got delayed for the sake of VFX only. Back then Nag said, “After Baahubali released, everyone is loving to watch high-quality visual effects. That’s why I’ve asked to redo some parts of the graphics work”. And now, his Raju Gari Gadhi 2 also got the same advice from him.

While Nagarjuna is obsessed with such Baahubalian quality, film circles are expressing a thought that all the films that got VFX advises from this senior hero have tumbled at the box office. If that sentimental thought is kept aside, the quality Nagarjuna asking is related to high budgets and producers are not shelling such huge stashes for visual effects studios in Hyderabad.

More than visual effects, Baahubali got decent content and a gripping tight screenplay in place first. And if films are mimicking only VFX quality after watching Rajamouli’s magnum opus, no doubt we get more like Vijay’s Puli and Karthi’s Kashmora. Think about it film folks!!

Assamese actress and singer Bidisha Bezbaruah, who was recently seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer, “Jagga Jasoos”, has reportedly committed suicide under mysterious circumstances. She was s noted TV personality in Assam.

“Bezbaruah was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her residence which she had rented recently in Gurgaon,” police said. They added that the father of the deceased actress had informed the police that she was not picking her calls on Monday evening, and hence they went to her residence to check. After the police reached her residence, they had to break open the door which was locked from inside, only to find Bezbaruah hanging. No suicide note was recovered.

Police added that both the victim’s father and brother claimed that Bidisha had a love marriage but she had a strained relationship with her husband after she learned about his extra-marital affair. Her husband has now been booked for abetment to suicide.

Bidisha’s mobile phone and social networking site conversations are being examined by police for further clues.

Ram Charan’s latest film under the direction of Koratala Siva was announced a couple of days ago. To be produced by the mega hero as well along with a new producer, this film is getting all the attention while Charan’s Rangasthalam 1985 shooting is progressing at brisk pace.

Actually, Charan and Koratala were supposed to work long back and a film got launched after the success of Mirchi, which happens to be our director’s debut film. But the film got shelved for unknown reasons and Koratala never revealed why. Some insiders have shared back then that Charan is not confident about Koratala’s abilities to deliver a different film unlike his ‘masala’ looking Mirchi.

But the success of back to back films Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage has changed the way everyone looked at Koratala Siva. He has decided to make those commercial movies that will have a strong message to the society. Also, the way Koratala etches characters, scenes, moments and a terrific screenplay to weave them all together got huge appreciation. Buzz is that Ram Charan is now acting in the same story which he heard a couple of years ago, except for a few changes.

Well, that makes mega fans wonder what is that so-interesting story Charan has let off earlier and hooked to it now.

Bunny has the other day landed at the studio of Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekhar, who have been roped in to score music for NPS, in Mumbai to oversee the progress of tunes for his film. An excited Shekhar shared the pics on social media, which have gone viral among Bunny’s fan clubs. The actor’s new stylish look has made his fans super excited for NPS.

We can’t ascertain if the actor will retain this look for NPS. Fans on the other hand hope that the Stylish Star sports this stylish look only in his new film.

Responding over the reports of Charmi’s alleged involvement in drugs and she receiving notices from the Excise Department, Charmi’s father Deep Singh Uppal has tried to clear the air. Stating that she has ‘no role’ in the drugs scandal that was unearthed after a drug peddler Kelvin was arrested by Excise Department sleuths, her father stated that Charmi is very disturbed with the allegations.

“Charmi is heartbroken. She is not involved into this. I know my daughter. She has been working hard since she was 13 and looking after our family. She is very dedicated towards her work that has brought her this far and not into any illegal things. Had she involved into these, she wouldn’t had such a longevity of career, success. I urge media to verify facts before resorting to allegations and think of their families,” Deep Singh was quoted as saying who concluded by saying that truth will come out.

Charmi’s acting career is on a downward spiral after many of her previous films failed at the Box Office. She has co-founded Puri Connects, a talent management firm along with director Puri Jagannadh with whom she is closely associated with. While Puri has already attended before the SIT today (July 19), Charmi is going to present before the SIT on July 20.
