Senior actress Gautami has apologized to the team of ‘Baahubali’ for not watching the second part yet.

When asked her view on some Bollywood bigwigs making tall statements like ‘I haven’t watched Baahubali 2 yet’, ‘There is no story in the film’ etc. Gautami confessed that she also hasn’t watched ‘Baahubali 2′ yet. And, she apologized the entire team for doing so.

“I have seen the first part but I couldn’t watch Baahubali 2 as i was travelling at that time. I was very curious to see the film but then my daughter’s exams started and they continued for one month. I don’t have the habit of going to cinema without my daughter,’ she confessed.

‘Baahubali 2 is a landmark achievement from creative and technical perspectives. The best achievement of the film is, it has proved how big the market of an Indian film is. A well made film, if mounted on a huge canvas, it can break language barriers and the age-old market restrictions. Baahubali 2 proved this precise point in amazing manner,’ she lauded.

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan on Monday said Tamil filmdom will speak with “one voice” on the ongoing cinema theatres shutdown in the state following the government’s decision to levy 30 per cent entertainment tax over the newly implemented GST.The Goods and Services Tax came into effect from July 1.

Speaking at the launch of a dubbing studio here on Monday, Kamal told the media: “The entire industry is gathering together and we shall speak as one voice soon.”Theatres across Tamil Nadu have been shutdown from Monday in protest against the double taxation.

On June 30, Abirami Ramanathan, President of the Tamil Nadu Film Chamber of Commerce, said the government should fall in line with the other southern states’ tax slab.

While a Rs 100 ticket in the neighbouring states (Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka) would cost Rs 118 post-GST, it would cost Rs 148 in Tamil Nadu, thanks to the government’s additional 30 per cent state tax on the ticket.

Mass director Boyapati Srinu who is directing Bellamkonda Srinivas after a blockbuster like ‘Sarrainodu’, is all set to direct two of the biggest stars of Tollywood in his next two projects.

Boyapati has reportedly divulged that he has stories ready for both megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Mahesh Babu, and that he will formalize projects with them one after another.

The ‘Legend’ director will meet Megastar very soon and narrate him two stories out of which the legendary actor is expected to pick one. Later, Boyapati will spend good amount of time in finishing the script and pre-production work by the time Chiru wraps up Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

Interim, Boyapati has recently met Mahesh Babu and the duo agreed upon collaborating for an action entertainer. The mass director is hopeful of taking his film starring Mahesh onto floors after the latter completes his prior commitments, films with Koratala Siva, Vamsi Paidipally and Trivikram, in the same order.

Meanwhile, Boyapati is busy with the post-production work of his upcoming film, ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’, which is slated for release on August 11.
