Champions Trophy : India to Face Pakistan In Finals
India has beaten Bangladesh in semi-finals to enter the finals of Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli take the India to the finals. Bangladesh who bat first scored 264 for 7 wickets in 50 overs. India chased the target very convincingly and decimated Bangladesh in just 40.1 overs. India scored 265 for the loss of 1 wicket (Shikhar Dhawan) thus winning the match by 9 wickets.
Rohit Sharma has been awarded the Man of the Match. Rohit made 123 runs out of 129 balls while captain Virat Kohli scored 96 runs in just 78 balls. The Southpaw Shikhar Dhawan was catch out at 46 who cemented the victory along with Rohit and it is continued by Kohli who played a winning innings. Indian team has shown a great batting display and they couldn’t have won more convincingly to reach the finals of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Among bowlers, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kedar Jadhav have taken two wickets each while Ravindra Jadeja has taken a wicket.
This is the fourth time India is entering Champions Trophy. India is likely to clash with Pakistan in the finals on June 18. India versus Pakistan is seen as the clash of titans and a classic match that all cricket lovers would look up to it.

TDP MLA Hits Out at Own Govt
Guntur West MLA and TDP leader Modugula Venugopal Reddy has made sensational comments that put his own party – which is ruling the state – in embarrassment. Venugopal alleged that the farm loan waiver which was promised by the party in 2014 polls was not delivered completely. Expressing dissatisfaction on the functioning, Venugopal further alleged that several realtors have been availing subsidy on fertilizers claiming as farmers. Venugopal didn’t stop there. He alleged that Guntur has become hub for fake seeds and said that fake seeds are being manufactured during the mixing of fertilizers in the plants.
Modugula added that the raids of officials is looking like a publicity act. Modugula, who contested against former minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, had won in Guntur West Assembly constituency in 2014 elections. Party insiders say that Modugula has been upset ever since Naidu rejigged the cabinet and he wasn’t included in the cabinet.
Of late, several TDP leaders are crossing the party line and openly making comments against Naidu-led government. Recently, TDP MP from Vijayawada Kesineni Nani had openly stated that Naidu is misled by a group of people and stated that RTA officials are doing wrong practices that led him to shut his travel business.
Another senior leader Shilpa Mohan Reddy from Kurnool district has recently quit TDP to contest from YSRCP in upcoming Nandyala by-election. Looks like, all is not well within the TDP.
7 Hours Gym, Young Hero Loses 15Kilos
Actor Nara Rohit has shed a whopping 15 kilos. Rohit, who had been often criticised for his weight, has finally lost the extra kilos and sporting a meaner, leaner look.
Rohit is playing a cop in his next Shamantakamani where he will be seen as Inspector Ranjith Kumar. Rohit is flaunting his beefed up look with more muscles. Apparently, Rohit has worked very hard in the gym to get into present shape.
“It was not easy. Only after rigorous training and workout, Rohit lost 15 kilos,” said a source close to the actor. It’s learnt that Rohit has been working for nearly 6 to 7 hours daily for the past six months or so to reach this shape.
“3 hours in the morning and 3 to 4 hours in the evening was part of his daily workout regime,” added the source. Last year Rohit has done two good films Jyo Achyutananda and Appatlo Okadundevadu. This year too he is expecting Shamantakamani, Kathalo Rajakumari, Veeraboga Vasantha Rayalu and Pandagala Vachadu.
Rajasekhar’s daughter may make debut with ‘Kumki 2’
Veteran Telugu actor Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivani is likely to make her acting debut with upcoming Tamil film “Kumki 2”.
“The makers are in talks with her and are most likely to sign her. She has even given a screen test. It’s just a matter of a few more days and an official announcement can be expected,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
Shivani is trained in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, as well as musical instruments such as keyboard, guitar and veena. She has also learnt singing and kick-boxing, the source added.
The project is a sequel to the 2012 Tamil blockbuster “Kumki”. Prabhu Solomon will return to direct it.
It’s not quite sure yet if Vikram Prabhu, who played the lead in the first part, will be part of the sequel as well.
“Kumki” explored the relationship between a mahout and his elephant.
“The sequel will roll from July, because that’s when the monsoon will start. It will be predominantly shot in the forests on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala,” the source added.
JC Gets Away With Rude Behavior In Airport
As expected, Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy managed to get away with his alleged rude behavior with airlines employee at Visakhapatnam airport on Thursday.
According to latest reports, the authorities of Indigo Airlines did not file any complaint against the MP with the Visakhapatnam airport police station and as such, there was no case booked against him.
Inquiries revealed that Union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who was also in the airport at the same time, ensured that the issue did not take a serious turn.
JC, too, calmed down quickly and travelled in the next flight, as a result of which the airlines people also did not pursue the matter much.
JC, Askhok and other TDP leaders were in Visakhapatnam to attend the wedding of Srikakulam MP K Rammohan Naidu. JC was to return to Hyderabad by Indigo flight at 8 am, but he came to the airport at 7.40 am.
By that time, the boarding pass issuing counter was closed. JC insisted that he be allowed to board the flight, but the airlines staff refused to issue boarding pass sine the flight was almost getting ready for take-off.
The MP picked up an argument with the staff and ransacked the pass issuing counter.
‘Romancing, Fighting In Films Is No Heroism’
Mumbai: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has called the police, fire fighters and the medics “real heroes” and added that romancing or fighting in films is no heroism.
“The Real Heroes. ‘9/11’ Firefighters entered Twin Towers knowing eminent death. Now Grenfell Tower where again the braves have entered. Singing songs, romancing or fighting in films is no heroism. The real heroes are the fire fighters, police and the medics. I was no hero! Sorry!” Rishi tweeted on Wednesday night.
The 64-year-old actor’s tweet came after a major fire took place and consumed a 24-storey apartment complex in west London housing hundreds on Wednesday.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at Grenfell Tower, an apartment block located in the neighbourhood of Kensington, shortly after Tuesday midnight, reports Efe news.
Some 200 firefighters and 40 fire trucks were deployed to the scene and emergency workers were battling to get the fire under control.
On the work front, Rishi will soon be seen sharing screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming film “102 Not Out”.
The film features Amitabh as a 102-year-old and Rishi as his 75-year-old son.
“102 Not Out” is based on writer-director Saumya Joshi’s successful Gujarati play by the same name. The film is a sweet story between a father and a son and the duo will also speak a few lines in Gujarati in the film!
Amitabh and Rishi, who will be seen sharing screen space after two decades, have previously worked in films like “Amar Akbar Anthony”, “Naseeb” and “Kabhi Kabhie”.
