Kritika Chaudhary’s Murder Confirmed, Case Filed
A 27-year-old struggling actress who was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb on Monday, died of a serious head injury, the police said on Tuesday. A murder case against an unidentified person has been registered.
Kritika Chaudhary’s decomposing body was discovered after neighbours complained of a stench from her home. The 27-year-old, who had a bit part in the 2013 Kangana Ranaut starrer “Rajjo”, seemed to have been dead for three or four days, the police said.
Her post-mortem, which was conducted on Tuesday, revealed that she died of a serious head injury, police said. According to an official, Kritika’s family members, friends and her acquaintances were being questioned.
“Police have received the post-mortem report some time back and after going through it, we have filed an offence of murder,” Paramjeet Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-IX) said, according to news agency Press Trust of India.
“Initially, the Amboli police had registered a case of accidental death in this connection. Now, an offence of murder against an unidentified person has been registered and the probe is on,” another officer told PTI.
Kritika was from Haridwar and had been working in television.
A neighbour, Abhimanyu Poojari, said he had last seen her six days ago when she was on her way home. “She used to come here often to pray at the Sai temple,” said Ms Poojari.
The police broke open her door, which was bolted from inside, around 3.45 pm on Monday. Neighbours had also reported that she hadn’t been seen leaving her home for days.
Will We Have An Election For President? BJP To Name Its Choice By June 23
NEW DELHI: In about a week, the BJP and its allies will reveal their choice for President of India, the ruling party has decided today. The opposition – which is meeting separately – has indicated that based on who the government picks, it will decide whether it wants to nominate its choice, which would then result in an election on July 17.
The BJP’s top leaders met in Delhi today and were briefed on the presidential election by Venkaiah Naidu and Rajnath Singh, who, along with Arun Jaitley, form a committee tasked to consult other parties – including the opposition and allies – on who would make a good successor for President Pranab Mukherjee, whose five-year term expires on July 24.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for the United States on June 24, so the government would like to announce its choice before then – by the 23rd or next Friday, the party’s top leaders were told.
While the BJP was finalizing its strategy, opposition leaders like Sharad Yadav, Sitaram Yechury, Derek O’Brien and Ghulam Nabi Azad met to review how they would like to proceed. Opposition heavyweights like West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have said their preference would be for the government to name a candidate who is acceptable across party lines, which would make an election unnecessary.
Just in case a consensus is not managed, voting has been set for July 17 with counting on July 20.
The President is elected by national and state law-makers. With regional parties like Telangana’s TRS offering their support to the government, the BJP and its allies will outnumber the opposition if an election is held.
The opposition has said that even if that is the case, an election could help it gain valuable insights and experience in collating against the government. A maha-gathbandhan or Grand Alliance, it has said, could be its only real chance of challenging PM Modi when he seeks a second term two years from now.

Manoj Deletes Tweet. Publicity Stunt?
Hours after announcing to quit acting, Manchu Manoj has deleted his tweet. The Current Theega actor, who earlier posted that Okkadu Migiladu and his next film, would be his last films, has deleted his post on his Twitter page.
This has now fueled fire to the speculations that it was a publicity gimmick. As the teaser of his latest film Okkadu Migiladu is being unveiled today, his statement on quitting acting is seen as a meagre publicity stunt by many Twitterati.
Was Manoj serious in quitting? If so what changed his mind so rapidly? Has he not consulted with his family members before making the announcement? Or like many saying is it just a prank or a stunt to grab attention for his next films? Only Manoj knows! The moot question is when will Manoj breaks his silence and answers the above questions.
Shocking: Manchu Manoj Announces to Quit Acting
Manchu Manoj, one of the most energetic performers in Tollywood, has shocked the Telugu film lovers by announcing his decision of quitting films. Manoj’s fans were appalled with his decision. Many on social media started requesting him not to quit acting.
“Okkadu migiladu and my next film will be my last films as an actor. thank u all,” tweeted Manoj early this morning.
It is not clear what propelled Manoj to take this startling decision. Of course, his films have been performing poorly at box office but his acting prowess was never under scanner. If the actor doesn’t reconsider his decision, he will not act in any other film after completing his two films that are currently on sets.
Since Manoj claimed to quit films as an actor, he may venture into production or take up direction. He is well versed with stunt choreography too. On the other hand, if he choose to completely stay away from films, he may take up social activities and consider politics, given the diverse social initiatives he has been taking up lately.
These however are mere possibilities. Just like any fan of Manoj, Team Gulte also wishes Manoj reconsider his decision and continue to entertain as an actor.
NTR’s Record In Telugu Television history
With the news of NTR making his debut on Television as the host of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ reality show has now become official, people have started wondering how much Star Maa might have shelled out to rope in the star hero for his first ever TV stint.
NTR’s exact remuneration for his stint as the host of Bigg Boss is yet uncertain but it is heard that he was offered a whopping amount, to the tune of double to what Megastar Chiranjeevi had charged to host the fourth season of MEK.
Star Maa is investing as much as Rs 50 crore on the first season of Bigg Boss Telugu. Spending such high amount on a TV show that lasts for just about 3 months is a new record in Telugu Television history, no prizes for guessing that lion’s share of this expenditure is NTR’s remuneration.
The telecast of first season will commence from mid-July on Star Maa, and prime slot on Saturday and Sunday is allocated for this reality show, which has already become a huge hit in Hindi belt. Star Maa management is confident that NTR’s star power will help Bigg Boss become popular in Telugu too.
Noted celebs from film, television, politics and sports fields will be roped in as contestants on Bigg Boss. The surprising part here is that the contestants have not yet been selected despite only less than a month is left for the commencement of the show.
No Time or No Offers in Telugu?
Actress Nikki Galrani, who made her Tollywood debut with Sunil’s disastrous film ‘Krishnashtami’, has claimed that she has yet to sign her second Telugu film because she doesn’t have time for Tollywood. Does it sound convincing?
Nikki claimed that she has been so busy with Tamil and Malayalam films that she couldn’t take time out to sign Telugu films. Her claim of being busy in neighboring film industries is true since she has done around 20 films in the past four years. The question is, would she have rejected Telugu films and opted for a Malayalam or Tamil film in case if she had to choose one?
Telugu film industry pays better remuneration to actresses compared to both Mollywood and Kollywood, and many younger generation actresses have lately claimed that TFI is a best place to work compared to other industries.
Actually, Nikki wasn’t offered any Telugu film post the failure of her debut film, Krishnashtami. She however is trying her best to cover this up by saying she has no time for Tollywood.
Nikki, the younger sister of ‘Bujjigadu’ fame Sanjana, will be next seen in dubbed film ‘Marakatamani’.
