The importance of ‘seat belt’ is explained many times by specialists, car experts and also transport department officials, but still, many don’t pay attention to it.

The deaths of politicians like Bhuma Shobha Nagireddy and Minister Narayan’s son Nitish have given a clear message that wearing seat belts would save lives. There is this unknown story about a Telugu director as well whose latest film “Ami Tumi” is running in theatres now.

During the post-production times of “Gentleman” movie, director Indraganti Mohan Krishna was said to be working for very late hours. On one such day, when he’s feeling little sleepy, Indraganti tumbled at the wheel and hit a Metro pillar. The moment he struck it, his car got crashed to the pulp but he left the scene with some small scratches. This was because he’s wearing a seatbelt and the airbags also helped him.

Later Indraganti decided never to drive a car while feeling sleepy and also brought a new luxurious BMW sedan that has world’s best safety features. Still, one needs to wear a seatbelt no matter how sophisticated one’s car is. Luck will not help all the times.

For reasons unknown, Pawan Kalyan fans got habituated to making “Powerstar” chants at almost all the mega-functions and sometimes they have also embarrassed Megastar Chiranjeevi by interfering his speeches with their shouts. A similar thing is expected at DJ Duvvada Jagannadham audio launch as well, but they got diluted. Wonder why?

Other day at DJ audio launch, a gallery of tickets are allotted to Pawan Kalyan fans and whenever the name of Powerstar is taken, these fans started shouting more and more. But their shouts got diluted as there is another chant that was heard strongly at the place. It’s about Allu Arjun and wonders what happened to his loyal fans now.

Even when Allu Arjun is giving his speech, his fans started shouting ‘DJ DJ DJ’ and haven’t got controlled until Bunny has thrown a joke. “DJ DJ ani arichi.. Sabhya Samajaniki Emi Message Iddamani” said the stylish star, using a dialogue from his own film. Before that, when Allu Arvind is speaking, DJ chants continued. Similarly, Rao Ramesh too faced the sounding. And actor Subba Raju has joined the chorus and started shouting DJ DJ DJ along with the crowds.

Wonder why these fans kept shouting DJ, rather their hero’s name or tag, but surely that has dominated the usual Powerstar chants.

Call it a huge birthday gift. Daughters Brahmini and Tejeswini have gifted a Bentley car to Nandamuri Balakrishna on his birthday. Both the daughters have personally made it to Portugal where his ongoing 101st film Paisa Vasool is being shot and handed over the car keys personally to their doting dad.

The entire family made it to Portugal. Wife Vasundhara, son Mokshagna, son-in-laws Nara Lokesh, Sri Bharath, grandson Nara Devansh have all attended the birthday celebrations of Balayya. Naturally, Balayya is elated with the whole family flown in and participating in his celebrations.

Jnanpith awardee Dr C Narayana Reddy passed away here on Monday. The litterateur was rushed to the hospital this morning when he developed health complications but was pronounced dead. The death of the 85-year-old poet-author-writer-lyricist and former Rajya Sabha member was condoled by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Born in Hanumanjipet, in Rajanna Sircilla district on July 29, 1931, Dr C Narayana Reddy was also well-versed in Urdu. He also served as vice-chancellor of Telugu University.

Narayana Reddy’s meaningful lyrics for a large number of songs that he penned for Telugu films songs have been a huge hit. For the last few years, he was away from the film industry due to his health condition. Narayana Reddy, who graduated from Osmania University, went to earn honorary doctorates also. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan also. He was given the Jnanpith in 1988 for his much lauded work “Vishwambara”.
The Telugu film industry has condoled his death.

Director Harish Shankar is a self-proclaimed fan of Pawan Kalyan. He is first a PK fan and then a filmmaker. Raining praises on Pawan, the Gabbar Singh director has shared an interesting and short memoir which he had with Pawan Kalyan.

“This is after the super success of Gabbar Singh. I’ve met Pawan Kalyan garu and asked him to give an interview or promote the film by doing a success event to make the film bigger success. Kalyan garu had told me then, ‘Success doesn’t leave you calm. It makes you pride and it wants you to show it off to the world. It may make you do mistakes. When you get a big success, you need to be more responsible’,” Harish Shankar shared.

He added it further. “Even then I wasn’t convinced with Kalyan gari words and I was trying to persuade him. I was asking him to give a joint interview with me. He asked me then, ‘Is the film successful?’ I had told him, ‘Yes, it’s a big success.’ Then he had told me again, ‘If it is successful, why do we have to be seen? If my film is successful, I’ll just walk away as if it’s not my own.”

Harish said that Pawan Kalyan’s words have inspired him to keep the dialogue in DJ : ‘Manam Chese Panilo Manchi Kanipinchali Thappa, Manishi Kanipinchakkarledu’.

Harish showed his gratitude to hero Ravi Teja who had given him the first opportunity as director. Harish even recalled his first tryst with Bunny when he had watched Arya in Rajahmundry while working on the film Naa Autograph. He said he hadn’t slept that night thinking whether he would able to work with the hero (Allu Arjun), producer (Dil Raju) and music director (Devi Sri Prasad).

“Today, I’m working with all the three people. If you have a strong will, you’ll definitely make it happen,” Harish concluded. He said he would wait for a call from Pawan Kalyan to direct him again.
