Bopanna Creates History, 4th Indian to Win A Grand Slam
Reigning Indian Tennis player Rohan Bopanna rewrote history on Thursday by becoming the only fourth Indian to win a Tennis Grand Slam. Sania Mirza, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are the other three.
Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski beat Colombia’s Robert Farah and Germany’s Anna-Lena Groenefeld 2-6, 6-2, 12-10 to clinch the French Open 2017 mixed doubles title in Paris. After losing the first set, the Indo-Canadian pair made a strong comeback and claimed the remaining two sets and also the Grand Slam.
This was only for the second time that Bopanna reached the final of of a Grand Slam. The first time he stormed into the final was during US Open men’s doubles in 2010 but he lost the summit clash to the Bryan brothers of America.
Bopanna’s win is a proud moment to all the Indian fans of Tennis game.
RGV Shares Sania Mirza’s Pic in Underwear!!!
Ram Gopal Varma, who has been sharing mostly the pictures of naked girls and pics with explicit sexual content ever since he joined instagram, has now crossed the last limit of decency by sharing a photo of ace Tennis star Sania Mirza where her underwear is exposed.
Linking the explicit pic of Sania to his short film ‘Meri Beti Sunny Leone Banna Chaahti Hai’ (MBSLBCI), Varma defended his sleazy act by narrating the case of a young girl who was forbidden to play Tennis since she would have to wear skirts. His point looks reasonable but sharing that embarrassing pic where Sania’s underwear is exposed while playing Tennis, is too crude. Â
“A girl told someone, MBSLBCI reminded her of, though she was very good at Tennis her father refused to permit her to play beyond a age because she will have to wear skirts ..The film is about exposing these regressive minds who use a girl’s sexuality against herself,” wrote Varma besides sharing the sleazy pic.
We wonder how Sania reacts if this post of RGV goes to her notice.
First Brick Laid for Ramayanam
Providing a sort of confirmation on the happening of much publicized Rs 500 crore ‘Ramayanam’, Mega producer Allu Aravind has registered the title ‘Sampoorna Ramayanam’ with Film Chamber. The senior producer has made his intentions of making this magnum opus vet clear with this move.
There was buzz earlier that that Aravind has met Vedic scholars to discuss the complete story of Ramayana. Although the story has been told several times on small screen, not everything could have been told considering how big an epic it is. Aravind is reportely planning to explore the unexplored aspects in his ‘Sampoorna Ramayanam’, hence the title.
Now, the biggest hurdle is who will play the role of Rama. There is severe pressure from Mega fans that none but Ram Charan should play the Lord in the triology that is being planned to be made on Rs 500 crore budget. There is no official announcement from Geetha Arts regarding the main cast yet. Even the director is not roped in yet.
We need to see how Aravind deals with casting since pooling funds may not be a hurdle for him.
Jadeja Blessed With Baby Girl
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was blessed with a baby girl on Thursday. Unfortunately, the ace cricketer can’t lay his eyes on his first baby since he is currently in England with Team India for the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy.
His wife Reeva Solanki, whom Jadeja married in April last year, and her infant baby are reportedly hale and hearty in the hospital back in India.

Former captain MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva was born in 2015 when he was leading Team India for the 2015 World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. India lost to Australia in the semi final match then. Since ICC Champions trophy is considered as prestigious as the World Cup, we need to see how Team India’s fortunes will be this time around.

Pulling the curtains down on the speculations of his impending marriage with actress Samantha, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni has just made the big announcement.
Addressing media at the Jio Filmfare Awards (South) press conference today, Chaitu revealed that he will marry Samantha at an auspicious muhurat on October 6.
Chaitu was chief guest at the Jio Filmfare Awards press conference. Besides revealing the big date, he also expressed his wish of acting in a romantic entertainer with Samantha.
On the other hand, the award event will be held on 17th June at Novotel, Hyderabad. A horde of celebs are expected to grace the event and several actresses will entertain the guests with live performances.
Telangana Student Shot At In California
HYDERABAD: A student from Telangana is critical after being shot at in California, US.
Mubeen Ahmed, 26, who is pursuing MS from California University, was shot in a shop where he had taken up part time work. His father said they had got a call from the hospital where he was admitted that Mubeen was critical and unconscious.
The incident took place at 6pm on June 4. The family was informed about the incident on June 5 by some relatives.
“The hospital authorities have called me and said my son is in ICU and in critical condition. We require a visa to be with him,” Mujib Ahmed, father of the victim, who works for a defence establishment said. The family belongs to Sangareddy.
Mujib said they had met Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and other public representatives who were helpful.
Mubeen had gone to California in February, 2015.
MBT leader Amjedullah Khan has written to Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and NRI affair minister K T Rama Rao to help Mubeen’s family.
Nana Patekar plays the antagonist in ‘Kaala’
Actor Nana Patekar will be seen playing the main antagonist in superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil gangster drama “Kaala”, a source said.
“Nana ji plays a conniving, ruthless politician and he takes Rajinikanth head on. It’s a very powerful role and audiences are going to love the face-off between him and Rajini sir,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
Rajinikanth’s goes against Nana’s political party, fighting for equal rights for Tamils in Mumbai.
Having completed his portion in the current schedule in Mumbai, Rajinikanth will join the sets in the next schedule here.
Being directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani and Pankaj Tripathi.
The project marks the second time collaboration of Ranjith and Rajinikanth after last year’s “Kabali”.
Dhanush is bankrolling the film, and he is rumoured to be playing a cameo in the film.
Palace-like set worth over Rs 2 cr for ‘Jai Lava Kusa
Hyderabad: The makers of Junior NTR starrer Telugu action-drama “Jai Lava Kusa” have built a massive palace-like set worth over Rs 2 crore to shoot a vital portion of the second half of the film, a source said.
“The set has been erected in Ramoji Film City. It’s a palace-like structure with lavish interiors. Key portion of the second half will be shot in this set, which is worth over Rs 2 crore,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
The film features Junior NTR in a triple role.
For one of his roles, he will be seen wearing prosthetic and his look is being handled by Hollywood make-up artist Vance Hartwell, popular for his work in films such as “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Shutter Island”.
Being directed by Bobby, the film is being produced by Jr NTR’s brother Kalyanram under the banner NTR Arts.
Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas are playing the leading ladies.
