Producer Sharrath Marar might have bankrolled his first three films – Gopala Gopala, Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Katamarayudu – with close friend and Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Now that Pawan is busy with other commitments, Sharrath is now looking upto other heroes for his next productions. It’s reliably learnt that he is going to team up with mega hero Sai Dharam Tej for his next venture.

And this is going to be presented by Pawan Kalyan Creative Works. Ever since Sai Dharam Tej is launched, there have been talks of Pawan presenting a film of Sai. And Pawan is expected to keep his word soon. However, it’s not sure who is going to direct the film and what’s the story about. But Sharrath this time is quite confident of making a better film and leaving no leaf unturned to make it successful. So, he is said to be very conscious this time around. Since it has Sai, budget would also be kept under control such that high monies would not be at stake.

However, it may take some more time before it finally gets rolling. Meanwhile, Sharrath is going to take care of Pawan and his ongoing films.

If rumour in film circuits is to be believed, young hero is demanding satellite rights. The young hero is doing reasonably good and he is now in talks with a big production house for a medium budget film. Apparently, the young hero asked satellite rights as his fee for the film and this said to have not gone well with the makers.

While the project is still in discussion stage and talks are in nascent phase, it’s heard that the makers are looking for other options. Even director is apparently not so keen on having him as the lead and is now contemplating to choose any other heroes.

A formal confirmation would come out soon. However, the blessing in disguise is that the young hero has a slew of other commitments which is why he need not worry much. But since it is a big production house, may be, the young hero may rethink his demand.

Meanwhile, another young hero was the initial choice for the film. But makers have approached this hero hoping that he would be a better option. Now even he may be replaced again.

Nearly after a week of run at box office, Naga Chaitanya’s latest movie Rarandoi Veduka Chooddam has collected more than 17+ crore share. That makes another striking film fall in the lap of Chay ever since he scored a big hit with Premam.

Guess what, little slowed run of Baahubali 2 has helped Rarandoi to stay tall at the box office for a while but trade pundits felt yesterday that new releases would damage the run. Much to the amusement of Nagarjuna and Co, who have not just produced the film but also promoted it quite well, other day’s releases just failed to live up to the mark.

While Andagadu has shown only light-weight presence, Fashion Designer also created only negligible impact. With talk of these films spreading like a forest fire, Rarandoi got terrific bookings on Saturday and Sunday.

Definitely, this is a blessing in disguise for Nag and Chay as their movie will now get one more week chance to have a stupendous run at the box office until next competitor arrives. Trade pundits are expecting that the film may collect 23+ crores in the final run, overtaking Premam collections as well. Let’s see.

Post the worldwide success of Baahubali, media and people started discussing Rajamouli’s remuneration. Some media houses even published the numbers and declared that he took more remuneration than even Prabhas. Well, here comes the clarification right from the horse’s mouth.

Rajamouli has reportedly confessed that he took a share in profits. “I take a nominal fee and ask for certain share in profits. If the film becomes a hit, I will get my share and in case of flop, I also lose money. I feel this method lessens the burden on producer. Sometimes, even hit films don’t fetch profits, it all depends on the kind of agreements a producer makes with his distributors or exhibitors,” said Rajamouli.

He however softly denied to tell how much percentage is his share in the profits of Baahubali. Rajamouli also said that he wouldn’t make movies for producers who offer him staggering sums but only for those who make movies with passion.

Rajamouli’s next film will be produced by DVV Danayya. The ace director is yet to take a decision on the genre and story.
