Demonetization kills GDP Growth

India lost its tag of being the world’s fastest growing economy as the country’s GDP or Gross Domestic Product grew by only 6.1 per cent during Q4 (January-March period), as shown by the latest government data. China’s GDP grew 6.9 per cent during the same period.
Even after considering the impact of demonetization, economists had predicted India’s fourth quarter GDP growth at 7.1 per cent. But, the actual number fell short by a huge 1 per cent. GDP growth in the previous quarter (October-December period) was 7 per cent. Overall, the GDP growth rate for 2016-17 financial year came in at 7.1 per cent whereas the projected growth rate was 8 per cent.
The numbers will surely be embarrassing for the Narendra Modi government that recently completed three years at the Centre. Modi’s demonetization drive implemented in November last year in a bid to curb black money has shown more than anticipated impact on country’s economy.
Modi’s govt. however is confident that GST, India’s biggest tax reform since independence that will come into effect from July 1 this year, will contribute 2 per cent to the GDP and the results will be seen by FY18.

It’s Not Samantha, We Should Change!!

Chilling out at a resort in popular Koh Samui Island near Bangkok, Thailand, star heroine Samantha is busy sharing her excitement with her social media followers. And that is leading to huge upset as a set of misogynistic men started sharing their piece of gyaan for the hot starlet.
Other day when Samantha posted a picture consisting of a bikini top and bottom and today when she shared her own picture where she’s seen in a two-piece from the back, few fans started yelling their wisdom at her. Some advised the hot lady to behave maturely as she’s becoming daughter-in-law of a top Telugu family. Some stated that she should not share her bikini pictures as she’s soon becoming someone’s wife. So, who should change? Sam or these misogynistic individuals?
The whole world is advancing and surely western culture has taken us over. Being Indians, we haven’t forgotten our roots or culture, but unfortunate thing is that still we see this society as a male-dominant one and try to exert all kinds of pressure on women and control them. So it’s not Samantha who should change (there is nothing to change) but it’s ‘us’, the misogynist people and society, who should really change.
Recently we’ve seen how actress Priyanka Chopra too got ridiculed as she wore a short dress while meeting PM Narendra Modi in Germany. Frankly speaking, what has a dress to do to meet a Prime Minister and she’s not wearing a bikini anyway. It’s her choice she carried and it should be respected.
Savitri Scares Pawan Kalyan Fans

A working pic from the sets of Mahanati featuring Keerthy Suresh as yesteryear actress Savitri has recently gone viral. While everyone praised Keerthy’s plump looks resembling a younger version of Savitri, Pawan Kalyan fans seem to be worried.
It is known that Keerthy is simultaneously shooting for Mahanati and Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram’s film. Her present look may well suit to the character she is essaying in the former film but how can she please the audiences of a commercial film as big as #PKPS25 with those looks, worry Pawan fans. They rue that Keerthy may have already gained a few kilos for Mahanati and may put on some more weight during the course of shooting to portray Savitri’s older version.
On the other hand, a section of fans say that Trivikram has already filmed major portions involving Keerthy and that he will finish shooting of her part very soon, much before the shoot of Savitri’s latter life in Mahanati commences. This version looks assuring but fans are still concerned, which is evident from their discussions on social media.
Besides Keerthy, Anu Emmanuel is the other female lead of #PSPK25. Latest reports suggest that makers are planning to release the film for Sankranthi 2018.
