Rental Boom In Andhra Beats Hyderabad
The Andhra Pradesh state capital is undoubtedly emerging as an important and promising cash bag for the local landlords and householders – making it hard for people who’re looking to live in rental houses.
If you are only amazed with housing rents in Telangana capital Hyderabad, then you will be more than shocked to know the rentals of 2 BHK and 3 BHK flats in Andhra Pradesh’s commercial capital, Vijayawada.
After the inauguration of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh state-Amaravati, under the administration of Telugu Desham chief Chandrababu Naidu, rental rates are booming in last three years.
As the new capital city managed to attract several projects and investments from top and mid-level companies of Japan and Singapore, in a run-up to cash on these new-establishments, including IT companies, industries, companies and government secretariat in the state capital, the residential owners have raised the bar and are making it almost unbearable for the middle class people.
The rental prices in Amaravati grew massively over the course of time, a report by leading daily has found. The intended spurt is largely the result of expected residential growth, not only government employees, but also members of business class, in city and rising commercialization.
The report further reveals that residential lease prices have almost jumped 300% – 500% in no time, based on the areas in and around Vijayawada. Below are the area wise breakup of lease-rates:
Bandar Road- 2BHK (30,000 Rs), 3 BHK (30,000-1,5 lakh)
Gayathri Nagar- 3 BHK (30,000-50,000)
Eluru Road- 2 BHK (18,000-20,000), 3BHK (25,000-40,000)
Mogalrajapuram -3 BHK (30,000-50,000)
Likewise, Vizag city is also witnessing a staggering high in house rents. Whereas, the commercial complex is being rented out at a price range of 50,000-1.5 lakh per month.
Jagan Insults Sr Leader? Tells Him To Call Sir?
YS Jagan has been accused of his hot-headed nature from longtime. Many senior leaders who have earlier worked in party have criticized Jagan and alleged him of ill-treating them and mentioned that as the reason for quitting the party. And the latest we hear is that party’s senior leader and Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy has been distancing from the party activities for a while.
Apparently, Jagan has ‘insulted’ Mekapati during their last interaction. Mekapati reportedly addressed Jagan as “Babu” since the latter is much younger to him, but party insiders say that this has not gone well with Jagan. According to party insiders, Jagan had told Mekapati on his face, “Call Me Sir, Not Babu”. Also, Mekapati said to have made a few recommendations to Jagan in running the party which Jagan had ignored.
Mekapati felt that he was ‘insulted’ and ‘snubbed’ by Jagan and has been staying away from party activities in Nellore district. Even Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy who was active in Nellore’s party activities is presently inactive. Despite showing up good numbers in Nellore district in the last general elections, Jagan’s party is now struggling for leadership in the district.

Tollywood Giving Great sendoff to Dasari
In what can be called a befitting and most deserving sendoff to Dasari, a name that will remain forever in the history, the entire Telugu film industry came to a halt to mourn his death. Celebs are queuing up to pay their last respects to the departed legend.
As a tribute, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has cancelled all the film shootings on Wednesday and also instructed the single screens and multiplexes to stop screening of movies.
Earlier, Telangana state’s Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav announced that the last rites of Dasari will be performed with full state honors.
Dasari’s Moinabad farmhouse is the place where he will be laid to rest on Wednesday. His wife Padma, who left this world in 2011, was also cremated there. A horde of celebs from the film and political fraternities are expected to attend the funeral and pay their last respects to Dasari.
Personalities from not just Tollywood and the Telugu states but from across film industries are conveying their condolences and hailing the contribution of Dasari to Telugu film industry. People from political world have recollected his services to the nation in the authority of a union minister.

Nithya’s Comments on Tollywood
Talented actress Nithya Menen, who has slowed down on signing Telugu films (Janatha Garage is her last one), has made some endearing comments on Tollywood.
When asked about how she found success in a male-dominated Tollywood, Nithya said with a straight face that Telugu film industry is one of the most comfortable places to work as a woman. “In fact, it is slightly more difficult in other places,” she said.
“I agree that Tollywood produces more mass films but people here are very nice and welcoming. Yes, I had to reject a few commercial films and was labeled ‘headstrong’ on occasions but Tollywood has also provided me with opportunities to prove myself,” added Nithya.
Recently, Rakul Preet Singh has also made similar comments when asked about Tollywood. The opinion of actresses like Rakul and Nithya who have done handful of Telugu films count but not of actors like Radhika Apte, who had earlier made scathing comments against Tollywood after acting in just two films.
KCR’s Biopic: Two Heroes Finalised For Lead Role
Director and producer Madhura Sreedhar has announced a couple of months back that he’s coming up with a biopic on Telangana Movement’s forefront leader and the first Chief Minister of newly formed Telangana state, K Chandrasekhar Rao. In fact, the film was due to be launched on June 2nd, so what is the update?
Actually, Madhura Sreedhar is said to have taken some excess time to get the script carved, perfectly. Taking inputs from historians, co-architects of Telangana movement alongside KCR and other political analysts, Sreedhar is leaving no stone unturned to churn out a terrific story. Though the film is not taking off on June 2nd, we hear that couple of actors are zeroed on for the lead role.
None other than talented actor/hero Rajkumar Rao, who resembles young KCR to some extent in his looks, is zeroed on by the team to play the role of Pink Party boss. And Sreedhar also confirmed that they are going to make this biopic in Hindi and Tamil as well along with the Telugu language. For Tamil, they are in talks with hero, composer and producer Vijay Antony to play the lead role.
Keeping himself busy with the script work of KCR’s biopic, Sreedhar has now produced a film titled “Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor” with senior director Pasalapudi Vamsy at the helm. This film is now eyeing June 2nd date.

A look at his Instagram account is, however, shocking his die-hard fans. Ever since his arrival at this next popular social media circuit, Ramu is busy sharing pictures of seductive models with provoking captions. Also, he’s sharing the screenshots of the nude and cliched scenes from the trailer of his web series with some hard hitting captions to it.
Seriously, do RGV needs to create such sensationalism with nude pictures and awkward comments? Actually, he need not flaunt his intense liking for the body of women through these pictures as he has said enough already. Also, these over-dose acts from him are simply spoiling his loyal fanbase as well.
Looking at the likes of K Viswanath, probably Varma should also retire on a good note rather making sound with these unwanted doings. Otherwise, like some big directors who made fun of themselves with their stupid acts during the last phase, he too will face the wrath of audiences.
Get Ready for One More 150!
Move over from Mega Star’s 150th film Khaidi No. 150 which went onto be one of the biggest hits in the industry standing next to Baahubali. Now the latest is that one more 150th film is coming up and it’s from ‘Action King’ Arjun Sarja. Said to be a taut crime thriller, the film’s Tamil and Kannada versions have been named as Nibunan and Vismaya respectively. This is now going to be released in Telugu as Kurukshetra. Arjun is going to be seen as investigation officer Ranjith Kalidoss in the film being directed by Arjun Vaidhyanathan. Varalakshmi Sharathkumar is playing a lead role in the film alongside Arjun.
The makers are planning to release it in July. Arjun is now hoping to bounce back to limelight with the film.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who’s making her way to the top in Hollywood, is currently touring in Germany’s capital Berlin – Incidentally, at the same time when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Germany, as part of his four-nation tour including Spain, Russia and France.
Having learned about Modi’s trip, the 34-year old Bollywood-and-Hollywood star sought Prime Minister’s time to meet in Berlin, to which Modi agreed. Amidst his tight schedules, PM Narendra Modi took out sometime to have a meet with Priyanka and the actress so thrilled that she shared a picture from the meeting and quoted- ‘Thank you for taking the time to meet me. Such a coincidence to be in Berlin at the same time.’
The Indian star has just saw the release of her Hollywood outing ‘Baywatch’, that also has Dwayne Johnson in lead, on 25th May and critics have handed out some extremely bad reviews for the action comedy. Baywatch has Priyanka playing grey role Victoria Leeds and she was too kicked to play the role.
