‘Indiana Jones’ movie marathon: 5 exotic locations from the movie to plan your next trip
Harrison Ford is renowned for portraying several iconic characters in the history of Hollywood. He has received worldwide fandom for his role of Han Solo (“Star Wars”), Rick Deckard (“Blade Runner”) and U.S. President James Marshall (“Air Force One”)Apart from these roles, Ford received international recognition for portrayal of archaeology professor and a treasure hunter Indiana Jones in “Raider of the Lost Ark” (1981). The immense success of the movie led to two more sequels namely “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (1989) and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008).
Indiana Jones movies are known for the exotic locations from all around the world where Indy embarks on various adventures. Fans have always been fascinated by these locations and always look forward to visit some of those.
Zee Studio is all set to air “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” on July 31 at 1 pm. As Indy prepares himself for his next adventure, here are 5 locations from the movies where you can go for your next vacation.
Hule’ia National Wildlife Refuge
Located in Kauai, Hawaii, the iconic jungle chase scenes in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” were shot in this place, even though in the movie it was said to be Peru. One of the most prominent scenes shot here was the famous rolling-boulder one.
Sidi Bouhlel Canyon
One of the major scenes where Indy fought against the Nazis was shown to take place in Egypt in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” However, in reality, it was shot in the desserts of Tozeur, Tunisia. One of the scenes from “Star Wars” movie was also shot here.
La Pallice Port U-boat Pens
The port, which is situated in La Rochelle, France, was used to film the scene where Nazis’ U-boat base of World War II era was shown. Since the port served as the base in real too, Spielberg decided to shoot in the location.
Al Khazneh
Indy was shown to be in pursuit of the Holy Grail in “The Last Crusade.” The palace where the grail was hidden is actually a real-life building known as “The Treasury” which is situated in Petra, Jordan. a giant, ornately carved sandstone temple facade, which dates back to the first century AD.
Monsul Beach
In one of the scenes in “The Last Crusade,” Indy and his father (Sean Connery) were forced to emergency land a plane on a sandy beach. They were being chased by the hostiles who were after Indy’s map. The whole scene was filmed on Monsul Beach in the province of Almería in Andalucía, Spain, in Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park.
Thikka album a bundle of surprises!
Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej’s Thikka will have its audio release event tonight at JRC Convention, Hyderabad. The music album has created good curiosity in people as the album has two Superstars – Dhanush and Simbu rendering one each song. And now there is another addition in the music album.
Neeraja Kona, Popular film stylish and Niece of Writer Kona Venkat penned lyrics for a song in the film. Music director Thaman was very impressed with her writing skills and forced her to write lyrics for one of the songs. The movie will be releasing on August 13th as Independence day Special.
Thikka is being directed by Om 3D fame Sunil Reddy and it also comes with a caption ‘Handle with Care’. It is interesting to note that Sai Dharam Tej has given a chance to Sunil Reddy despite a disastrous debut directorial, Om 3D. Sai Dharam Tej recently made a hat-trick of success with his Summer release, Supreme being the biggest hit of his career.
Kajal sets up a rare Mega Record
Kajal Aggarwal is the lucky girl who will romance Megastar Chiranjeevi in his Prestigious 150th film. With this film, Kajal Aggarwal has got a rare distinction of working with all Mega heroes (barring young heroes). Kajal romanced Pawan Kalyan for the first time recently in Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
She paired up with Ram Charan in Magadheera and Nayak. In Yevadu, she was seen opposite Allu Arjun and now with Chiranjeevi, she completed all the Mega Heroes. Kajal Aggarwal is expected to join the team in the next month. The movie is currently being shot near Chevella where a fight is being canned.
The schedules are chalked out in a way there are no big resting periods as Chiranjeevi is keen to release it for Sankranthi 2017. The yet to be titled film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi starring Vijay. VV Vinayak who recently bagged a failure with Akhil – The Power of Jua is given the chance to direct the film.
Is it too late for Naga Chaitanya?
Naga Chaitanya’s already very much delayed film, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo is finally releasing on August 19th. All the hype on the film is gone due to the delay and the makers will have an uphill task to bring it back. They are planning the Triple platinum disk event of the film on 13th and wants to bring AR Rahman for that.
The ace musician already attended the audio launch event and it has to be seen if he makes it for the second event of the film in his busy schedule. The movie brings the successful combination of Yem Maaya Chesave – Naga Chaitanya and Gautam Menon back but the movie’s delay had wanned out the hype and expectations on the film.
The movie shooting is complete, couple of months ago. Simbu is the main lead in the Tamil version. Manjima Mohan is the female lead in both the versions. Kona Venkat is the presenter of the Telugu Version while his friends are producing the movie. Besides this film, Naga Chaitanya also has Premam which is being planned for September release.
2 Crore alone for VFX of Ravibabu’s Piglet
Our readers are aware that Ravibabu who has got a name for himself as a variety director, is coming up with a film in which a piglet plays a central role. The makers have announced that the movie is being titled ‘Adhugo’. Ravibabu reportedly did study behavioural characteristics of pigs by observing them closely for few months.
The shooting of the film began in March and the director managed to complete the shoot in 40 days. The makers are currently working on the post-production. It is said that they are spending a whopping 2 Crore for the VFX alone while the entire post production will take four months time. The makers have flown in a piglet from Australia for the film shoot.
The team reportedly used a silicon model piglet to shoot some sequences.The director reportedly worked on this idea for one and half year before execution. Newcomers Abhishek and Nabha are playing protagonists in the film where in the piglet plays a crucial role. Suresh Babu is producing the film on his Suresh Productions banner. The movie is likely to release in September.
