US Visa: Pakistan down by 40%; India gains 28%
Amid the growing reports over bemoaning state of movement from India to United States, latest stats hint a good surge in US visas for India whereas a big drop of visas for Pakistan.
According to last two months of data by US state department, the number of non-immigrant visas granted to neighboring country Pakistan have declined by around 40% whereas India witnessed a sharp 28% high when compared with last year’s data. Making no exception to Trump’s strategy of blocking visitors from Muslim-majority nations, the US state department is indirectly giving cold shoulder to Pakistan.
As per records, Pakistanis were granted 3925 & 3973 visas for March and April months respectively. The average number of visas issued (per month) in President Barack Obama’s governance was around 6553. Interestingly, India saw a gradual increase in number of visas issued in last couple of months. For March & April-2017, a massive 87,049 and 97,925 visas were granted by United States against monthly average of 72,082 in the previous year.
In a move to check the trend of fattening immigrants from Muslim-majority nations, President Donald Trump had decided to stop them from entering their country and passed an executive order against the six nations. However, following the intervention of federal judge, the travel ban was halted.
Reacting to monthly-wise visa decline in Pakistan, an official from State Department said, ‘Visa demand is cyclical, not uniform throughout the year and affected by various factors at the local and international level. Visa issuance number tend to increase during peak travel seasons, such as during the summer and the winter holidays, through there may be different trends at the country, nationality, or visa-category level.’
Akhilesh To Fight For AP Special status!
Surprisingly, a non local leader is arriving Andhra Pradesh to participate in the fight for special status to Andhra Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh former Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will attend a dharna organised by AP Congress Committee in Andhra on June 4.
He will take part in the agitational program along with AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi in Vijayawada. It was first time that a non Andhra leader is joining the struggle for the long pending demand to grant special status to the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation.
Rahul Gandhi joined hands with Akhilesh party Samajwadi Party in the just concluded Uttar Pradesh elections but lost.

‘Tollywood is Finest Place to Work’
Beautiful actress Rakul Preet Singh, who is basking in rave reviews for delivering her career best performance in ‘Ra Randoi Veduka Chooddam’ has rated the Telugu film industry as one of the best places to work.
Rakul said that she is fortunate to have been received warmly by Telugu fraternity from day one. ‘I made my debut in Tollywood with Keratam in 2011. Later, I took a two-year gap as I was unsure of whether I wanted to continue as an actress. Then, out of nowhere, Venkatadri Express (2013) happened and my career took a drastic turn with filmmakers offering me one film after another,’ Rakul reminisced.
‘I am glad and feel blessed that I stayed in Tollywood, which is one of the finest industries to work. People here taught me their language, made me better and offered me opportunities to bring the best out of me,’ she added.
Rakul has already bought a sprawling bungalow in Hyderabad and set up a gym franchise in the Telugu states. She often calls Hyderabad as her new home and that she plans to settle here only.
Mahesh Shocks Ram Charan!?
Superstar Mahesh Babu and Mega Power Star Ram Charan are the new Best Friends in Telugu film industry. However, the former has now given a major shock to latter by announcing that his ongoing film Spyder with AR Murugudoss will be releasing for Dasara.
In fact, Ram Charan and Sukumar film has been eyeing Dasara release for longtime and planning also done to release it on September 27. But certainly, it’s a shocker when Mahesh tweeted that Spyder comes for Dasara.
With this, Charan and Sukumar’s film either has to be advanced or postponed. Since the way the film is progressing, advancing the film is not possible. So, the makers are going to miss Dasara which will have a solid 10-day-long holidays. Producers Mythri Movie Makers are also in shock now. Since their next commitment is Mahesh 26 with Trivikram Srinivas, certainly they don’t want to clash it with Mahesh’s Spyder.
And industry sources say there is no chance of Mahesh changing the date as he himself has tweeted about the Spyder release putting rest to all speculations. Now, Charan-Sukumar film may eye for Diwali release i.e in October second week.
