Actor Prabhas has rung an all India record as the trailer of his forthcoming film “Baahubali: The Conclusion” has touched landmark 100 Million views, i.e 10 Crore views on YouTube.

The views of the trailer in all three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and all the cumulative views are recorded as 100 Million views as per the YouTube charts. This is the most-watched trailer of Indian cinema and one among the top 15 viewed trailers in the world.

With this, Prabhas secured an All India record that’s no one would have thought a reality for a Telugu star. Thanks to SS Rajamouli and the magnum opus Baahubali, the film’s first part was a blockbuster and one among the highest grossing films in India. Karan Johar, who presented the first part in Hindi and going to present the second part as well, has been backing the film and is playing vital role in taking the film’s brand to the next level.

As the film’s audio is all set for release on March 26, many are curiously waiting to see what new records its songs would set. Let’s wait and see.

Young mega hero Sai Dharam Tej, who claims to be a big fan of his uncle and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, has defined the mania of Katamarayudu in just three pictures.

On the eve of Katamarayudu’s release day, Tej took to twitter and posted three pics. The first one is a still of Pawan from the film, the second one shows the excited fans throwing papers all over the screen when Pawan appears on it and the third pic is of the massive heap of papers on floor.

These kinds of incidents are very routine in theatres where Pawan’s films release. Similar atmosphere can be seen in all the single screens where Katamarayudu released today. The actor’s charisma doesn’t need factors like combinations, hit music, solid promotions etc. to create hysteria among fans whenever his new film releases.

Trade experts predict that Katamarayudu will break the record of Khaidi No.150 to take the biggest ever opening for any Telugu film.

Known for power-packed performances as much as razor-sharp statements, Kangana Ranaut rang in her 30th birthday yesterday.

As per Mumbai sources she has bought a new bungalow office. Sources close to her inform that the property is close to her Khar residence.

Kangana has been working on its decor and wants it to mirror the typical pahadi vibe of her Manali house, from the stone flooring to the rustic roof. For this, she has once again turned to interior designer Shabnam Gupta for help.

A source says, “It’s a spacious three-storey bungalow. Kangana had always dreamt of her own office space and intends to start work on her directorial project this year. She also hopes to turn producer in the near future.

Once she wraps up Manikarnika, she will immerse herself in her directorial debut. She is expected to make an announcement regarding her next ventures sometime in mid-2017.”

A senior Telugu filmmaker, who has been receiving treatment at a reputed private hospital in Hyderabad for the past one month, has reportedly got the shock of his life after he saw the bill.

The exorbitant bill that the hospital charged was for all the expenses including his treatment, room rent, the suites provided for his family members and the guests that come to visit him and other provisions. Rumor is that upon seeing the bill, he was so miffed that he moved out of the VVIP ward to the next low level ward in the same hospital. The astronomical bill he received has become one of the hot topics in film and political circles.

Being  a well off celebrity, if he himself couldn’t digest the bill then what about middle class people. Can they dare to approach these high-cost private hospitals. Even if the doctors manage to cure the disease, the bill will mentally and emotionally weaken the patient and family.

As Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu hit screens on March 24, a few days ahead of Ugadhi festival, the two Telugu states have been engulfed with festival atmosphere already. Well, the situation is no different in Chennai.

All films of Tollywood star heroes get massive releases in Chennai city. However, Katamarayudu is being released in an unprecedented manner. The apt testimonial for this is while Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ had 62 shows in PVR multiplexes of Chennai, Katamarayudu is having 58 shows, almost equal to a Rajini starrer. Phenomenal!

The situation is no different in other noted theatres in Chennai. For ex. Katamarayudu has been screened in all the nine screens.in Mayajaal on Friday. Only films of star Tamil heroes have achieved this feat so far.

A day before the release of her new film “Phillauri” on Friday, Anushka Sharma, who is also the producer of the film, got big relief as the Bombay High Court struck down a petition filed by a film production company that the film’s story was copied.

Gayatri Cine Production’s representatives Gayatri and Dashrath Rathod had filed the petition two days ago requesting the court to  stop the release of the film for allegedly copying the story of their Gujarati film.

The petitioners also requested the court to serve notices to Fox Star Studios, Phillauri actor and producer Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh along with their company Clean Slate Films for not acquiring the rights of their film legally.

However, the judge did not accept the petition when the film was so close for releasing. He instead imposed Rs 5 lakh fine on the petitioner for wasting valuable time of the court. With the case getting dismissed and a hefty fine imposed on them, the petitioners are mulling over appealing in higher court.

Apart from Anushka Sharma, Phillauri also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma, and Mehreen Pirzada.

Pooja Bhatt, the daughter of renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bahtt, has now confessed that she was addicted to alcohol for several years. ‘I have Scottish genes in me. My grandfather was Scottish and my father, Mahesh Bhtatt, was a voracious drinker until her quit. So, the addiction of drinking came natural to me,’ Bhatt admitted.

“It was last Christmas that I decided to stop this. It is hard but I survived for three months now. It is even harder to explain people why you were not drinking on days like New Year and Christmas,” said Pooja.

She added that she overcame alcohol addiction by first acknowledging that she had a problem and then through self-counselling.

Actor Sameer, who has established himself as a noted character artiste in Tollywood, has revealed an interesting incident that happened between him and Pawan Kalyan.

“Some time back, I wrote negative comments on my facebook page about a highly anticipated film of Pawan that flopped. As a fan of Pawan, I was hurt so I made those comments. The next morning, Naga Babu garu called and scolded me on phone. I later deleted that post,” he recollected.

Sameer continued, “Later, Pawan called me and said that I did not do anything wrong and that I just expressed my opinion. He instead found fault with Naga Babu and asked me to call him and scold. I did not do that and the issue ended without much fuss.”

“Four years later, Trivikram offered me a small role in Attarintiki Daredi. When Pawan saw me on the sets, he called Trivikram to his room, informed him about that incident and asked him, ‘Do you want me or Sameer in your film?. I was tensed and felt that Pawan was angry with me. After some thought, Trivikram chose me. Pawan laughed loud and hugged Trivikram. Then I realized that the duo was playing a prank on me,” Sameer concluded.

Upasana Kamineni said to have planned a mega surprise for hubby-best friend Ram Charan. As Charan would turn a year older coming Monday, Upasana has planned a special holiday vacation. As a surprise, she said to have planned a trip to one of Charan’s favourite destination.

Shruti Haasan, who is currently waiting for the release of ‘Katamarayudu’, is reportedly caught by Bollywood media shooting for a secret assignment with actor Shahid Kapoor.

According to media reports, the duo has collaborated for an ad, the shooting of which is currently underway at Film City, Goregaon. When the duo first spotted together, everyone was surprised as they haven’t signed any film together. Later, it was learnt that they in fact have been roped in as brand ambassadors of a footwear brand.

On work fornt, Shahid is shooting for Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. Besides Katamrayudu, Shruti has her father’s Sabhash Naidu and Sundar C’s magnum opus ‘Sanghamithra’ in her kitty.

In a huge disappointment, the benefit shows of Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu have been cancelled in Hyderabad. Police have denied permission to the midnight shows of the film that triggered panic outside theatres as large number of fans gathered.

Reports earlier had it that special shows would be screened at Bhramarambha theatre in Kukatpally and Gokul theatre in Erragadda. With this, Pawan fans had thronged to theatres and had been waiting to grab their tickets by shelling out high monies.

However, in a last-minute twist, cops have denied permission. While reasons for denial aren’t revealed, organisers confirmed that police rejected permission for the benefit shows. Fans created quite a stir at the theatre and several fans have slept on the road as a protest against cops. Angered fans raised slogans in favour of Pawan Kalyan. To control the situation and bring back normalcy, cops have resorted to minor lathi charge to disrupt fans and clear the traffic.

Although a few moved away, still most of them were hanging in and around theatres hoping that police would permit in the last minute and expecting a last-minute miracle. It’s said that the ticket prices for these benefit shows were priced around Rs 2500 to Rs 3000.

Directed by Dolly, Katamarayudu features Pawan Kalyan, Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Sharrath Marar is producing the film after Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Gopala Gopala on Northstar Entertainment.
