She is being flooded with offers from Telugu cinema industry, but Kajal is currently very busy in Tamil cinema that she couldn’t allot dates for Telugu movies.

Although Kajal’s paycheck in Tollywood is bigger than that of her Kollywood’s salary, the actress is so busy with her prior commitments that she couldn’t take up any new assignments.

She has three Tamil films on hands besides Teja’s Nene Raju Nene Mantri at the moment.

It will take at least a year for Kajal to complete all the films. So until then our makers have to search for other options.

Critically acclaimed director Krish has made diverse films in his short career. After making his debut with a Road film and successfully helming a historical film in his latest attempt, Krish is reportedly planning to try out something new again.

Media reports suggest that Krish has registered ‘Chora’ title under his First Frame Entertainments banner. Going by the title, it may be a heist film or anther periodic film from this unpredictable director. For now, nothing is finalized and we need to wait for some more time to get details.

After proving himself with GPSK as a potential director to helm big projects, Krish wanted to make a socio-fantasy with senior hero Venkatesh. The project however was shelved in discussion stage itself. There was even talk of Krish directing Akshay Kumar in a Bollywood film but no official confirmation has come out in that regard.

Young actress Ulka Gupta, who made her silver screen debut playing the young Rudramadevi in Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudramadevi’ movie, has revealed that she lost many opportunities earlier because of her dark complexion.

In a recent interview, Ulka divulged that she had to face racism in film industry when she was just seven years old. At 19, she said things have not changed yet.

Being very passionate about acting, Ulka started giving auditions for serials right from the age of seven. Most of the times, the reason for serial makers turning down her was her dark skin. She said that she was replaced in some successful serials as well due to her dark complexion.

‘Makers think that irrespective of talent, fair skinned girls bring lot of attention to serials,’ she rued.

Class music director Anup Rubens, who surprised everyone by bagging a mass entertainer as big as Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Katamarayudu’, has reportedly signed to score music for another big project, Balayya’s 101st film to be directed by Puri Jagannath.

From a combination as massy as Balakrishna Nandamuri and Puri Jagannath, one would expect full mass songs. If not Devi Sri Prasad, at least Thaman was expected to be brought on board for this project but Puri opted for Anup.

One can’t downplay Anup’s talent but his rise to stardom is attributed to his class compositions. Although he has scored for powerful films like Katamarayudu and NTR’s Temper, he is yet to be recognized as a potential composer for mass movies.

In what could be a biggest-ever TV deal in Indian cinema, the satellite rights of Rajinikanth and Shankar’s 2.0 have been sold for a staggering 110 Crore. Zee TV has bagged the TV rights of the film for this staggering price. It’s said that the deal includes the rights of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions.

Made with a whopping Rs 350 Crore budget, 2.0 is the most-awaited film of the year and most costliest Indian film ever made. Sequel to Rajini and Shankar’s blockbuster Robot (Enthiran in Tamil), the film features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the baddie opposite Rajini and Amy Jackson has replaced Aishwarya Rai from the original.

Ever since Shankar had announced sequel to Robot, the film has been in the headlines. Shankar has roped in Hollywood stunt choreographer Kenny Bates who worked for action-heavy flicks like Pearl Harbour, Transformers and Die Hard. While V Srinivas Mohan, of Baahubali fame, is the VFX designer, Oscar Award-winning musician AR Rahman has scored the music.

It can be noted that Srinivas Mohan had stated that the 2.0’s VFX are nothing less than a Hollywood film and also said that 2,0 has special effects much grander than my his works Robot and Baahubali.

Yesteryear actress Kasthuri has create a storm in Tollywood by accusing a senior top Telugu hero of sexually harassing her.

Kasthuri, who acted in Telugu films such as Nippu Ravva, Annamayya, Chilakkottudu, Aakasa Veedhilo, Maa Aayana Bangaram etc. said that a Telugu hero was the reason for the abrupt end of her career. She refused to reveal his name.

‘I have acted with him in only one film. When I refused to sleep with him, he started treating me badly on the sets. He has very high ego and he doesn’t like to hear ‘No’ from anyone. He even forced me out of two films for not surrendering to his sexual advances,’ Kasthuri revealed during an interview given to an English daily.

Kasthuri has reportedly given this interview after she recently returned to Chennai from the US, where she is settled.
