Ranaragini, a women’s group from Goa, which happens to be a wing of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, has petitioned the Goa State Women’s Commission to ban the condom ads featuring Sunny Leone. At a time when Sunny’s condom ad for Manforce brand is being widely published in front pages of newspapers from the last couple of days, this demand has come to the front.

Looking at the newly released uncut Jasmine Condoms ad, one wonders what is the part in that commercial that seriously worried these agitators. Of course, Sunny is better dressed than a Deepika Padukone in Happy New Year songs or an Alia Bhatt in other films.

Then came the clarity, this Women’s Group is demanding for removal of Sunny Leone’s ad vinyl boards that are stickered on the Road Transport buses in Goa. Well with the state being a hub for tourists from across the globe, maybe the ads serve the purpose, but the agitators claimed that the ad is objectifying women. Oops!!

If all goes as planned and no one picks up for a fresh date, both the high-budgeted projects will tentatively light screens on same day – which would eventually harm the box-office performance of both films.

Director Boyapati Sreenu has suddenly scored a sensational hit in the form of Sarrainodu but again he failed to use the hype that was around him during the film’s release. He’s now working with Bellamkonda Srinivas and may work with Megastar Chiranjeevi if everything goes well.

Cut to the point, currently, a teaser of Raj Tarun’s latest film Kittu Unnadu Jagratha is grabbing eyeballs for its punch dialogue on Boyapati. Actually, a fake baba, played by Raghubabu, utters a dialogue, “Nenu Narakadam Start Chestey Nadhilo Neellu Kaadhu Netturu Paarutundi” and asks his assistant to send the dialogue to Seenu. Then his assistant, played by Vennela Kishore, innocently asks, “Trivikram Sreenu or Vaitla Sreenu?” for which the Baba shoots back, “Boyapati Sreenu”.

No doubt this is an epic satire. Ironically this joke/satire is very true as Boyapati’s recent film Sarrainodu also revolves around violence, bloodshed and killings only. Cinema lovers feel that Boyapati should take these satires seriously and make something like that of a Bommarillu. Yes, he should make a family entertainer with no fights and prove his mettle.

Are you listening Boyapati? Can you really keep those knives, swords, rods aside to make a family film? Will you stop spilling of blood as if like an over-flowing Coke tin? Wonder how Boyapati will answer these questions. Wait for his next!!

Megastar Chiranjeevi is sure enjoying the gigantic success of Khaidi No 150 which has crossed even his own expectations. At the same time he’s also busy fine tuning script of Uyyalawada by sitting with Paruchuri Brothers and Surender Reddy.

In his free time, these days Chiranjeevi is busy lending his voice to other young heroes in the tinsel town. After narrating Ghazi movie, he did the same for Gunturodu as well. An interesting discussion is doing rounds about these voice over acts of the matinee idol. Actually Chiranjeevi is very close to all these youngsters and hence does this voiceover act for free. But why are not any videos of him dubbing in the sound recording studio are coming out?

We hear that Chiranjeevi will do the voiceover but is not interested in becoming part of the promotional campaigns of these films. That’s the reason he finishes his dubbing act at an unknown time and his arrival to studio is also kept as a top secret. Otherwise if his presence at sound recording theatre is publicised then surely the makers will bring a 5D camera to get a making video recorded.

So should we now say that Chiranjeevi’s voiceover is for free, but not his appearance in videos? Maybe he want to limit his presence only to set visits.

Now that Puri Jagannadh has got chance to direct a top star Nandamuri Balakrishna, he is pushing agency to do the casting process.

Generally, top heroines or popular faces are used for top star movies but Puri has now given casting call for two heroines (female lead) and villain character as well as for other roles. Casting call is given for small movies.

But Puri is planning to introduce two heroines with his agency for Balakrishna’s 101st movie. The movie will have three heroines. Main heroine will be a top actress, for other two female leads he has given casting call.

From a boy next door character in Yevade Subramanyam, Pellichoopulu to a commercial flavored hero role in Dwaraka, there is a big transition in Vijay Devarakonda.

However, the young hero explains that he’s enjoying the process of exploring all sort of scripts and Dwaraka is a new learning experience working under a bookworm director MSR.

“I heard Dwaraka, Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy scripts at a time. But Pellichoopulu went into production mode early and later rest of two happened. My role in Dwaraka is completely contrasting to that of soft, urban Prashanth in Pellichoopulu.

It’s a different setup of how a youngster becomes thief for survival and followed by some uncontrolled incidents make him a Godman. This is a complete commercial format,” Vijay says.

“India is a spiritual country and we find Babas in every local town or village. So, Dwaraka connects well with our audience sensitivity. Most importantly, the film needed a budget and huge star cast.

At the same time, this is character driven and not hero centric. There are five to six crucial characters which make Dwaraka riveting,” Vijay adds.

Although Dwaraka was planned for last year November release, due to demonetization it’s pushed to February and the mad rush with many movies in release queue, it is finally locked for March 3rd.

“Fundamental USP of Dwaraka is its tight and unexpected twists in the story. You will find it more enjoyable once you watch the whole theme on big screen.
