Actress Charmee Kaur has been in the industry for more than decade-and-a-half years and after such a long stint as an actress, she’s hardly finding offers coming her way. So, the buxom beauty decided to don the new hat in the industry.

With an experience of supervising the production work for film Jyothi Lakshmi, Charmee is now prepping up to widen her opportunities and begin a new job in Tollywood. The Mantra girl is already part of Puri Connects, a talent hunt team and management company, and now looking forward to oversee the publicity formalities of Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming directorial ‘Rogue’.

With a view to promote the film all over, Charmee seems to have instructed her PR team to make sure that ‘Rogue should hit the movie headlines at least 2 times a day.’ Since the actress never had a dominant acting career, she is expecting to have a fairly settled career as a film campaigner.

The film Rogue marks the debut of Ishaan, younger brother of Kannada producer CR Kumar, and will have a bilingual release – Telugu and Kannada. So, let’s hope Charmee will lay down a marker as the publicist and producer.

Director VV Vinayak said to have got bored of routine and formulaic commercial films that he’s been churning out. Now Vinayak is now in retrospection mood.

After making lackluster films like Alludu Seenu and Akhil, Vinayak had directed Chiru’s landmark Khaidi No.150. Although Khaidi turned out to be one of the highest grossers, the film hasn’t garnered any name to Vinayak in particular. Chiru has walked away with all the laurels, glory.

On top of it the film being the remake of Tamil film Kaththi and not being the original film has had its impact. As the makers didn’t make any major changes in the script or execution, neither critics nor audiences have given thumbs up to Vinayak. He realised that he’s being stereotyped with masala films.

This said to have made him ponder over. Vinayak apparently told his close aides that he wants to try different. Vinayak has now asked a few story writers to come up with unique stories for his next film. And he said to have expressed to try out-of-box films like Bollywood. Writers team is now busy weaving a story for Vinayak’s next.

Since Vinayak isn’t a writer by himself and he is only a director who has mastered in taking and elevating scenes. The director of films like Aadi, Chennakesava Reddy, Dil, Tagore, Adhurs is now keenly wanting to prove himself once again. And said to be trying to do something really out-of-the-box. While the abduction and molestation of actress Bhavana is receiving a massive backlash from social media users and celebrities, Malayalam actors like Prithvi Raj posted a message to stand up in support of her during these tough times. On other hand, the police investigation is unmasking shocking facts about this incident and people who involved in it.

Actress Bhavana was returning from Thrissur to Kochi when the incident took place. It all started off then her driver Martin hit a tempo traveler and men from than vehicle joined Martin and drove the car around the city for more then 2 hours. In those couple of hours, she was badly molested and was harassed sexually. In this regard, the police authorities have already arrested seven suspects including the victim’s previous driver Sunil Kumar, who reportedly for her in the past.

Having taken both drivers into custody, Police officials officially list Sunil as prime suspect and he also is said to have several criminal cases registered against him in the past. Sunil, Martin and others who’re part of this incident have mediated her movements through text messages & more than 40 calls, according to the police report.

Arresting all seven suspects and registering the molestation case under IT act against them, Kerala police are further investigating into the case wherein other details would be expected soon.

Rakul Preet has pulled Sai Dharam Tej’s leg in a recent interaction with media. Going all out in teasing his Winner co-star, Rakul said that she would “die” if Tej proposes her.

When asked Sai Dharam Tej how would he propose Rakul, Rakul intervened and said, “Please don’t propose me. If you propose, I’ll die.” (laughs). Sai didn’t budge and further requested Rakul, “Please give me one chance Rakul.” But Rakul looked stubborn and she didn’t pay a heed to Sai’s request.

The Rangoon actress, who was at ‘The Voice India Season-2’ program to promote her film, was pissed off with the way she was mimicked by anchor Sugandha Mishra and went on to say that ‘she absolutely want to slap her for that enact.’

Having known about the mimicry skills of Sugandha, the show judges singer Salim Merchant and Singer Shaan have forced her to enact Kangana in front of her- which invited an unexpected & scary response.

Considering it as a bad imitation of her voice, Kangana reportedly said, ‘I feel like slapping her.’ Although entire unit on the sets were shocked to hear it, Sugandha took it nonchalantly and quickly switched over to another topic. This now remains the topic of much discussion in Bollywood.

Rangoon, a period war drama that revolves between three characters, has Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Said Ali Khan in lead roles and it’s a Vishal Bharadwaj directorial. The film is releasing on 24th February.

Trusting on the young talents are PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainments who released Ghazi in three languages yesterday opening to positive talk and word of mouth publicity.

Artists like Rana, Taapsee, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni are a rarity in world cinema and their presence is magnified with technical brilliance including a deft production design accommodating top notch CG used in narrating a 120+ minutes film with a sustained marine mood. S21 submarine, PNS Ghazi sets and their 3D models used in final CG are exclusively made in India with technical detailing. Torpedo shootings from both the submarines and war scenes in Ghazi are exclusively programmed by Indian teams. Ghazi is one more International quality product made within India.

The first look of Allu Arjun from Duvvada Jagannadham might have been opened to good applause on Saturday, but the unwarranted controversy has took away that happiness as the film’s shoot was stopped in the midway.

Going into details, the shooting of DJ was going on in Karnataka’s Beluru Chennakesava temple shrine. Only after taking all necessary permission from temple authorities, a set has been erected in the temple premises and the unit was all set to begin its shoot.

Apparently the set has a Shiva linga and that led to the controversy. Since it’s a Vaishnava temple, many devotees and locals have raised serious objections to having Shiv ling in temple premises. Also, they said to have raised concerns against to shooting in temple premises.

It started small, but sooner it turned out to be big. This led to huge ruckus and makers had to stop the film’s shoot midway and left the spot respecting the sentiments of locals. Few shots of the temple were taken and makers returned. Now director Harish Shankar is planning to shoot the planned sequences in Telangana or AP.

This is said have incurred loss as the expenditure on set, efforts of workers went waste and makers are now forced to look for alternative.

Though there have been reports of Sai Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan’s acting debut for a while, there was no confirmation yet. But putting rest to it, none other than Saif Ali Khan has formally confirmed his daughter’s debut. Saif said that daughter Sara would make her debut in Karan Johar film. He added that Karan Johar is brilliant with newcomers.

Karan in the past has launched newcomers like Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. As per few reports, Sara would be making her debut with Student of the Year 2, sequel to 2012’s Student of the year. Actor Rana Daggubati on Saturday remembered his iconic grandfather D. Ramanaidu, a very popular film producer, on his second death anniversary. He thanked him for teaching everything.

Naidu died after losing a long fought battle to prostate cancer.

“Thank you for teaching me everything I know. Thank you for looking out for me from the heavens above. Miss you more with each passing day,” Rana tweeted.

In his illustrious career lasting over five decades, Naidu produced over 100 films across multiple Indian languages.

Some of his best films include “Jeevana Tarangalu”, “Soggadu”, “Prem Nagar” and “Anari” among others.

Meanwhile, Rana is currently enjoying the successful run of his bilingual war drama “Ghazi”.

Failing to reach the expectations and enormous hype before the release, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali failed to impress fans and audience when it reached theaters. The film ended up as a mediocre in Kollywood while it’s a disaster in Tollywood.

Director PA Ranjith received huge criticism from fans for failing to showcase Superstar in away they all wanted. But, the actor has no complaints against him and he’s in fact getting ready for another project with the young director. Yes…actor Rajinikanth, who is now filming for second installment of Shankar’s Robot (2 point 0), is likely to work with Ranjith again.

As per a source, Rajini gave nod to a mafia-based story that was narrated by Ranjith, although he failed to deliver him a super hit with Kabali. Touted to be rolled out by actor’s son in law Dhanush, under Wunderbar Films, the film is expected to hit floors in May this year. The principal part of photography of the untitled film will happen in Mumbai. In the meanwhile, the Superstar will finish off the shooting part of Robot 2.0 and completely devote his time for this film.

Given that Dhanush and Rajinikanth never shared screen space together, except for a little time in Kuselan song, one wonders if they both are going to seen in a single frame. However, more details about the project are expected to be revealed soon.

Move over from ‘Cheppanu Brother’ controversy. It seems to be turning into Number Brother as Bunny’s DJ scooter and Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh bike have same number plate.

While the number of Bunny’s Duvvada Jagannadham scooter is AP16EA2425, Pawan’s bike in Gabbar Singh is AP27GS2425. Both have “2425” in common. Apparently, ‘2425’ is Harish Shankar’s vehicle number.

Interestingly, the teaser of Duvvada Jagannadham is going to be released for Mahashivaratri coinciding with the muhurat of Gabbar Singh teaser that was also released for Mahashivaratri.

The shockingly ‘poor’ box office collections for his latest offering Om Namo Venkatesaya has not just stunned trade experts but it even made the film’s lead actor Nagarjuna speechless.

Apparently, Nagarjuna was pretty confident on the film. Nag usually never makes over-the-top statements before a film’s release. But he was so confident on Om Namo Venkatesaya that he went onto state that it’d be his career’s best film till date.

Ahead of the film’s release, Nag also stated that he wasn’t tensed or feared for the first time in his career. Om Namo Venkatesaya is Nag’s 96th film and the actor is playing a mentalist in his next Raju Gari Gadhi-2, a horror thriller.

Meanwhile, from now on wards Nag wants to think twice before choosing appropriate release time for his films besides choosing good roles.

Rana Daggubati’s Ghazi has opened to good start. Thanks to unanimous reviews and good word-of-mouth from premieres, the underwater war drama clocked in good Day 1 numbers.

The film got 50 Lakh share in Nizam on the first day. Barring Baahubali, this is highest ever opening for Rana’s film in Nizam. The situation isn’t much different in Krishna, Guntur, Uttharandhra, West, East, Nellore and Ceded.

However, the figures from US and rest of US, Tamil Nadu, Hindi are due. It’s learnt that the film also clocked in good numbers in US. Meanwhile, as per the buzz, the second day said to have started strong note.
