Natural tar Nani, who has completed a double hat-trick with the success of his latest release ‘Nenu Local’, has thanked Telugu movie lovers for receiving his films so well.

Via a video byte, Nani said that he was a bit disappointed earlier as for the first time he wasn’t in India on the day of his film’s release. ‘You have however made the film a great success and placed me at a position which I hadn’t thought of achieving even in my dreams,’ said the elated actor.

The talented actor cited the busy shooting schedules of his new film for his late response to thank everyone for making ‘Nenu Local’ a big hit.

Nani added that the responsibility on his shoulders has gone higher and he promised that he would work double hard in order to meet the expectations of Telugu audiences on him and his films.

He is currently shooting for debutante Siva’s film in the US. He will next act in the direction of Venu Sriram for a project to be produced by Dil Raju.

Even though Nagarjuna Akkineni is well aware that devotional genre is a risky attempt in this age, he went on to do ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ as he had high confidence on the subject and the visualization of K Raghavendra Rao. It seems that neither Nag’s commendable effort nor the positive talk is helping the film at box office.

Trade reports revealed that the collections of ONV aren’t growing over the weekend even with positive talk. Now, one could imagine how this film will be performing in the coming week days.

Popular actor, MAA President Rajendra Prasad’s wife Vijaya Chamnudeswari got involved in check bounce case. It is coming out that Chamundeswari took Rs 25 lakhs from distributor and industrialist Jaya Bharat Reddy, Kadapa in 213 and signed on papers promising to return the money in six months.

Chamundeswari finally gave him two checks of Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 15 lakhs in June 2016 and asked him to present in August. But he got shock when bank officials informed them that they got bounced back.

Jayabharat Reddy approached court and his lawyer arguing his case said it was painful that the checks bounced. Court postponed the case to Feb 21st. Now Rajendra Prasad’s wife getting involved in check bounce case became hot topic in the industry.

It is already known that Star India network acquired MAA TV owned by the likes of Nagarjuna Akkineni, Chiranjeevi, Nimmagadda Prasad etc. in February 2015. Two years later, the channel’s new name and logo have been launched now.

Megastar Chiranjeevi unveiled the new logo of Star Maa channel this morning. The logo is a replica of Star India channels. Speaking at the event, Chiru said that the association of MAA and Star Network will help the Telugu entertainment channel scale new heights.

Chiru added that the first episode of ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu 4’ would be telecast on Star MAA at 9:30 pm tomorrow. The fourth season will have a total of 60 episodes and they will be telecast on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4 days a week.

Songs composed by Thaman are peppy. Dialogues lacked the punch. Production Values were lavish. Producers did spent huge sum, else the horse races wouldn’t have come out that way.

Overall, ‘Winner’ seems to be a well-packaged commercial subject. ‘Maha Shivarathri’ release (February 24th) could fetch good openings.

Ever since the film is released, I’m flooded with compliments from industry, friends. Chiranjeevi garu got emotional after watching the premiere. He had shown me the wet tissues that he used to wipe his tears during climax. I’m so elated with his response. I’m honoured.

After returning to home after watching the film, Amala sat next to me for over an hour, held my hand tightly and just stayed with me by looking into my eyes. She had liked the film very much. Power Star Pawan Kalyan was invited to participate in Indian Conference of 2017 at Harvard University. Before that, he has given a speech in New Hampshire and made an amazing remark on his movies.

In his powerful speech, he has spoken about politics, movies, social service, etc. Coming to films, he claimed that he was never satisfied with movies and he would have stopped movies if his directorial debut Johnny was a hit. He went further and said that his Johnny flop made him realize that he has to work more for getting hit and get money. He declared that he would work in movies until he has strength.

The theatrical rights of Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu for Nizam have been bought by Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy. It’s no wonder and expected as Nithiin and his father Sudhakar have been in touch with Pawan and producer Sharrath Marar.

Corroborating the news through a Tweet, Nithiin said that Asean Films and Sreshth Movies are distributing the film in Nizam. However, Nithiin hasn’t revealed the numbers. It’s learnt that the film was bought for a fancy price.Directed by Kishore Kumar Parthasani, the film had low buzz till the release of its teaser. With the film’s teaser receiving thunderous response as it recorded nearly 7 million views, the expectations have shot up to sky.

It can be noted that Sudhakar Reddy was the guest for the Pooja ceremony of Katamarayudu. Since then, it’s buzzed that the film’s Nizam rights would go to Sudhakar Reddy. Proving it right, the film has been bagged by Sreshth Movies.

Telugu films are under performing this weekend. Not a single movie scored decent collection. This is a big shock to the distributors. This year all the new releases have got stunning openings but this weekend, new releases as well as earlier movies have scored way below.

Nagarjuna’s “Om Namo Venkatesaya” just grossed mere 27k dollars on Friday. Its Thursday premeire shows were also shockingly low. It needs to perform on extraordinary note to show any growth over this weekend.Suriya’s “Singam 3” also reported just 46k dollars on Friday. The movie’s overall collections so far including Tamil and Telugu versions are just about $100+k.

On the other hand, “Nenu Local” is also not showing any growth this weekend. On Friday, it got just $21k dollars. It needs another 120k dollars to touch the million-dollars mark. So the movie needs to perform very strongly this weekend.
