Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran has emerged as the new golden leg in tollywood with three successive hits to her name.

After her debut Malayalam film ‘Premam’ became a gigantic blockbuster across South, she forayed into tollywood by playing a small yet crucial role in Trivikram’s super hit film ‘A..Aa’.Later, she reprised her role from the original in Telugu remake of ‘Premam’ and scored another hit. Her latest release ‘Shatamaanam Bhavati’ has also earned the hit tag, making it three hits in a row for the Mallu beauty.

The lucky lady has already pocketed the biggest project of her career, a film that could launch her into the league of top heroines, Ram Charan-Sukumar combo. After bagging Charan’s film, Anpuma has reportedly decided not to accept small films until this film’s result comes out. If this film becomes a hit, then without a doubt she would become the most sought after actress for star heroes.

Even if the film doesn’t bring desired result for her, with the success rate she has, Anupama could easily grab potential medium range films. As Samangha, Kajal, Nayan etc. have almost vacated the places of top heroines, there is a great opportunity in tollywood for Anupama.

After the success of Premam, Naga Chaitanya has collaborated with director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala who earlier delivered biggest hit in Nag’s career – ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’.

Since Soggade turned out to be hit and title too played its role, Kalyan decided to have a pure Telugu title to his ongoing film with Chaitu as well and to which Chaitu readily agreed.

While rumours had it that the film would be titled as Ninne Pelladatha, however, the team chose not to name it after that.

Latest buzz is that the film would be called as Allari Alludu which again is the title of Nag’s previous film. Apparently, this film with Kalyan is on the lines of Nag’s classic Ninne Pelladatha.

Rakul Preet Singh is paired opposite Chaitu in this romantic entertainer. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music.

Meanwhile, Chaitu has also agreed to do another film with director Krishna and its story was penned by David Nathan, the writer of Nani-starrer Gentelman. David is presently working on the script.

Mumbai: Actress Taapsee Pannu gatecrashed a real life pre-wedding celebration to promote her upcoming film “Runningshaadi.com”. She says she was very thrilled and nervous to do it.

“I was so thrilled and slightly nervous to execute this idea. Nothing can be more special to play the first song of our film in a ‘real shaadi’. I took the risk of gatecrashing the sangeet ceremony and to my surprise, the guests there welcomed me with equal enthusiasm,” Taapsee said in a statement.

Taapsee attended the celebrations at a suburban hotel here on Tuesday evening. She was decked up in Indian attire and surprised the to be bride and groom, who were living up their sangeet ceremony.

Taapsee got the music stopped, and soon took centre stage to explain the purpose of her visit to everyone. She then invited the guests to shake a leg with her on the song “Dimpy de naal bhaage Bunty”, sung by late Punjabi singer Labh Janjua.

The “Pink” star said that the bride and groom had no idea about her visit.

“They were totally taken back. The entire gathering danced with me on my song. It was a Gujarati wedding, but the way they did a Punjabi jig was priceless. I shall remember this experience for a lifetime because this is the first time ever I have gatecrashed a wedding function,” she added.

Sunitha is one of the most beautiful singers in Tollywood. She is also popular TV host and equally popular dubbing artiste.

She burst into Tollywood scene with the hit number “Ee Velalo Neevu Emi Chestu Untavo” from “Gulabi”. Since then she has crooned hundreds of songs in many movies.

Since the release of the movie, I have been getting lot of calls from friends and fans appreciating my work. I have given my voice to Shriya’s role. “Krish has sculpted the movie beautifully and Shriya gave splendid performance which gave inspiration to lend the voice in such way,” she added.

She also thanked all the technicians, cast and crew who made her journey successful and made her to complete 750 movies.

Balakrishna is visiting US this weekend to thank the audience for making GPSK a hit in the territory.

It is the first Balakrishna’s film to gross over $ 1 Million and is still holding pretty well. Buyers are hoping that Balakrishna’s visit will give GPSK an additional boost at the box office.

Balakrishna fans are reportedly asked to watch GPSK again in this weekend so that the film could go past $ 2 Million mark in US.

Pawan Kalyan is the new brand ambassador for the weavers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Touched by the problems of weavers, the actor-politician has voluntarily came forward to endorse the handloom products and agreed to be the brand ambassador for weavers. This is confirmed by Jana Sena party in a statement released to media.

The members of the Telangana Akhilapaksha Vedika, Andhra Pradesh Chenetha Karmika Sangham have met Jana Sena chief at his party office on Tuesday evening. The representatives of weavers have brought the deaths of weavers in AP & Telangana due to starvation to Pawan’s notice.

In Telangana alone, over 45 weavers have committed suicide in the last two-and-a-half years. Pawan has listened patiently to the problems of the weavers and extended his support to them. The weavers said to have pointed the functioning of state, central governments for their problems.

Meanwhile, the weavers have invited Pawan Kalyan to Chenetha Satyagraham and Padmasali Garjana to be held in Mangalagiri of Guntur next month. Pawan has agreed to be part of it and confirmed his presence.

It was in 2001, when Pawan Kalyan last endorsed for soft-drink brand Pepsi.

While these collections are humongous, Khaidi No.150 must perform stupendously to reach the overall breakeven mark of 90 crores put a smile on the buyers’ faces.

Noted cinematographer, film producer and director Srinivas Reddy Vuyyuru passed away on Tuesday. After prolonged illness, he breathed his last in a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 56.

Srinivas Reddy is the brother of director Sagar under whom director Sreenu Vaitla and several other popular directors in the industry of this age have started their careers as assistants.

Srinivas Reddy had recently directed film Charuseela with Rashmi in the female lead and Brahmanandam’s son Gautam as the male lead. The movie released in Sep 2016 had failed at the Box Office.

Before making his directorial debut, he earlier produced several films including Jagadekaveerudu, Ammadonga with Superstar Krishna, Pavitra Prema with Balakrishna and Puri Jagannadh-Jagapathi Babu’s Bachi. He was well-known to industry people as cinematographer as he had started his career as a cameraman.

His final rights will take place tomorrow in Hyd.

One of Tollywood’s leading producers Dil Raju is enjoying the success of his Sankranthi release, Shatamanam Bhavathi. During a promotional event in Kakinada, Dil Raju hailed his heroes Ravi Teja (Bhadra) and Nani (Nenu Local) to no limits.

Dil Raju said that there have been no stars like Ravi Teja and Nani since the past 30 years who entered film industry without any background and became star heroes.

Dil Raju went on to compare both Ravi Teja and Nani to self made legendary stars. “Stars like NT Ramarao, ANR, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Sobhan Babu who ruled the golden era of Telugu Cinema,” Dil Raju said.

Adding further, Dil Raju said that Chiru entered the scene around 30 years ago and rose to stardom. After Chiranjeevi, only Ravi Teja and Nani are the actors who made it to the top with their hard work.

The shooting of actor Raj Tharun’s forthcoming romantic comedy Kittu Unnadu Jagratha is nearing its completion. The movie is releasing on February 17th. The fresh and entertaining teasers have created a huge buzz for the movie.

The makers have planned to include an item song in the last minute. To make this song stand out as a special attraction in the movie, they initially roped in the hot and voluptuous anchor Rashmi Gautam to sizzle in the song.

However, popular heroine and item songs specialist Hamsanandini has been roped in and Rashmi was shown the exit door. While the exact reason is unknown, T-town circles are abuzz that Rashmi had to quit the song as she quoted a bomb to shake her leg in the song.

To those who are wondering about the Raj Tharun and Hamsanandini pairing on screen, the little birdie tells us that Raj will not be part of the song and it will be Hamsa’s solo number. Kittu Unnadu Jagratha is being directed by Vamsi Krishna and produced by Anil Sunkara. Majnu actress Anu Emmanuel is the film’s heroine.

When Baahubali released a couple of years ago, everyone went gaga over the film’s monumental scale. However, veteran actress Jamuna ridiculed the movie terming it as a “stupid film”.

The same Jamuna watched a special premiere of Balakrishna’s  Gautamiputra Satakarni along with Balayya and praised it to no limits. Jamuna called the movie a “monumental effort” by Balayya, director Krish and the producers.

Jamuna praised Balayya’s acting and getup Satakarni and appreciated Krish’s detailing and  painstaking efforts to bring in such a spectacular film. Jamuna also heaped praises on the film’s authentic Satavahana period setting and not distorting history.

Jamuna was so impressed with Balayya’s performance that she even landed a kiss on his forehead. Icing on the cake is that Balayya patiently stood next to Jamuna throughout her speech. Balayya’s dad, the legendary NT Ramarao, shared screen space with Jamuna in numerous hit movies in the past.

Ram Charan has undergone for a remarkable makeover not only physically but mentally as well for ‘Dhruva’. It is heard that Charan had to cut loose a bit from the grip of his father and megastar Chiranjeevi to do a gutsy film like ‘Dhruva’.

When Charan was confused over what kind of films to do after the disaster of ‘Orange’, Chiru took the mantle and helped the young mega heir score successive hits with mass entertainers. In this process, Charan scored commercial success, thanks to solid mega fan base but couldn’t earn the love of average movie goer.

When the proposal of ‘Thani Oruvan’ remake (Dhruva) came to Charan, he identified it as a potential film for an image makeover. He didn’t even listen to the story of Charan’s film with Sukumar and the intelligent filmmaker was given full authority regarding the film. Charan has reportedly asked Sukumar to make the film in his style without bothering about the box office result.

Going by the tastes of new age Telugu movie lovers, Charan looks to be determined to win his due respect.

Kajal Aggarwal has admitted that she has a less important role in Khaidi No.150 and she says she is aware of it even before joining the film.

“Of course, I’m aware of it. I’ve seen the original and I’ve also spoken to Vinay garu about it before shooting. I’m okay with it. My role is limited and I’m fine. That’s the requirement of the role. She’s there for supporting. She is active with NGO and exuberant girl. And she’s there only for limited period of time. I was obviously okay with the role,” explained Kajal.

“Since it’s double role of Chiranjeevi sir, I knew the prime focus is going to be him. I’m totally okay with it. Some associations, you don’t need to see the character for. Some people you want to work with, not stories,” said Kajal.

Kajal quickly added that she was on the cloud nine when she got the chance to pair up with Chiranjeevi in his landmark film.

Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal has gained weight for Khaidi No.150. Apparently, director Vinayak has asked Kajal to put on weight and she readily accepted as it’s Chiru’s 150th film.

Obliging the same, Kajal gained extra 3 Kilos for the film. Confirming the same, “Yes, I’ve put on weight. I gained 3 kilos. If I gain even 1 kilo weight, it actually shows on me.”
