GPSK has posted a share of Rs 30.26 Cr in 6 days in the Telugu states.

If the performance in the Telugu states is commendable, the film is doing wonders at the US box office. GPSK is inching closer to USD 1.4 million and is performing better than the other two competitors. From here on, even USD 2 million looks a possibility.

Even as the fate of Sharwanand-starrer Satamanam Bhavati is still hanging in balance, the film’s director Satish Vegnesa has hit a jackpot.

Impressed with his work in his debut directorial, superstar Nagarjuna has nodded to do a film with writer-turned-director Satish. What’s more? The film will also see Naga Chaitanya in a full-length role.

This yet-to-be-titled film is going to be produced by Dil Raju under his home banner. It is said that it is also going to be on the lines of family drama as Dil Raju considered it as a safe bet to recover his returns.

Meanwhile, Nag is quite busy with pipeline of projects. Yet he is making time for new directors. Presently working with Omkar for Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Nag will next team up with Chandoo Mondeti, Kalyan Krishna again. Besides this, Nag is busy listening to the scripts of several directors in the industry.

Television Commercials (TVCs) or advertising films (ads) are the most effective promotional tools for any brand to create awareness about their products. Over these years, there have been innumerable ad films that made a lasting impression on consumers.

The latest TVC that has become quite popular for its heart touching content is the popular electronics giant Samsung’s ‘We will take care of you, wherever you are’ ad film. Released on December 30th, the ad film has so far received 51,136,986 views with more than 40,000 likes on YouTube.

This 4 minute ad film shows the story of a young Samsung service engineer travelling through the rough terrains of a picturesque hilly Indian village to attend to a customer complaint. On reaching home, the engineer is taken aback to see that the customer is visually impaired young girl.

The engineer repairs the girl’s television and the girl rings a bell and calls her other visually inspired friends living in the hostel. The girl then keeps a channel in which her hostel mate and her best friend takes part in a singing competition. This puts a smile on the faces of the young children and of course the Samsung service engineer.

Samsung India launched this nationwide digital and television campaign to showcase its initiative to take customer service to consumers living in the distant parts of the country.

NTR Jr’s ‘Temper’ stands as one of the memorable films in the actor’s career. However, the very thought of its remake is getting flak from NTR’s fans given the names that are doing rounds to replace NTR.

In a first of its kind in Telugu film industry, the trailer of Balayya’s Gautamiputra Satakarni has got record 1 Lakh likes on YouTube. The trailer of historic magnum opus directed by Krish crossed 7 million views on the dashboard and still being liked, appreciated.

The film already shattered all previous BO records of Balayya and is emerging as highest grosser in his career till date. In US alone, the film grossed 13,64,211 USD [Rs 9.27 Crore] till Monday and still rock steady in US.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna is all set to visit to US to promote the film which is already doing phenomenally there.

Until a year ago, Samantha was the most sought after top actress in tollywood but the situation has changed drastically once her relationship with Naga Chaitanya was made official.

Samantha has been reiterating for the past few months that she would not bother much about remuneration if potential films and challenging roles come across. The hot lady, who used to charge around Rs 1.5 Cr earlier, has now reportedly slashed her pay to less than Rs 1 Cr.

Still, no filmmaker is considering the name of Samantha fearing that she would get married at any time and that audiences would not be interested in married actresses. Balayya’s Gautamiputra Satakarni is already in Rs 40 Cr club and by its full run, it is expected to enter the Rs 50 Cr club. Nagarjuna has already proved his mettle with ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ last year.

Venky’s current biggest solo grosser is ‘Babu Bangaram’, which couldn’t touch even the Rs 30 Cr mark. Although SVSC and Gopala Gopala were big grossers, they relied mostly on the star power of Mahesh and Pawan respectively. Venky immediately needs a huge blockbuster to match his contemporary seniors.

Reportedly, Venkatesh’s new film in the direction of Puri Jagannath, ‘Jana Gana Mana’, is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 45 Cr. So, Rs 50 Cr at box office is a must for this film to land producers into safe zone. If Venky manages to breach the Rs 50 Cr mark with Jana Gana Mana, it will be a proud moment for Daggubati fans as well.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 has proved that if a big film carrying high expectations offers at least average content, it can rake in record moolah at box office.

By collecting Rs 70 Cr share in just six days, Khaidi No.150 has given enough confidence to buyers that Rs 100 Cr share is not anymore an unachievable target.

The expectations on Baahubali 2 are already staggering and we leave it aside as it falls into the league where no film has ever reached. The next two biggies are #Mahesh23 and #Pawan23.

#Mahesh23, being directed by star director AR Murugadoss, is already a hot cake among buyers and the newly expanded market is giving huge boost to this film. Combining the business of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages, this untitled film is expected to do pre-release business of Rs 150 Cr. Given how big the names of Mahesh and Murugadoss are, recovering this amount is no monumental task provided minimum guarantee content.

Although Pawan has lined up three films, buyers and audiences have highest expectations from his collaboration with Trivikram, #Pawan23. Given that their last film ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ became an industry hit, it would be an understatement to say that their new film could do pre-release business of Rs 100 Cr. After the success of Khaidi No.150, another Rs 10 Cr could add to this total.

With solid content, only sky is the limit for the box office prospects of these two biggies.

However, Charan chose to leave aside this option as he had already planned to release his father megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No.150’ for Sankranthi. In such scenario, he had no other option but release Dhruva in unseasonal month, December and take a huge risk. The young mega hero did it and he is a very happy man now as both his hard work and sacrifice paid off.

First, Charan’s hard work and courageous decision in the case of Dhruva turned fruitful after the film raked in Rs 56 Cr share despite being released in December and in the aftermath of demonetization. Had the film released in a better season, it would have collected at least Rs 10 Cr more.

Now, Charan’s sacrifice has also paid off in the form of a blockbuster like Khaidi No.150. As Charan felt his father’s comeback film was more important than his image makeover film, he reserved the Sankranthi slot for Khaidi and the commercial entertainer has already amassed Rs 70 Cr worldwide share in just 6 days. At this speed, it would be no wonder if the Chiru starrer amasses Rs 100 Cr share and become the only second film after Baahubali to do so.

Buoyed with the success, Charan has already started preparations to produce Chiru’s next film on a much bigger scale.

Since Soggade turned out to be hit and title too played its role, Kalyan decided to have a pure Telugu title to his ongoing film with Chaitu as well and to which Chaitu readily agreed.

While rumours had it that the film would be titled as Ninne Pelladatha, however, the team chose not to name it after that.

Latest buzz is that the film would be called as Allari Alludu which again is the title of Nag’s previous film. Apparently, this film with Kalyan is on the lines of Nag’s classic Ninne Pelladatha.

Khaidi No.150 needs another Rs 20 Cr at least and Gautamiputra Satakarni should amass Rs 10 Cr more to land the distributors into safe zone.

Mumbai: Actress Taapsee Pannu gatecrashed a real life pre-wedding celebration to promote her upcoming film “Runningshaadi.com”. She says she was very thrilled and nervous to do it.

“I was so thrilled and slightly nervous to execute this idea. Nothing can be more special to play the first song of our film in a ‘real shaadi’. I took the risk of gatecrashing the sangeet ceremony and to my surprise, the guests there welcomed me with equal enthusiasm,” Taapsee said in a statement.

Taapsee attended the celebrations at a suburban hotel here on Tuesday evening. She was decked up in Indian attire and surprised the to be bride and groom, who were living up their sangeet ceremony.

Taapsee got the music stopped, and soon took centre stage to explain the purpose of her visit to everyone. She then invited the guests to shake a leg with her on the song “Dimpy de naal bhaage Bunty”, sung by late Punjabi singer Labh Janjua.

The “Pink” star said that the bride and groom had no idea about her visit.

“They were totally taken back. The entire gathering danced with me on my song. It was a Gujarati wedding, but the way they did a Punjabi jig was priceless. I shall remember this experience for a lifetime because this is the first time ever I have gatecrashed a wedding function,” she added.

Sunitha is one of the most beautiful singers in Tollywood. She is also popular TV host and equally popular dubbing artiste.

She burst into Tollywood scene with the hit number “Ee Velalo Neevu Emi Chestu Untavo” from “Gulabi”. Since then she has crooned hundreds of songs in many movies.

Balakrishna is visiting US this weekend to thank the audience for making GPSK a hit in the territory.

It is the first Balakrishna’s film to gross over $ 1 Million and is still holding pretty well. Buyers are hoping that Balakrishna’s visit will give GPSK an additional boost at the box office.

Balakrishna fans are reportedly asked to watch GPSK again in this weekend so that the film could go past $ 2 Million mark in US.

Ticket price of the shows that Balakrishna attends will be huge as per reports. GPSK is already into profits in overseas and Balakrishna’s tour will help it to reach further heights.

Although GPSK has been performing well in the domestic circuit, Balakrishna fans are particularly thrilled about its show in US.

Not many expected the film to collect 1 Million amid heavy competition. Also this is the only area where GPSK dominated Khaidi No. 150 from its day 1, but is yet to cross Khaidi’s gross collections ($2.2 Million and still running) in US.

It remains to be seen whether Balakrishna’s visit and the appeal to NBK fans helps GPSK to beat Khaidi in full run or not.
