rana

Ever since actor Rana, arguably, made a remarkable debut with Shekar Kammula’s ‘Leader’, he has been inundated with numerous political genres in Telugu. But, he chose to pick offbeat roles which include B.Tech Babu in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Bhallala Deva in Baahubali among many.

For his next under the direction of Teja, titled Nene Raju Nene Manthri, the photo of the actor dressed up in Khadi attire makes him look like a fierce politico. And it is something which can be seen as a contrary to 2010’s Leader. Rana himself shared the this picture tweeting, “Day 1 of shoot in 2017 started yesterday in Ananthapur!! Thank you for the love!!”

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal and Catherine Tresa, NRNM is being rolled out by Suresh Babu under Suresh Productions.

Apart from Nene Raju Nene Manthri, Rana has a good line up of films due in 2017- Baahubali: The Conclusion, Ghazi and Madai Thiranthu (Tamil).

The actor, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, on Tuesday, toured Uddanam village in Srikakulam to project the kidney problems of people living there. Besides making an appeal to address the issue, he has come with few suggestions which needs to be implemented by AP government at full speed.

Having said that his team of members (doctors, researchers and social activists) would come up with a report in 15 days, the actor-turned-politico recommended six basic essentials to the sufferers in Uddhanam village.

In a series of tweets, he proposed:

1.Free Bus passes/Travel to the patient & attendant.

2.Free Medicines to all the kidney affected victims in endemic areas.

3.Rehabilitation of the orphans of affected families.

4.Supply of ‘RO’ water as per ‘WHO’ standards.
(The following needs to be implemented as soon as possible)

5.Establishment of at least one dialysis center to each mandal in the affected area.

6.Posting of Nephrologists (Post DM super specialist) in the affected regions.

The Andhra Pradesh state health minister, Kamineni Srinivas, who earlier offered a comment, says “we’re (government) spending money on providing free treatment to the kidney patients.”

KTR, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, is projecting handloom in state from last few days. He’s made an appeal to opposition & ruling party MLAs, public representatives, officials and other staff members to wear handloom clothes for at-least once in a week.

Pushing the campaign further, he took it to Twitter and tagged several film and sport celebs to turn up for the cause. Not so surprisingly, his tweet spread like a wildfire and many shored up the cause on Twitter and few folks responded with pictures of them wearing handloom clothes.

Interestingly, Universal hero Kamal Haasan who was tagged by KTR turned up for this cause and supported saying, “I also support handloom weavers. Have grown seeing my father wear nothing but handloom clothes, through his life (sic).” While the senior journalist Sardesai Rajdeep tweeted ‘Happy to support! #WearHandloom’, tennis star Sania Mirza and actor Rana also pitched for the campaign.

Apart from Kamal, Rana, Sania and Rajdeep, Mahesh Babu, Vivek Oberai, Nagarjuna, Lakshmi Manchu, Samantha Prabhu and PV Sindhu have also been nominated by the Minister to promote the initiative on social media. KTR’s plan to get support for the handloom weavers is getting admired by everyone and apparently, there’s enough boost coming from all quarters of people.

Vijay Sethupathi Telugu Plans Disturbed!

Like all the Tamil heroes are eyeing for a share in big Telugu market, hero Vijay Sethupathi is also excited to have a new start in Telugu states this year. Apparently, we can remember Siva Karthikeyan’s ‘Remo’ enjoyed a blast in Telugu film trade giving him a new identity in last year.

Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming flick ‘Puriyaadha Pudhir’ is dubbed into Telugu as ‘Pizza 2.’ After a stiff competition, one of the producers from Telugu bagged the rights. Banking on ‘Pizza’ success, they thought of roping Vijay Sethupathi directly into action for Telugu promotions and give him a much needed break.

Unfortunately, ‘Puriyaadha Pudhir’ is reported for Pongal release which is unfavorable time for Telugu market. When Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Sharwanand are fighting in centre, there will be no space for ‘Pizza 2’ and Vijay Sethupathi to grab the attention. Most probably, ‘Pizza 2’ might release in February. The suspense thriller is directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi stars Gayathrie as heroine.

Above is the picture captured from shooting spot in Ananthapur wherein Rana seems to be on a political campaign as part of script! ‘Day 1 of shoot in 2017 started yesterday in Ananthapur! Thank you for the love,’ Rana said.

Mahesh Babu made a tall promise to Aswini Dutt long back to come back and work on Vyjayanthi banner whenever a call is received. Somehow, Dutt took long time to recover from ‘Shakti’ debacle and finally, he happened to call Telugu Super Star few months back remembering the commitment.

Although Mahesh Babu was busy and hasn’t got enough call sheets to immediately adjust for Dutt but the good thing he does is discussed the same with Namrata. Around same time, ‘Brahmotsavam’ bombed and their next collaboration with PVP Cinema went in dilemma. Thus the proposal of Mahesh-Aswini Dutt combo arrived on cards and is now ready to go.

However, Mahesh Babu on precautionary note informed Aswini Dutt to associate with Dil Raju because of an obligation from Vamsy Paidipally and high budget needed for this film can also become a burden alone on Vyjayanthi, which has been off the action from last few years. Looks like, Mahesh is strongly determined to bring the prestigious banner back in action by providing them a commercial break.

It is not a good sign that both the films release on the same day and Charan understood it. I further appreciate Charan Babu for wishing ‘Satakarni’s success. Khaidi on 11th: Balayya Fans Pressure On Producers

movies

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s most anticipated film Gautamiputra Satakarni might have been slated for release on Jan 12th. But producers having tough time as fans, distributors and a few exhibitors are mounting pressure on producers to advance the film’s release by a day since Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 is coming on Jan 11th.

Balakrishna and Chiru have always been seen as arch rivals on silver screen. Fans of both Nandamuri and Mega clans have been famous for waging wars against each other from longtime. The fans’ clash is at the peek now as both the prestigious films (Chiru 150, Balayya 100) of their favourite heroes slugging it out at Box Office for Sankranthi.

Now that Chiru is coming on Jan 11th, a day ahead than Balayya’s film, Nandamuri fans are putting a lot of pressure on director Krish, producer Rajeev to release GPSK for 11th by hook or crook.

It’s learnt that producers too now in dilemma with fans, exhibitors pressure. Sources close to the producers said they’re in contemplation. As of now, we can’t say anything. Anything may happen at anytime. A crucial announcement is expected shortly.

Satakarni Also On Jan 11!?

That’s the real masti and mazaa when two titans of Tollywood viz. Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are set to fight in Sankranti festival battle. As per reports we had till few hours back, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No 150’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ are arriving on January 11th and 12th respectively.

Here comes the sensational amendment. Unable to bear the coercion from exhibitors, buyers and most importantly Nandamuri Fans in various regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, director Krish and producers Rajiv Reddy and Sai Babu are contemplating to prepone Satakarni release date from January 12 to 11th.

Yes, Nandamuri Fans are strongly putting forward the sentiment of ‘Narasimha Naidu’ Vs ‘Mrugaraju’ released long back in 2001 for the same Sankranti festival on January 11th and Balayya winning the war by big margin. Looks like Krish is hell bent to bow before Fans demands and Satakarni is all likely to take direct challenge with Khaidi on the same day. An announcement on this is expected very soon.

Is GPSK Coming On Jan 11?

Share

gspk

Nandamuri Balakrishna fans are severely upset with advancement of Khaidi No 150 release date from January 13th to 11th.

Contrary to past reports on Chiranjeevi’s 150th project will hit the screens by one day late than Balakrishna’s 100th Gautamiputra Satakarni, the official announcement by Ramcharan few minutes back on his dad’s film releasing on Jan 11th is generating tremors in Nandamuri fans circles.

Director Krish is said to have received repeated requests from fans and exhibitors to pull the release to January 11th.

Currently, Krish is in Mumbai supervising final post production works is discussing the same with his producers. If they re-curve by these appeals, GPSK will also get ready for huge release on the same day and the clash is unavoidable.

Narasimha Naidu Vs Mrugaraju is the classic example in 2001 when both big films were released on same date of January 11th in Pongal season.

Most probably Krish will officially announce GPSK release date as January 11th on January 5th after censor certification.

Let’s keep fingers crossed for couple of more days because nothing can beat the fans compulsion.

Everyone in the Tollywood circles know how important Khaidi No. 150 for Chiranjeevi. Especially after his cameo in Ram Charan-starrer Bruce Lee received a set back, all eyes on Khaidi No. 150.

It’s like now or never for Chiru and his stardom is put under the litmus test for his comeback film.

Keeping all these in mind, Chiru said to have watched the whole film in the edit suit and reportedly instructed to trim few unwanted scenes.

As per the sources, Chiru asked the editors to scissor few forced comedy scenes which seem to be deviating from the main track of the film. Initially few special comedy scenes were included in the remake unlike its original Kaththi.

But towards the end, Chiru wasn’t convinced watching them on the edit table and told to delete them in the final copy. Thus, Chiru finally brought Khaidi to a shape.

Producer Ram Charan too give complete control to his Mega Star father Chiru who is famous for having good judgement.

As the film is all set for release on Jan 11, let’s wait and see what would be the result.

Shatamanam Bhavati Trailer Review

Share

shatamanam-bhavati

A highly refreshing theatrical trailer of ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’, released a couple of minutes ago, appears to be the most promising for the movie’s success. The director Satish Vegnesha has tried to narrate the story in a nutshell.

Though the story appeared to be one liner with an NRI heroine visits to her relatives house at a village in India and falls for hero, the treatment of the film seems to be awe inspiring with the subtle performance of Sharwanand. Moreover, Anupama looked dazzling in half saris.

“Tirupati laddu…Annaram prasadam..nee chethi coffee..eeti teste veru,” dialogue of hero to his mom not only impresses the audience but also betokens the importance of Jayasudha’s character.

“Appudappudoo devudi seva…eppudoo tatayya seva chesukuntoo, naa jeevitham Atreyapuraniki ankitham,” another touching dialogue of hero that hints the importance of Prakash Raj’s role. Further, Atreyapuram village of East Godavari district, renowned for world  famous pootharekulu, is interlinked with the story backdrop. All in all, the trailer is the feast for the youth, who have adulation on romantic entertainers and for the family audience, who always prefer to watch refreshing family entertainers.
